This is what happens when you live in the sun....

So I went to the Dermatologist and I had a mole that had irregular cells. Today I got what they call a punch. They literally took a cookie cutter like tool and took a hole out of my skin. I have two layers of stitches and as you can see quite the bandages. The good thing is I am NOT allowed to shave my leg for 2 weeks.......... sorry Blake! LOL :) :)

So to all you tanners out there, stay away from the sun!! It is not your friend.

oh my it has been almost 2 months

Goodness how time fly's. I haven't blogged in two months. It isn't because I have been too busy to not take a couple seconds out of my day and write something down, it is because I genuinely have nothing to share at this time. Thanksgiving came and went. I have half my Christmas shopping done, so that is good. I am hoping for some snow!!! All in all life has just not been that eventful. So, I leave you with a photo of my wonderful dog who just celebrated his fifth birthday!!

The joys of Owning a Bulldog

I know I haven't blogged in awhile so I thought I should use this gorgeous Fall morning to write something down. Unfortunately life has not been very eventful and I don't have children to blog about, so I decided I would show our "child", Dubs the bulldog. There are many joys of owning a bulldog, I have listed a few below:
1. The farting and burping that sometimes gets confused with it actually being a human
2. The mass amounts of drooling
3. The talking (yes folks our bulldog talks)
4. The stubborness
5. The uncontrollable snoring.
I thought that this morning would be a great time to show you all what my dog sounds like during the night time. You may think I just taped Blake but I kid you not this is our dog.

(Make sure you turn up the volume on this one)

I have also posted his usual morning weekend routine. He will come by the side of the bed at about 7:00am and cry because he wants in. He will circle the bed and cry until one of us finally gives in. Once inside he feels the need to tear up the sheets and get himslef nice and comfy.

His other favorite thing to do is to bake himself in front of the fire. What dog does this???

Oregon Country Fair

Ok so the only thing good about living in Eugene, OR (besides the Oregon Ducks) is the country fair. It is the place to people watch. You see naked people, naked people painted, fairies, gnomes, painted pregnant bellies, hippies, dreads, and many many others. Unfortunately this year was not the best. My dad and my mom's friend Kathy joined me this time around. We were all geared up to take lots of fun photos, but it decided it needed to pour the whole time we were there. I posted a few pictures below just for a little taste. Next year I will be back with much more!!!

Girls Slumber Party

Remember those days when you would have your best girlfriends over for a slumber party? You would make your self sick on soda, candy, and pizza. You would watch scary movies and then stay up all night talking because you were to afraid to go to sleep. Well those days aren't over my friends!!! Just because you grow up, own a house, and married doesn't mean you can't have those all girl slumber parties. On Friday we all went up to Ashlee's parents cabins on the McKenzie River and had a slumber party. We did it big girl style with BBQing, drinking, playing Taboo, and watching scary movies!! It was so much fun!! Just because you are grown up doesn't mean you can't be a kid every once in awhile.

We are all done!!!!!!!

After 2 and a half months of a half of kitchen, Blake and I are finished. We replaced all the appliances with stainless steel appliances. We ripped up the half carpet half linoleum floor and replaced it with hard wood. We painted every wall and replaced the molding. And for the last and final touch we replaced the counters with granite and we got a new sink and faucet. woohoo we are finished. Now on to the next project! I wonder what that will be.

Here are some photos of the finished product!!!

Kitchen counters in but not done yet......

Ok so finally the kitchen counters went in today and they are BEAUTIFUL!!! So all we have left to do is wait for the finish to dry and then we can move the stove back in and put the faucet on. You have no idea how awesome it is to have a functioning kitchen again.

See the holes in the counter that is where the faucet will go. The sink is black granite sink that is undermounted.

This Memorial Day Blake and I spent it with our bestest pals, who happen to be our cousins, Keri, David, Austin and Dillin. We went to our beach house in Salishan and enjoyed a beautiful weekend at the coast. We couldn't have asked for better weather. I posted a few videos and pics of the kids on the beach.

Counters part 1

Kitchen Counters.....who knew they could be such a pain!!! So the first step in putting on the counters is you have to rip out the old ones. Whoever in their right mind thought laminate counters were ok should be taking out back!!! After 2 hours of trying to figure out how to get the sink out, we got the old counters up in no time. Even with Dubs help as you can see. So the next step is to have the men come out and put on the sub tops and put a brace for the sink, please check back for those photos and cross your fingers everything goes smoothly.
