Rylec's 3rd B-day Party (Nov. 24, 2010)

I'm not going for an art competition, but I am going for winning over my son's happiness and knowing he's loved...
I frosted his cupcakes with 3 of his favorite things for his Third birthday

Tractor's, Robots, and Cars

After I finished frosting them, he say's to me, "Mommy, you make the best cupcakes in the whole world", I couldn't feel any greater praise, on my boy's day, my boy's happiness matter's most! :D

We kept it cas', played games, laughed, let Rylec know how special he is to us and how much we love him, it was a great party. So grateful for the family and friends who joined us and sharing their love and gifts!

Picutre above - "Playing Knock, Knock your socks off" (really silly and funny :P)

The "HaHa Game"
(Didn't quite work with various aged kids, but made for a cute picture and still loved watching them giggle)

Ry loved and still loves all his new toys, pretty sure he had a blast! And I love the video of him when he blew out his candles, but I'm just typing that in here to remind myself to rewatch it when I reminisce

Halloween This Year...

Was a little simple. First off we didn't celebrate it today, we just did all our celebrating yesterday due to the fact that today was Sunday. We fully enjoyed our ward party at the church Saturday night, two Mondays before Halloween we went to the pumpkin patch for FHE and one Monday before we carved them (we had so much fun we forgot to take pictures of carving them).

Corina has given me some fun challenges in the past couple years with costumes and this year she simply just wanted to be a black cat. Even as common as it may be I still loved it too.
Rylec wanted to be a black spider and that was pretty simple, cheap and fun. He was totally into his costume this year. I really didn't know what to expect, but was loving it how much both my kids were loving Halloween and the "fun-ness" of it all.

Rylec's Scary Black Spider FaceAnd after doing the math, I'm so happy that Halloween wont fall on a Sunday again til 2022. Can't wait til next year to do the real deal trick-or-treating :D
