Christmas Lights & Train Ride

Tonight we went to Central Park to see Santa Clause and take a train ride around the park to look at all the Christmas lights. Dylan had so much fun! We also did some ice skating, which he was so exited about! I could go on and on about the night, but I will just show you some photos. It is so nice to be home and hanging out with our family. I forgot how much I missed them.

I love this picture of Dylan and my dad. This is from the train rides.
with my parents on the train...they had as much fun as he did

Christmas with the McKenzies

Sunday night we did our Christmas with Jonathan, Christina, Ezra and Annika, exchanging gifts and eating treats. The kids all loved what they got, but this was the favorite by far! The perfect gift for 2 yr old's! Thanks guys!

Oh (poor) Christmas Tree!

We finally got around to putting our beautiful tree up, and it stayed beautiful for a few HOURS! Dylan loved plucking the bulbs off and informing us that he was "picking apples". Which he then took those "apples" to his room and decorated the tiny tree my grandparents had gave us and we used until this Christmas. But it was beautiful for a small time and he loves playing with the tree so much that it seems a waste for it to just sit there and look pretty and him not be able to touch it, so we let him play.

Here are some pics of the tree as well as some of us that evening making Christmas Cookies and getting things ready.. Enjoy! We love and miss you all.

My happy babies

I think Josh picked a great dog, we couldn't love her more and she couldn't love him more. This was the first night I had decided to be strict with Dylan and get him back on a good bedtime routine. I had him settled, finally (the 1st night is always the hardest) when I heard Snoopy jingling down the hallway because she had heard some noise from upstairs and wanted to check it out. I was not happy thinking he was almost asleep and she would get him all excited and make it harder, but she hopped up in bed and Dylan sat up hugged her told her he loved her and then the both laid and down and slept that way till I went to bed and moved her to her bed. It sounds crazy and it was but also amazing, we couldn't have found a better dog.

Meet Snoopy!

Today we would like to announce a new member to the Iddings Family. Her name is Snoopy, (chosen by Dylan, who is a big Charlie Brown fan.) She is a rescued Pointer Dog from our local shelter, Josh found her and we just couldn't resist. Dylan is enamored with her. He has played with her nonstop and picked out some great toys for her, as well as pretended to be a dog since we brought her home, but so far so good....I am sure there will be more to post later! But for now PICTURES!

P.S - She is only 5 months old, so any training tips or tricks we would love them!
