What's new with me.

I'm the cutest thing ever! Luckily, my folks are modest and didn't show all of you my cute tushy...

I've upgraded my 'vehicle' to 'four wheels'. I'm crawling like a mad-woman. I'm also pulling myself up but I keep falling back onto my little bum, haven't quite got it. I love to explore-luckily my mommy lets me...until I go after daddy's computer cord. It's the only I like. I think that if I keep going after it, one of these times she's just going to give in and let me gum it until my heart's content.

My mommy says I'm just like a puppy....I try to eat shoes, I eat paper and I circle my crib and burrow my way into the blankets until I find a place that suits my comfort. I sleep in very odd positions now...mommy can't stop taking pictures of them. I hear her sneak into my room during nap times clicking the camera over and over again....you'd think that she'd get tired of the same old thing. Mother's anyway!

Good to be home!

Our trip was successful, eventful and LONG! Tatym was about ready to kill us both for taking her on such a long road trip. She travels really well but a person, young or old, can only take so much! HaHa

Cy's interview went well. Of course they were unable to tell him "yes you're in" or "Sorry, no go". However, Cy felt really good about it and says he's 90% sure he'll get in. There are not many students starting in January so there is room for him. Besides, this is Cy we're talking about-who wouldn't let him in??? HaHa So, it's a move for us.

We looked for housing while we were there. Vancouver was the resolve...Hopefully we'll get into a place called The Mews at Cascadia Village. It felt like home. Now we just have to have a garage sale or post everything on Craig's List...anyone want to buy a really big sectional sofa/recliner/sleeper????? Anyone? Anyone?.....

Love to all!

To all those who claim we are not Christians...A message for you.

It is our sincere and deepest testimony that God lives. He is our literal Father in Heaven. We are all children of God.
We know that Jesus is the Christ. He lives! He loves us and He suffered FREELY for all of us in the Garden and on the Cross of Calvary, taking our sins and pains upon himself, giving us the capability to return, one day in glory, to live with Him and our Heavenly Parents again. The Lord is our rock, salvation, best friend and elder brother.
It is our testimony that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth today. It has been divinely restored through revelation and inspiration to the Prophet Joseph Smith. It has been organized in the very manor that Christ himself organized it while in His ministry, calling a Prophet and 12 Apostles. We love Him, we thank Him, and we believe in Him. It is through Him only that we are saved. He is the Light, Life and Truth of the world. It is in His name, even Jesus Christ, that we leave this small portion of our testimony. Amen

"I can sit up mommy!"

Valentine's Day Progressive Dinner

Cy and I enjoyed an evening of romance and food with four other couples on Friday the 13th. We started at the Goodrum's, Tara and Alex, for "The Gathering" course. Then we headed to the Juett's, Jon and Amber, for the appetizer - Bread Italian style with Oil and Vinegar and Stuffed Mushrooms! Super yummy. Then it was to our house for the Salad and Entree. We served Strawberrry Tossed salad, Baked Salmon, Twice Baked Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Steamed Asparagus in Lemon Butter with a dinner roll under sparkling lights, around candlelight, on a fun tablescape. I had a blast decorating for it. I raided my Aunt's craft closet-Thank you Paige! Then we headed out our back door to the Robinson's for Cheesecake and The Newlywed Game. We all agreed that it was the most and hardest we had laughed in a great while! We were all in stitches.

I love Mommy and Baby Einstein!

I love to snuggle mommy at nap and bed time. She's so good to me. I love sitting very still on her lap while she reads stories to me. Daddy too! He can't as often as mommy but that's why it's an extra special treat. (I don't care too much for that icky food they've been feeding me though. I eat it anyway cause mommy says it's good for me). I also love to have mommy put in my Baby Einstein videos! I just sit and watch and talk and laugh and play...Thank you Aunt Amber and Damon!

Oh, yes. That's right. I'm sitting up now, all by myself even. So, for the tally; almost 8 months worth of growing, practically out of my 6 month clothes, two toofs (on the bottom of course), army crawling, up on all fours, hair in clips (cause there's enough now) and sitting up....oh, and talking like crazy but no one knows what I'm saying. Does that count? And, can I just say....my cute ears are my best feature? Everyone just goes bonkers over them.

Anything else you want to know you'll have to ask mommy...I'm too sleepy...."yyyyaaaawwwnnnn....sigh...."

"Two Toof Tatym"

Tatym has managed to cut two teeth by 7 months without running a fever or being sickly. She's growing up so fast, we can't believe it. She's quickly coming out of her 6 month clothes. She's been army crawling for some time now but not to the point where she has gotten into everything. Before we know it, she'll be taking off on all fours reeking havoc and driving her parents to complete destruction! HaHa

Cy is up to his old ways....researching everything until he can't research any more. The up side is that we learn a ton as a family. I never thought tapeworms and cadavers would be something that intrigues me, but they do.

I'm just busy being a mommy and loving it. Tatym and I enjoy quiet times at home and outings out to Grandma's house or free cooking classes in town. I've taken up racquet ball-I'm so addicted! I just can't get enough of it. I play, religiously, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the St. George Recreation Center. Of course most often the score is called in my opponent's favor, "Kickin' Trash to Gettin' Stomped" but at least it's a good workout. HaHa

As a whole, we're happy and content in our life's circumstance. It's a funny thing what poverty does to people. Come the time that we start calling Cy "Dr. Fisher", we won't know what to do with ourselves. Someone's going to have to teach us how to spend money. HaHa

We're just awaiting November when Tatym and I move up to Portland. Cy will be following after mid-December after finals are over. Then, come January, he'll start his Graduate Program. The plan, as of yet, is that we'll move in with his parents for a few months before we leave to save some money. We'll have to see about that prospect. HaHa

Our First Entry

We're so excited to start blogging. We hope to keep this as up-to-date as possible.

We are all doing well. Cy's super busy with his Bachelors program. He'll graduate in the winter with a BA of Biology then it's off to Portland, OR for us. Tatym and I will be moving at the end of November to get settled in. Cy will finish up his finals and move toward the middle of December. He will have to turn right around upon his arrival to start an intense Graduate Program. Dr. Fisher he will become! He will be studying to become a Naturopathic Doctor.

Tatym is growing up so fast...we can hardly keep up with her and she's not even crawling yet! HaHa She has the cutest laugh and smile that just brighten up our whole day. We enjoy being parents and await the appropriate time to have another to add to our small, but growing family.
