Searching For The Perfect Tree

Karl and I love having a real tree in our house for Christmas. It just sets the mood. It is also fun playing in the mountain snow. We decided to try Ephraim Canyon this year. This was the best tree we have found yet.

This is how much fun Jersee had.

After we found the tree we drank hot chocolate then the kids went sleigh riding.

Jaydee got bored decorating the tree, so she found her own entertainment.

We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas.

Halloween

Yes, I know this is a little late, but we have been so busy working on the house.

Jaydee was a Pegasus, not a unicorn.

Kort was something different for every party we went to.

I think this is the best picture we took of Kevin: ( He is being served for dinner.

Happy Late Halloween!!

soccer

The boys had so much fun at soccer this year. (and when I say boys I mean Karl too) Karl was able to coach Kort's team and assist Kevin's team.

Jersee's ONE!!!!

Jersee has been such a good little baby. She doesn't complain hardly ever. Sandra reminds us all the time of how good of a baby she is. She says she is the best baby she has ever been around. She started walking at 11 months so she is all over the place. We are so glad that she is part of our family.

This is as messy as she got with her cake. She put the candle out with her hands which kind of ruined the whole cake eating thing.

Mutt'n bust'n CHAMP

Kevin and Kort both got to ride sheep this year at the fair. Kevin has been excited ever since last year when his cousin won the "biggest trophy ever." Kort couldn't make up his mind whether or not it was something he wanted to give it a try.............but he did. And he loved it! Kort scored a 82.

Kevin scored a 85

Kevin was the winner of the night.

His smile is priceless. He carried the trophy around the fair proudly for the rest of the night.

Alex won the trophy last year. So now they will both have HUGE trophies displayed in their rooms.

Way to go bud!!

Major catch up

I am so far behind. So to make myself feel better I am going to do a quick catch up.
Easter

We have to color enough eggs to roll down the sand hill and shoot.

"Hunt" at the park

We hate it when it snows on Easter.

Sand surfing

Next is Kort's Preschool Graduation

Next year, Kort will finally play coach pitch.

baseball

Kevin's team took first in the Lions tournament. For those of you that are not from Sanpete, that's all that matters. They only lost one game all season.

Top Ten

As most of you know we moved to Ephraim. We have been thinking about selling our house for a while now. We put it on KSL just to see what it would do and it sold. We have been feeling a little house broke lately. So we are down sizing. It all happened so fast. Right now we are living with Sandra. We close on our new house towards the end of June. We will be putting new carpet, painting, and updating the electrical in July, and hopefully moving in in August. We are so sad to be leaving Manti, but we are excited to be moving back to Ephraim. Here is the top ten reasons we will miss Manti.

10. Close to Gunnison Res...... It is so nice loading the boat up and driving ten minutes to get to a lake. I know it only adds 15 minutes, but it makes those last minute boats trips seem so easy.

9. Close to the cabin.....It's only 20 minutes from Manti to the cabin. It makes those 1 night stays worth it.

8. Old Folks Committee.....Karl and I were the committee chairman this year. It is so fun spending one day a year with the old folks of our community. Also the people on the committee are a hoot to hang out with.

7. The pageant....I love pageant time in Manti. There are so many people walking the streets, and I love helping with the turkey dinners.

6. Our ward.....We have felt so comfortable in the callings that we had. I was blessed to be the 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency (going on 4 years) and Karl was just put into the bishopric. The last Sunday I couldn't walk out in the halls without having multiple people stop me and tell me they would miss our family.

5. Living so close to the school.....Every morning Kevin and Karl would meet the other Cox's (Madison and Alex) at the corner, and the kids would walk 1 block to school together. This coming school year Kort would have been able to join them.

4. Living so close to the park.....We lived 1 block away from the city park.

3. Our house.....

We built this house and made it our own.

2. The temple.....I loved how the temple was a part of our everyday life whether it was from going there, driving by, or seeing it from our house. This was the view from our house.

Too bad it was from this little window in our bathroom.

And the # 1 reason we think it sucks leaving Manti is..............................................................................

these 6 people. We have gotten so close to these guys. We have felt so blessed to live a block away from them. They are our best friends. Hardly a day went by that we didn't talk. There were many nights they spent entertaining us at there house. I guess now when we need to be entertained we will have to drive 15 minutes to their house, instead of walking. Thanks for being such great neighbors guys.

PiNeWoOd DeRbY

This was Kevin's first year in the Derby. I don't know who was more excited, Karl or Kevin.

Kevin designed his car by himself. He chose a BYU theme, with of course # 32.

His car is the one in first. Go 32 Go!!!!

The proud winners of the night, yup his car won 1st place!!
