Day 1

TODAY I am starting Day 1 of my cleanse. I decided to do this to help me feel fresh and good again!! haha, yes this sounds hilarious. I am also doing this cleanse to help me with a diet afterward. I have done it in the past and it has helped me a lot with self control of what I eat and not overeating. I am posting about it so that I will stick to it! :)
Wish me luck! Its the Lemon cleanse....doesn't exactly taste so good! haha
Love you all!

I'm performing tomorrow night again at UVU! I can't wait! I love performing!

Changes...

I am just trying to adjust to all these new changes in my life and I feel like it should be good for me, but its actually quite difficult at times.  I know that that's how life is or at least supposed to be. We're told that change can be a good thing, an opportunity to grow and strengthen us in new ways. However, sometimes when we're least expecting change, that's when it is the hardest. I'm just trying to have faith that the lord will give me the strength I need to continue going AND that because of this change, better things will come forth. I do have faith.
Today I posted some great quotes up on my walls to remind me to be positive and to remember that we don't have to do this alone. I know that our Heavenly Father does hear my prayers.

Hello!! I'm back!

I decided I needed to write in my journal more and as much as I really like to, I prefer typing, so maybe I'll just type this and put it in my journal, haha. Also I wanted to share some photos with my family and friends! :)

Last week was my Birthday! Yay! I loved it! I'm so grateful for everyone that celebrated it with me and for all the love that was given to me! On my Birthday, I went to a ballet class at RDT in SLC. It felt so good and was a blast! They even sang to me! It was fun! Afterwards, I went shopping with my mom, got a make-over and then went to dinner with my family at the Pizza  Factory. Then, we ate delicious Strawberry cheesecake from Costco! Yumm!!!!  And to top it off, my great friends came over and played games with me at my house! :)

Saturday I worked and then Kyle wanted to surprise me that night! We went to my dear friend's Crystal Lyman's wedding reception  (yay!!) and then Krystal K.'s reception. Then, I had to close my eyes while he drove me to our surprise date!! I didn't know what he was doing...haha, he told me to bring an apron, a swimsuit, a headlamp, flip flops, and sweats! I was thinking, "What the heck are we doing??!" haha. I actually thought we'd be making pottery and then going to the hot pots in Midway! haha. Well, after some driving around what felt like, everywhere and nowhere, we arrived, I was a bit carsick haha. He then led me to the door. I heard a few people whispering, but I didn't think anything of it. Then he said "ok, we're here; open your eyes!" and we were at Amberlee's house!! There were tons of friends there,  more than I could imagine, and decorations everywhere! I felt like I was about to cry! Never in my life has that happened to me! It was all Kyle's idea and then Amber, Amberlee, Dan, and others helped a lot too! They're such wonderful friends. Kala was there, Kari, Alex, Tatiana, Megan, Wendy, and all the rest of my amazing friends from the ward. I am so grateful for all their kindness! That was so fun! We ate lots of food and played games all night long!!! :) I loved it! I couldn't have asked for a better birthday weekend! Thank you everyone who did that for me! I am so loved! I love you all too! Here are some fun photos to illustrate the fun we had :)
We  played a game called Swedish twister, which explains the awkward photos, and then we played Poor Man's Cranium.
Thanks so much, Amanda for taking the photos!

I can't believe its over!

My show, Gaudi in Motion is over! I cannot believe how fast it came and went. I think it was a fantastic experience for me. It was definitely hard and very time consuming, but I learned a lot. There's a lot going into putting on a show besides just the choreography.
My dancers did SO well! I was very pleased with their performance. I am so appreciative of the time they spent to do this for me also! They are the best! I have such great friends! Thank you everyone that attended. Ammon Love filmed the show for me so I hope to have a video soon-(Suzanne, then you can watch it at Christmas time). Also, my friend Ellie took some photos for us at the rehearsal! This photo is of Samantha, she performed a flamenco piece that I choreographed for her. I think she secretly is Spanish because she was so good! I love her! Thanks for all the love and support!
A new project I started this week is choreographing for Payson High School! Its been fun and it is also pushing my creativity! I've had a block since i just finished my show, but this is good for me.
What are some fun things that people do for Thanksgiving with their families? I want some cool ideas!
Random-I may buy a Kindle-touch! Its cheaper now on Amazon.com and they can have the scriptures on them too! Secretly I just want my parents to give it to me for christmas, haha but i don't really want to ask.
Well, gotta go to the gym! Love you all!

Gratitude

With Thanksgiving coming up, I have noticed that a lot of people have been posting online about the things that they are grateful for. This was inspiring to me, helping me take notice of even the smallest things I have that I am grateful for, like my toothbrush so that I can have a great smile and feel good about myself, or my car that gets me all around town faster than I ever could if I had traveled by foot; and of course, I have an endless amount of gratitude for my family. However, the one thing that I feel most grateful for at this time is the Book of Mormon.  I feel most passionate about it now than I ever have. It is amazing to me how reading a story about the past can teach us so much. Most recently the scripture from Enos 1:4-8 has been so inspiring to me. It mentions how Enos hungered for a testimony. I feel like every time I pray, I want to feel as though i'm hungering for a stronger testimony by having a humble heart and open mind so that I can be taught by the Spirit.
I am also so grateful for the Book of Mormon because it brings me hope and faith, knowing that our Savior does know each of us individually and that He loves us. I love the scripture  Mosiah 4:9, "Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend."
We are so blessed to have the Book of Mormon and a living prophet, Thomas S. Monson who reveals to us more living scripture. I have a strong testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. If you are ever doubting its truth, pray and ask and you will receive comfort knowing it is true. Reading the scriptures, especially in time of trial or decision making, has helped me gain peace, reminding me to go about my days with an eternal perspective in life. I am so grateful for this gospel and for the comfort it brings to me. I am especially grateful for the love and friendships I have gained from other members of the church.
