Jack Signing!

So people keep telling me they want to see Jack signing.  So here is a cute video of him signing along with a song on Signing Times. What would we do with out signing times?  If you know any sign language you should be able to catch 3 signs; Cracker, apple and Ice cream.  He doesn't sign them perfect, but I think he is pretty close.  What can you expect from a 2 year old?  If you listen you can hear Caden and Halle yelling cheese and banana (aka nana) at the end of the video.  Love it!

Fall Fun

Well There is so much to tell about what has been going on.  First of all my dad has been really sick.  Poor guy, it has been a rough year for him.  Anyway,  He was in the hospital in a coma in June with some serious respiratory problems.  They had to do a major surgery and biopsy his lungs to find out what was wrong with him.  After the surgery his lungs were failing so they put him in a medically induced coma for a week until he was strong enough to breath on his own. It turned out that a medication he has been on for 20 years caused the problems in his lungs, so he is off that now. Anyway, after he started improving they took him out of a coma and he has had to re-learn how to do everything again.  He couldn't walk or eat or stand up on his own.  He was finally doing better and his lungs have been improving, but then he got the swine flu so he went back to the hospital in the ICU again.  He is doing a little better and is hoping to be released tomorrow.  I have to say that I have been amazed with my Dad.  He has been so patient and easy going about everything. Our family has also been so thankful and blessed by all the amazing things people have done to help our family during this difficult time.  What a blessing to have some many wonderful friends and family so willing to give service and support.  We couldn't have made it without the countless prayers and support. It has been a pretty scary few months and we were afraid we might lose him, but I think things should hopefully keep improving after he gets over the flu.
The kids have had a great fall!  We have been carving pumpkins and painting pumpkins with friends in the ward, trick-or-treating, ect.  We also went to Vertrucio (spelling?) Farms with the kids and my parents.  It was so cute.  They had all sorts of great activities for the kids to do and it was reasonably priced. The kids had a really great time looking at the animals and riding the train. I don't have the trick-or-treating photos yet so that will be another post if I get around to it.

This is one of the kids favorite thing at the farm.  They had a cow for the kids to milk.  They just attached utters to a bucket and filled it with water.  The kids sat and milked the cow forever.

Heres video below of the kids carving pumpkins with Dad.  Ryan is on the phone for half  of it, but Jack signs that he wants to eat the pumpkin and he thinks it is cereal inside. I thought it was pretty cute.

Fun in the yard

I took this video this morning and thought it was so cute.  I just had to post it today. The kids love their John  Deer tractor.  We got it from our neighbor awhile ago, but the batteries don't really work, so Ryan took the motor out of it yesterday and now it is a lot easier to push around.  The babies love to push each other around in it.  And for those of you who don't know Halle well; now you get to see her "not so sweet side" here on the video. She kept throwing tantrums when the truck got stuck.  Pretty funny!  She sometimes has problems with her temper.  We are working on that, but that's easier said then done.

Summer vacation

Ok, so here I am way behind again on posting.  But here is our annual trip to Utah pictures.  The kids had a really good time this year.  We visited my grandparents in St. George briefly on the way up and then while we were in Salt lake we stayed with Ryans brother Specer and his family.  I have to say, I was expecting the car ride up to be a total nightmare.  The kids did a lot better than I thought they would.  They were o.k. on the ride up, but they were awesome on they way back home! So all and all the trip was a success.  So below are pictures we took of the kids at my Grandparents house playing in the water in the backyard half naked.  The first one is Caden.

Ryan was squirting Jack right in the head with the hose and he loved it.  Go figure?!
We spent one day up at Ryan's friends Family ranch. They own thousands of acres of land a have a cabin there with a beautiful view of the mountains and a lake. It was absolutely georgeous.  I took Halle to the stable and Ryan's friend let us ride the horses.  She loved it.

We went to the aquarium in Salt lake.  The kids loved it.  Jack especially he was running around a hundred miles a minute signing everything he saw.  Jack and Dad below looking at the fish
Ryan's brother Richard got married while we were up there, unfortunately we were so busy chasing our kids around at the wedding that we didn't get very many good photo's.  this one of Jack is classic.  He just decided to lay down right in the middle of the dance floor and have a rest while everyone else was dancing around him.  Such a cute little man.  Anyway, The wedding was beautiful.  My new sister-in-law is so sweet.  We are excited to have her be a part of the family.  That is the last of the Fowler weddings.  Richard is the baby of the family.
Here's a video of the Kids at the aquarium.  Halle cracks me up.  She is so loud!  She sure is a feisty spunky thing.  Keeps us on our toes.

Mud Run!

Well, I am a little behind on my blog postings so this was actually  in June I think.  Anyway, Ryan and  his brother Dave and brother- in- law Dave and some other friends signed up for the mud run at camp Pendleton near San Diego.  It was a 10k with obstacle course and several mud pits. It was pretty dirty.   They had a great time.  I was pretty proud of him.  He even placed pretty well.  There were over 2,000 runners and he placed in the first few hundred.  Not to shabby. My sister in law took some photos after the run.  What a bunch of dirty guys.  I guess they are doing it again next year.  My sister an law and I are supposed to do it with them.  I guess I need to get my lazy self working out if I am going to make that and not die!  Yikes.

The fast and the furious

So this is one of the fowler monkeys favorite things to do as of right now.  It cracks me up.  Awhile ago the kids were riding their cars up and down the hall and Jack took a serious crash and banged up his head, so Ryan thought helmets would be a good idea just incase of future head on collisions.  The kids love wearing their helmets.  It cracks me up!  Hey whatever keeps them busy and happy and safe works for me.  Just ignore my loud mouth on the video.

Fun at the Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa!

Jackson had two weeks off of school for spring break and so we didn't have any speech therapy on Thursdays.  My mom was so excited because she actually wanted to do something with the kids instead of babysit the kids like usual while I take Jack to therapy.  We went to the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium.  It was awesome.  I loved it.  They had a great petting zoo, train, skylifts, a giraffe feeding area, stingray petting area and a lot of other really neat things.  The exhibits were excellent too.  You could actually see the animals really well.  The kids had a blast!  They were exhausted when we got home.  We got some great pictures and a really cute video of Caden petting the stingrays.  There is a lot of echoing on the video, but if you listen close you can hear Cadens cute little laugh.  He thought it was awesome.  The other two weren't quite sure about petting those weird looking things.

Wagon Rides!

I just had to post this video.  I have to say that Ryan is now the cool fun Dad and mom is chopped liver when he is around.  All the kids and say and sign Dad, but do you think they can say or sign mom?  No, of course not!!! What is up with that?  It must be because he is way more fun than mom.  Jack sure thinks so.  He is having the time of his life getting pulled around the yard at turbo speed in his wagon.  The poor guy is going to get whiplash.  Haha!  I just love the way he throws his head back with his mouth wide open.  Thats priceless.

18 month pictures

Well my friend Ashley did it again!  She took some amazing pictures of my kids.  Which is saying a whole heck of a lot because my kids won't sit still for a second.   We did the shoot at Ashley's mom's house and we had to pick grapefruit off her moms tree for them to play with to keep them happy.  Thats why in some of the pictures you see grapefruit.  She took all the pictures in about 15 minutes.  Amazing. Thanks again Ashley, you are awesome.  You can see more of her work on her photography blog  http://embraceyourcreativity.blogspot.com
Anyway, My aunt bought Halle that adorable skirt and my mom bought the headband and black shrug she wore with it.  If that doesn't say PRINCESS, I don't know what does.  Thanks aunt Jill for all the great things you buy for my kids.  I love it.

Testing out the crop!

The kids have been loving the nice weather and playing in the yard.  We also took advantage of the cool weather and went to the zoo with Stace and the kids.  The kids loved the zoo and especially loved the monkey exhibit.  Halle thought the monkeys were pretty funny.  I love Arizona.  No where else can you enjoy such great weather in January and February.

Halle is walking

Ok, so this is old news.  She started walking on christmas day, but I have been too busy to post.  So now she is a little pro.  But I wanted to post video of her learning because it is so cute.   Now she just waddles around everywhere and recently she just started swinging her arms too when she walks. It is so funny.   Jack is trying to walk now too.  I will post a video sometime soon.

Christmas

We had a great christmas this year.  This post is a little late, but we have been busy.  Better late than never.  Ryan's parents had flew to California to visit Rebecca and Dave for Christmas and and had a layover in Phoenix.  So we met them at the airport and had lunch with them.  We got to spent about 2 hours with them.  The kids liked walking around in the airport and Carol was thrilled to spend time with the babies.

My mom bought the kids Christmas outfits for church.  I tried getting some good pictures of them before we went and it was a disaster, so these few shots after church was the best I could get.

We spent Christmas at my parents house.  It was a great christmas.  The kids were of course spoiled.  my parents bought them some great new toys and clothes.  They got this huge dinosaur that talks and growls that you can ride.  Caden didn't know what to think at first, but they love it now.  They were enthrawled with My mom's Christmas tree.  They ended up breaking three ornaments.  Ooops!  Ryan and I had a good Christmas too.  My parents got us pedestals for our our washer and dryer.  The laundry room looks so much better. I took pictures of the kids in their new PJ's my mom bought them.
