4 months!

I can hardly believe that my baby girl is 4 months old today! We went to the doctor this morning and here are her stats:
Length - 24in. 50%
Weight - 14.1lbs 60%
Head - 16in. 50%
I love this little girl so much. I love the way she smiles and breaths in really loud everytime Brian looks at her. I love the way she sucks on her hands so hard that I can hear it through the monitor. I love the way she stares at Crue and watches his every move. I love that she depends on me for her life. I love the way she looks up at me when she is eating as if to say "thanks mom". I love that she is such a good nurser and is happy for 3 hours after she eats. I LOVE that she is sleeping through the night for 12 hours!
I just LOVE her. I feel so blessed to have her in my life and to be so lucky to be her mom! We got off to a rough start but life is so good now. I couldn't imagine my life any other way.
Happy 4 months Cami! We love you!

Craziness!

**(This is a long post so if you don't want to read, you can jump down to the pictures)**
So, we'll start with the latest! Brian and I had planned to celebrate our anniversary this past Sat. (the 27th). I had my sister all lined up to watch the kids that evening and so we started the day being lazy and hanging out with the kids. Brian decided to go outside and rake the yard and let Crue play and ride his bike, and I decided to stay inside to get some laundry done and hang out with Cami. Around 1:00 I thought I would go get Crue and get him in the tub and down for a nap so he wouldn't be grumpy at Becky's later, but as I was heading out to get him, Cami woke up and needed to be fed. So, I fed her and thought I would get Crue as soon as I was done. Well, not even 10 min later, I heard Crue crying down in the garage and Brian telling him he was going to be okay. I didn't think much of it but the crying continued so I decided to go down and check it out. As I was walking downstairs, Tiff (our neighbor and good friend) was coming to get me and with tears in her eyes she told me that Crue and Bo (her little boy) were jumping on the tramp and Crue jumped forward and hit his mouth on the bar and knocked out his front tooth! AH. I thought she was kidding, but as soon as I got outside I saw the blood running out of his mouth! At first we did think the tooth was gone, but the more we looked we could still see it, it had just been pushed completely up into his gums and turned sideways! I was a mess and didn't know what to do. I called a couple of dentists who told me to take him to the ER, so we headed to Primary Childrens shortly after. I thought for sure they were going to extract his tooth. It looked that bad. We waited and waited, and then we finally saw the doctor who told us that this is a common injury and the tooth was intact. She sent us home with an antibiotic (for infection) and told us the tooth would re-erupt on its own. I thought she was crazy, but that was good news! I still needed to follow up with a pediatric dentist to get x-rays and all that good stuff. So today we went to the dentist and it was a nightmare! There is nothing worse than seeing your child in pain. My heart ached for him wishing I could take away the pain for him... wishing it was me instead of him. She took x-rays and told me that his front tooth and the one next to it (the lateral) were out of place. (ya think?) So just like a broken bone that needed to be reset into place she needed to set the teeth back in place for them to grow in straight. She numbed his mouth, then gave him the shots (terrible) and then yanked, pushed, pulled on my poor little boys mouth! But its all done. Now we just wait and hope he doesn't get an abscess or other infection that might cause him to have the tooth pulled. But she seems confident that it will just grow back in where it is supposed to. I still think that is crazy, but am grateful it will hopefully grow back. That evening (since we didn't go out), I had a lot of time to think and time to feel sorry for myself and for my baby. I kept thinking about his smile, his perfect teeth (that were now gone) and everything else that runs through your mind when something traumatic happens. But I was ashamed of myself for having a pity party... My sweet Crue put things in perspective for me real quick. We had this conversation when he saw that I was crying..
Crue: What happen, mom, what happen?
Me: mommy feels bad about your mouth. I'm sad.
Crue: I okay mom. I okay.
Pretty sad that a 2 year old had to tell me he is okay, right? I should be counting my many blessings that he didn't lose a limb or we weren't driving to the hospital with a life threatening disease. It's just a tooth. A pretty tooth, but just a tooth. And my little boy is here and healthy and happy and he is OKAY! It has been a really rough year for our family and I just felt like I couldn't handle anything else, but I am okay and I am grateful for my family and my kids who teach me so much!
I haven't taken any pictures of his mouth because it is really hard for me to get in there. He doesn't like to show us his "dinosaur" very often, but as soon as I get one I will post it. It's pretty crazy! But I have to remember these are just baby teeth and this too will pass! Sorry for the book but I need to document this somewhere!
SO, instead
Brian and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on the 29th (our actual anniversary) by going out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and some shopping at Fashion Place. (I love that mall).. Of course we had to take a cheesy photo of ourselves in the car before dinner!
He also surprised me with these beautiful roses! I love my husband so much and I am so grateful I have him everyday. Thanks for being my partner in crime honey!
Laurel and I took the kids to the zoo last week... I didn't take many pictures, but this one was amazing! This tiger cub sat and stared at Laurel and Sienna for a good 5 min solid. Then as soon as they walked away, so did he. He was looking at them as if they were his next meal :)

Laurel and "the bug" on the Merry Go Round.

And my unpredictable Crue sitting on the peacock with aunt Lo Lo.

Then on March 17th, I was the meanest mom ever and took my tiny 11 week old and got her ears pierced! Cute little thing. I have always wanted to get my girls ears pierced when they were little and now that I have one I couldn't wait. Brian thought I was crazy, and at the time so did I, but I am so glad I did it and she looks so cute!
Here are a few pictures of her earrings and some with Crue. I love my kids so much!

{Blessing Day}

We blessed Camryn on Sun March 7th at church. It was an emotional and beautiful day! Brian did an amazing job and having our families there for support was so nice. I can't express in words how much I love my family. My sweet Cami has added such joy to our lives, and blessed us in so many ways. It's so funny now to think of our lives without her... its like she has always been here. I can't imagine it any other way. I love my kids and my husband so much and I am so grateful for them everyday! Thanks to everyone who joined us on this special day. It was so nice to have so many of our family members there with us!

My beautiful Cami. All dressed in white!

Too Long

It's been way too long since I posted anything, and I swore that I would do better at blogging this year. Well, we have had a crazy couple of months since our sweet Cami was born. Two kids has totally thrown everything off. I never knew it would be this hard, but we are surviving.
Around the first of Feb, Crue got sick with what I thought was croup and a cold. It turned into an ear infection and then it was really deep in his chest and not going away. I took him back to the doctors (after being there 3 times that week already) and they tested him for RSV. SCARY! The last thing I needed at my house with a 5 week old was RSV. Well, they LOST his lab work and I never did get the results. Dumb lab. That same day Cami started coughing and I thought my life was over. We took her to the doctor that night and they told me to watch her carefully for fevers and congestion. Sun she was getting worse. Monday she had a fever of 101.5 so we took her in and she got tested for RSV. It came back POSITIVE! Even though I knew in my heart that is what it was, I was not prepared to hear that. Her oxygen was still doing really well at this point so they sent us home and told me to watch her really close. I didn't sleep at all. On Tues she was about the same, but she started throwing up my milk every time she would eat. She had so much congestion and when she coughed she would vomit. It was terrible. Wed. morning she was not doing well and couldn't keep food down very well, so I took her in to the doc AGAIN, and her oxygen was around 88 (They like it to be above 90) and since she wasn't eating well, they were worried about her getting dehydrated. The doctor came in the room and looked at me and told me she needed to be admitted to the hospital right away. I freaked out... let the flood of tears begin! He asked me if I needed to be taken in an ambulance with Cami to Davis hospital because I was so upset. I started laughing because his office is in Kaysville. Five min from the hospital! I got it together and we went straight to the hospital. After 30 min of the nurses trying to get the IV in my tiny little 6 week old, they finally got it in. It was torture, but I knew in my heart she was where she needed to be since she was so sick and so tiny. Brian got there shortly after I did, and my mom as well. It was hard (having 2 kids) worrying about Crue and what to do with him because someone had to stay with Cami all the time. Brian and I have the best families who all were willing to help and took the burden from me and took care of Crue the rest of the week and weekend! Cami got worse before she got better... and that was what the doctor told me would happen. They monitored her heart rate and oxygen, as well as suctioning her nose every 3 hours before she would eat. This helped a ton so she wouldn't throw up as much. By Fri she was doing really well, and holding most of her milk down only throwing up a few times a day. Everyday got better, and by Sat night she was ready to go home. It still took a week or so after we got home for her to get back 100%... but we are all finally happy and healthy! This winter could end anytime! I am so done with it. Hopefully we can all stay well the rest of the winter and summer will get here soon! Here are some pictures of the hospital and after we got home. We got home the night before valentines, so that was nice. It was SO nice to sleep in my own bed and be home with my Crue. Thanks again to everyone who helped us and for all the prayers and phone calls. We couldn't have done it without you!

She's HERE!

Camryn Holje was born on Wed. Dec. 30th at 3:58pm. She weighed 6lbs 1oz, 19.5 inches long. Perfect and healthy! Labor was good and fast --- after they finally got the epidural working (OUCH)! Things are good now that we are home and adjusting. Crue is doing well (better than I thought), and Brian has been amazing help and support. Along with my mom... don't know what I would do without them! Life with 2 kids is definitely different, but I am so glad she is here. Welcome to our family Cami! We love you so much!

Brian and Crue's Snowman! So cute. Brian has had a lot of time with Crue and has been helping me a ton. Frosty is SO cute and Crue loves to go and see him!

♥ LOVE ♥

This little boy melts my heart. Last night I was telling him goodnight and tucking him in, and I said, "I love you"... and he said right back, " Ub you mama". That was worth more than anything in the world!
