May 2014

We spent a fun Saturday afternoon bowling with the fam!  Max has been a couple times with Aunt Jessica but it was a first for Sean and Dylan.

We attended a fun birthday party.

Ok, these next two weren't from May, they were from our December trip to Utah but my sister emailed them to me in May.  My kids adore their cousins and sledding!

In May we flipped Dylan's carseat to forward facing, we made it to 17 months, they others were changed at 13.

Hanging with these two while Max was at preschool.

BOBCAT!  on the sidewalk outside my door.  We were seeing them at least weekly for awhile but it's been a few months now.  They say not to run from them because it triggers their instinct to chase.  I teach the kids to yell "Shoo!  go away bobcat!!"

Lucky Sean got to go to Disneyland with Aunt Jessica!  How cute are they?  She has a pass and Sean was still two years old in May and could go for free.

Fun toys from a neighbor birthday party and matching shirts from Aunt Jessica's store.  (She is a pattern maker for Billabong here in Irvine).

Since Dylan started walking in April the boys can now all walk and hold hands, almost too much cutenss for a mom to handle!

Max made me this sign, box, and key chain for mother's day at preschool.

Mother's Day

Mother's Day evening

I'm thankful every day that Jared has a great mom!

My Mother's Day bouquet!

We've been going to our (amazing) pediatrician for five years and only recently discovered there was a 7-eleven around the corner!  This was a HOT day!

baby, kitty, sunlight

We had some super hot days in May that were around 100 degrees!  We cooled off at our Grandma's pool.

Funny video of the wind blowing in the car with the windows down!

Introducing our first pet, "Cougar" the goldfish!  Max won him at a church carnival.  Don't worry, we quickly got a bigger tank.

Celebrating Aunt Jessica's birthday

Memorial Day!  We obviously don't have ice cream cones enough because my kids didn't believe me that they could eat the cone!

Ikea shenanigans

Sean with his buddies Jilly and Evelyn

Our cute neighborhood.  We never have snow for sledding but slide down the hill in this kiddie pool.

At the Children's Garden in the Newport Beach Library.  This pic was funny because Max took it and Dylan suddenly said "cheese" and made this funny face for the first time ever!

A rare night out at Fashion Island with dear friends.

More moments of April 2014

painting/coloring easter eggs with friends, this was a huge hit!

Max was invited to a birthday party at "Sky High" a trampoline place.  It was a friend from preschool and the whole class was invited.  It was fun to get to know some of the kids and families better.  These are just a few kids that were there for the picture.

Conference Sunday we played at the park by Grandma and Grandpa White's house.

Also, right after Easter Dylan started walking!  He was my latest walker at 16 months.  He took his sweet time which was just fine with us!

The ward had a fun Easter egg hunt!

Sean LOVES Monsters University (the movie) and LOVES his Monsters U toys.  He acts out scenes in the movie all the time and we all have to pretend to be Monsters U characters.  We especially love the library scene (I am the octopus librarian) and the get away car scene which we act out every time we drive in our van (I am the monster mom driving the get away car).  It's the cutest movie, highly recommend!

Max loves board games and his Grandma White has a TON!  This is Jenga Max, which he likes because it has his name on it.

Max had "spring break" from preschool, that just meant two days off but we tried to make the whole week a little more fun.  We had a picnic outside and read nursery rhymes while we ate . . .

. . .visited the Newport Beach Library (photo courtesy of Max) . . .

. . .went to the pool with friends. . .(Dylan is walking with our dear friend Shaunie) . . .

. . . and our last event of Spring Break was trying to feed the ducks rice cakes at Turtle Rock Park but I'm pretty sure the ducks didn't touch them and Sean ate a few bites himself.

In April my beautiful Bougainvillea plant was in full bloom.  I watch it out my kitchen window, it makes me happy!

We celebrated Jared's birthday on April 28th!  I love you so much honey :)  He requested a Tres Leches cake which I made from scratch for the first time.  I used the Pioneer Woman recipe.  It was yummy!  But even better the next day (you've got to let those sit awhile).

We loved Tucanos in Provo and Jared found a similar place in Irvine that we tried out for his birthday.  It was just as good. . BUT no grilled pineapple, bummer!

Aunt Jess babysat for us during our date and took these before we left.  Picasa makes these collages for me automatically, this one was kind of funny, you can catch Max's photo bomb! haha.

Max wanted his own photo of him being a ninja.
