Merry Christmas

It has been an amazing year. We purchased a home and remodeled it all of July. Cole and Ila started a new school and Loden hangs out with me all day. Josh is still teaching, playing soccer and strumming his guitar. I'm photographing, dancing with Loden, painting with Ila, and playing games with Cole. Cole and Ila both enjoy Capoeira, a Brazilian martial arts and Cole is a Cub Scout and Ila is a Daisey. Loden is in any kind of mischief he can find, mostly it involves a black pen...another future artist? We are all extremely grateful for extended family visiting this Christmas and for those who are farther than a hug and kiss away we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Love,The Enslen Family

Fall Photos of Kids

I can't believe Loden kept that hat on the entire photo session (all of 15 minutes). After that he was ready to jump into the Hudson river.

Latest news

I wanted to share the beautiful 14 roses Josh sent to me for our 14th Anniversary! Love ya sweetie!

Cole and Ila had their first day of school last Wednesday. We all walked in the rain. The kids loved it....I wonder for how long.

This little Loden is now 18 months old and is 30 lbs. of pure delight. Everyday is something new. Today he locked me in the pantry. Fortunately he decided to reopen the door and let me out a few minutes later. (Josh, we need a door handle on the other side of pantry.) He went through a bottle of shampoo last night. One big bubble bath. He broke our basement window by throwing rocks at it last week (he has one strong throw). That same week he went down the cement stairs behind him in the photo and chipped a tooth. He can now climb up the bunk beds, another disaster just waiting to happen. My favorite past times with him (other than sweeping up behind his trail of demolitian), are dancing, reading books, tickling (he is soooo tickilish) and cuddling. Love you Loden!

Here are some photos of the kids at the creek near our home. I've been dying to take them and I can't wait to do more.

Happy Birthday Ila

So the day after we moved into our house we celebrated Ila's birthday. The only way that happened was with the help of the best party planner in the area and that was Grandma Loden. The best Ukulele entertainer was Papa Loden. Thanks to them Ila didn't miss out with all the chaos of renovating, moving and unpacking, which we are still doing a week later. We love you Ila!

Grandma planned the best party ever. From flowered cupcakes, rainbow sherbet to sandwiches with umbrellas there was plenty to eat. We ran out of time playing all the games but the kids loved the slip-n-slide and water games the most. Thanks again Grandma and Papa Loden for making such great memories with us!
