I decided to post

I remembered I had a blog. These are some things I've done recently that I like.

These are just some veiws of a larger story I've had in my head for a while and maybe I'll do someday as a grafic novel. Its nice to have something to work on in your head when you're sick of the stuff you're currently stuck with. Athulia is a world I like to escape to.

Time for a post eh?

It's been a while so here's a bunch. My trip to hawaii has to be the highlight of my summer, best vacation by far. While i was there i had one of the most surreal experiences of my life. My family and i went night diving with manta rays. We would just sit on the surface with our lights and watch the mantas feed below us. It was just amazing to be arround these creatures who were each about 13 to 17 feet long. Manta Rays are one of my most favorite animals so i was pretty excited. The pictures are water colors i did while i was there including a new beat board for my up coming film which i am almost finished thumb-nailing and writing. School is under way and it's going to be a doozey.

Muir Woods

Had a day at Muir Woods National Monument where the giant Redwoods grow. It's kinda a magical place when there aren't throngs of tourists.

This may be my favorite Pixar film to date. That's just personal opinion there because while I think that "Wall-E" isn't Pixar's best film it is certainly it's most original since "Finding Nemo." This film just had the right combination for me; solid story, cute romance, sci-fi, and awesome robots. Let it be known across the land, I am a geek and a sucker for romantic tales. At the moment I am thinking about when I can see it for a 4th time :)

Let the Postings begin!

I felt it was about time that i started posting regularly so I'll start things off with something cool. This is the final shot for my film "Based on a true story." The quality will look blurry to you but that is because it was rendered for video settings only. It will be completely in focus when the film is shown. Currently i have about 2 minutes and 6 seconds of animation complete and i hope to be finished within the next three weeks. The reason i chose to composite one of the shots early was simply to give me an idea of what the clean up and coloring process would be like. Right now I am entering some of the more difficult animation parts of the film that I've been avoiding. wish me luck!
