So sad, but have to move to a new blog

I ran out of picture space on this blog, which is not surprising over the last few months, but I am really sad to have to leave this one behind. I have had it since 2005 and will always keep it as a digital scrapbook and enjoy looking back on past trips and pictures. Our new blog address is:

Now I have to decide to either commit tons of time to downsize my pictures, or move to a new blog every few years...I know its a hassle, but I think I will choose the latter.

Cozumel

Cozumel was a rainy day. We ventured on shore planning to just walk around some of the shops, but when it started to pour and rain, we just went into Starbucks, used the internet and then walked back to the boat.

 The Norweigan Dawn was next to us. It was fun watching them slowly pull in and dock right across from us.

Above: Off in the distance we could see a HUGE behemouth ship. We were thinking that it was the newest and biggest cruise ship in the fleet, the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas.

Grand Cayman

Getting a stingray back rub!

 We booked Jared and Tyler (and Grandma and Chrissy too) on a Stingray City excursion on jet skis through a 3rd party company called Ebanks watersports. Instead of being jam packed on a boat, they were able to race and zip to the snorkel locations on their own jet ski (we made sure that no one shared...the water was way too rough for double riding..plus more fun that way to drive themselves)! Tyler and Jared had a blast, and most of them couldn't keep up with grandma!! :)   The 2 others on the tour cancelled, so they had their own private tour.

 Chase really wanted to get his picture taken with these display cases of the Magic and Wonder ships

We boarded before everyone else since we were on the cruise before. Once back onboard, the kids played chess in the Quiet Cove cafe while waiting for everyone else. Usually this area is for adults only.

Mom upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite for herself and Chrissy! I was able to go in early and get some pictures of it before they boarded. We had alot of fun in their room, and mom and Chrissy loved the extra space!

 Master bedroom and the picture below is the entrance into the master bathroom. Chrissy's room (second bedroom) also had its own bathroom too.

 Waiting at the adult pool area for embarkation to begin. We couldn't wait to be with Dad, Hayley, Tyler, grandma and Chrissy!

 Above: A view of one of the other cruise ships from our balcony--The Norweigan Dawn. We had connecting balconies this cruise and it was so nice to have the extra space and split bathrooms again. We were in #7016 and 7018. Grandma and Chrissy would have been next door in 7020, but they got something much better and were right abovie us in #8018 instead.

Most of the houses on Key West were made of wood. Many had been restored and had special plaques by their doors if they had been.

We were finally right by a screen at Animator's Palate.

Castaway Cay and the new private cabanas they have to rent for a group of 6 or less. I took some pictures peeking over the fence at the cabanas and their own beach. It's right on the other side of Pelican Plunge.

I love how the water sparkles in these pictures. We had a beautiful day, nice and warm....but needed Tyler to find the hermit crabs. Courtney and Chase looked and looked, but we just couldn't find them. The tide was up really high that day too. We just had to wait until the others got there the following week.



They looked and looked, but had no luck. :(

 Happy Holidays from Castaway Cay!

 Above: We were super lucky to be sailing by the Wonder on our way out of Castaway Cay! They did a greeting of horns as they sailed by each other that was really neat to see/hear.

My Melroy, my buddy. I have had him as a server for over 32 nights---not in a row though: 25 on our Transatlantic and Med cruises and 7 on this Thanksgiving cruise....I wonder if he has gotten sick of me yet? :)
