This is a glimpse of what we've been up to the last few months...at least in the pictures that I took!
February had a few nice sunny days...perfect for finally getting to a park!
It was cold but the kids had fun playing in the sand and coloring with chalk!
One day the I could tell the girls were up to something and they kept saying to just go read in my room, this is not normal behavior...but I obliged and went and read for a bit. I then went upstairs and discovered this...they had made chore charts! The pictures included things like make bed, dust, put clothes away, clear off the stairs, wash mirror, clean toilet....they had been hard at work cleaning!!! I mean seriously is there any better present to a Mom?
We upgraded to a king size bed and boy do we love it!!!
Elsie made Cohen a fort in my closet
Park time...the kids love riding their scooters
we had Holland for the day!
the kids found a dead mouse and built a huge nest around it
Wood floor makeover!! I've been wanting this for quite a while and in February it finally happened. We ripped out the tile in the kitchen and extended the wood and then stained it dark brown...I love it!
Before
After...this was before the final coat which made it shiney!
Elsie turned 5!!! I'll do a whole post on this later! We love her!

We painted the stairwell and upstairs hallway blue...long story short we actually first painted it a horrible green and then repainted it blue...i've never had so much distrust with my decorating abilities!
The girls have been doing a litttle dance class at Viewmont and will be in the Spring Dance Concert next week...Adelyn had to talk Elsie into it but now they both have been loving it.
We went swimming and then got to watch cousin Amanda compete in her swim meet..I was so proud of my niece...I stink at swimming and could never swim that far or fast!
Little buddy all ready to take the girls carpool
Date night with Tom we went to a fun sushi restaraunt
then my Dad gave us tickets to go see a Jazz game
Running the halls after bath time!
St. Patrick's Day...green breakfast
Wacky hair day for Dr. Seuss Week
This just about melted my heart...I came into the dark room and saw Tom and Cohen all snuggled both listening to Tom's music! Tom's such a good Dad.
Zoo day with Daddy...Tom never gets to go to the zoo when we go so it was extra fun!
The giraffes are definitely a favorite
We finally got to go on the little train...Cohen was so excited he loves traines!
Went to the kids museum one day...I'm kind of done with that place...toys are all beat to heck, it's crowded and expensive
Adelyn making toast for her and Cohen
Adelyn was craving an Arby's roast beef sandwich...so we went on a little date!
Spring means yardwork...and there is plenty to do in the back yard...this year we decided to build a firepit! It's already been so much fun...come on over and we'll roast a mallow!
Conference weekend we headed up to Woodland to spend a few days at my moms...on the way there we stopped in park city to do a bit of shopping and then we ate a fun pizza joint
We had a beautiful saturday up in woodland...this was taken after the scavenger hunt...the kids got a whole bag of fun little suprises
Grandma took the kids to see a big chicken coup and to see where all these easter eggs come from.
I don't know where Elsie came from with her nonfear of horses...I didn't even go past the gate and she just stayed in there and kept petting them and didn't even freak when they came up behind and pushed her with their noses.
All of Tom's sisters and their families came into town for Camilles' wedding (more on that later)...while they were here I was so happy the the guys all did a few fun things like go to a jazz game and then played some bball down at the church...fun!
Stuff like this makes all the hard moments so worth it...Elsie climbed into bed with Adelyn and they were snuggling.
Easter Egg hunt with all the Garner cousins!
So fun to have them all here on this holiday!
Cute Holland
The adults then got to do a quick hunt for an egg that Doug put some money in!
Easter Morning
Cohen proudly sporting his new pj's of a Thomas t-shirt and silky shorts
Clay for Elsie and Fazoodles for Adelyn
This boy knows how to devour a chocolate egg!
Cousin Izzy and Aunt Jen were with us that morning too!
After breakfast we went to church with all the family...Cohen and Rhett were two little buddies this trip...so cute to see them run and give each other big hugs!
We are trying to potty train...unfortunately for Cohen it's been off and on as mommy has had to keep putting him back in diapers because I can't seem to allot an entire day of being home with no errands, or something...
"Working on the farm"...this week we've had a trailer of mulch to put into the flower beds (thanks to Grandma Joyce) and the kids thought it was so much fun...Adelyn kept saying...mom I wish we could live on a farm...they proceeded to make a chicken coup and a "cow" to milk...maybe one day kids!
This week it has been very rainy and then nice and sunny...this was after Adelyn's soccer practice and the girls climbed way up into the pine tree...oh how I remember doing that at the old "Indian Park" in centerville!
A couple days ago Adelyn's school had an "Author's Fair and a Mad Scientist"...it was so fun to have Adelyn read a few books she has written and poems...Elsie and Cohen were proud supporters...Missing Dada as he is in Peru:(
Adelyn with her teacher Mrs. Landon who is so cute...and Adelyn's book "The Funny Bunny"
The Mad Scientist...he did some fun things and the kids loved it...I was done after about ten minutes but the kids wanted to stay until the bitter end.
