Welcoming Eric

Eric arrived April 11th weighing 8lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.

Proud Daddy with his boy!

The girls enjoyed meeting Eric. Our family now feels complete.

Grandma Harris was able to come and stay with us which was a big help since I was on bed rest for the last couple weeks of the pregnancy. It was even a bigger help to have her here after Eric arrived. Thanks Grandma and sorry it rained so much!!!!

Mission - Keep Diaper ON!

Remember how I described Avery as being adventurous? Well, that included discovering how to take off her diaper. I couldn't keep it on her. She wasn't quite ready for potty training so we had to figure out a way to keep the diaper on. It was tiring cleaning up her artistic messes. We tried having her wear overalls - but she figured out how to unsnap the pants and get to her diaper. We tried onsies - but she figured out how to get those off without unsnapping them - let's just say all the necks are stretched out. This was the latest effort of keeping her diaper on. MASKING TAPE!

Expecting Eric

The girls were excited about meeting their new little brother. They were able to feel him move often. While Madison understood what was making mommy's tummy move, I'm not quite sure what went through Avery's mind. She sure was cute when she would touch my tummy and say "baby brother".

Annual School Luau

Every year Madison's school puts on a luau. This year she invited one of her friends along. They had a great time. What cuties!!!

Winter Wonderland

Winter in Ohio is much, much different than what I am used to growing up in AZ. I try to look at the bright side of things...having a snow storm in March doesn't make it very easy. My bright moment of this storm??? How beautiful it looked right after it snowed. Of course, I couldn't go outside - by this point in the pregnancy my feet and ankles were pretty swollen. I could only wear my slippers. And yes, I did go to the grocery store in my slippers. One of my AZ friends suggested I wear flip-flops, but I had to remind them that wouldn't work very well with snow on the ground. At least with my fur-lined slippers I could wear socks.

Avery

Avery is a very independent, strong-willed child. She is adventurous and playful. She makes me smile every day.

I never know what I am going to find after Avery's naptime. We re-arranged the bedrooms and Avery's room got some different furniture in preparation for the baby. Each time I went to get her after nap I found my adventurous little spirited girl enjoying the "new" furniture. And yes, there were things inside - they just found their way to the floor...all over the floor.

Avery all dressed to go out-side. Couldn't resist a picture of her all bundled up.

She loves, loves, loves her froggy shirt and chooses to wear it often. She even tried to wear it today, in the middle of summer. Luckily, I was able to persuade her to put on something more conducive to the weather. (yes, I am back posting)

Bridal Shower Invites

I was commissioned by a friend to make bridal shower invites for a shower she was hosting. The theme was tea party and the brides wedding colors were pink and yellow. I enjoyed making these invites and hope she and her friends enjoyed getting them.
