Ahoy Matey!!

My boys are obsessed with pirates lately. We found some pirate gear at the dollar store and they will not put it down. Josh even slept with his pirate sword for a couple of nights. It is too funny!

Vegas Baby!!

Happy 30th Birthday Mandy!! For Mandy's birthday, the girls took a trip to Vegas! Thanks to our husbands and family who kept our kids so that we could all have a much needed vacation! We left on October 19 and headed to Megan's house to stay the night. We left from there the next morning for the long drive to Vegas. We got there that night and checked out the fun in the hotel and then had a blast from the past with plastic bubbles. We spent the 21st roaming the strip. We started off at the Mandalay Bay Aquarium and worked our way down the strip with lots of good food and shopping. We, I mean Megan, even ran right into Haley-Joel Osment, kinda funny. That night, Mandy, Megan, and Jaime enjoyed "Thunder from Down Under" while Mom and I enjoyed "Bodies: The Exhibit". Totally amazing! We got some much needed rest and started again on Friday. We ate brunch and the Rainforest Cafe, did a little more shopping and then hit the road to go home! It was a short and sweet vacation, but loaded with lots of fun!

Woody And Buzz...Friends to Eternity and Beyond!!

Happy Halloween!!
"Reach for the Sky!"
Buzz, just chillin'
Woody!
My boys had so much fun at the Trunk-or-Treat! We even had a break in the rain long enough for us to have fun without getting wet! Trevin is facinated with Buzz Lightyear! They were so much fun!

Sturgeon Fishing!!

These are the 2 sturgeon that I have caught. The one above was a couple of weeks ago and it was 18 inches long. Very small for a sturgeon, but hey, at least I caught one right?! Not really much of a fight though!

And here is reeling in today's sturgeon! I would reel him in a little ways and he would run back out. This went on for about 40 minutes before...

I finally got him to the shore! And boy, was I exhausted! It was freezing outside, but I had to take my coat off because I was working so hard and was hot!!

More reeling...notice how much the pole is bent...it is a pretty long pole, not your average fishing pole! And yes, I did reel him in myself!

And here he is. . . all 9 feet of him! He was huge. I think that my little boys thought I was crazy for climbing in the water with him, but that is half of the fun! I had to get a picture with my fish!! Wow! What more can I say? It was an awesome adventure, one that I will never forget!! Thanks Kyle for taking me fishing! Love You!

My First Antelope Hunt!

We had a wonderful time hunting Antelope this year! It was my first antelope hunt and we had a blast! Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!

The Cuteness of my Boys!

I just thought that you might enjoy some of the random cute pictures of my growing boys!

This was at Hogle Zoo! He has a strong grip. He wouldn't let go.

This was also at Hogle Zoo. Do you think that Josh is ready to go home yet?
Josh decided that it would be fun to put his back against the water ball at Hogle Zoo! Well, if Josh can then Trevin has to try also! So cute!

Trevin is "hiding" in my laundry basket!

My little Pirate!
Working really hard on Papa's big mountain in the yard!
When Trevin went down the slide facing to the front, he would hit the bottom with his feet and face plant forward, so he started going down feet first on his tummy! I guess this hurts less!
Maybe Trevin was thirsty? He was sucking the water off the driveway from the melting ice. So adorable! Kyle kept telling him to stop, but I let him do it until I could get a picture. My little brother, Brian would do this when he was little. It was funny!

Josh loves to play with the money in the piggy bank. I don't know why, but he loves it! He likes to "build" with it. He really likes pirates lately, so we "built" a pirate boat out of "moneys".

Spokane, WA trip

The boys and I took a quick trip to Spokane, Washington with my parents and Megan a couple of weeks ago. We went up to go to the funeral for my Uncle Mark Shelby. We wish that we could have been visiting with family for other reasons, but we did enjoy seeing members of our family we haven't seen in a few years. We were there for a few days, so we needed to find some entertainenment for our busy boys. We went to Riverfront Park and found lots of fun things.

Talan refused to get on the Carousel at first, but once Megan climbed on with him and the ride started to go, he loved it and refused to get down after it was over.

My boys loved it as well. Neither one of them wanted the ride to end either.

Papa was the only one the boys wanted as they came down the big slide. Papa loved every minute of it!

Trevin had to chase the Seagulls! I was afraid he was going to chase them right into the water, but we got him stopped before it went that far! They loved the freedom at the park!

Trevin would sit at the top and wait for someone to nudge him off before he would go down the slide. The first time, he put his feet down and twisted sideways. Then he learned to just hold on to the side. It was pretty funny to watch him.

Here is the big Radio Flyer Wagon where they were sliding! It was a lot of fun!!

We went on a gondola ride! It was more like a sky ride, but it was lots of fun! The boys loved watching the river below us and watching the waterfall!

Hogle Zoo for my birthday!

As soon as Josh saw the Carosel, he couldn't enjoy the rest of the zoo until he "rode the animals". We finally gave in so that the rest of us could enjoy the zoo as well. We bought our tickets and Josh picked the eagle to ride. When we got up there to get onto the eagle, he freaked out and would not get on. I had to literally force him on and hold onto him for a minute. I bought the ticket and he WAS going to ride it. As soon as he was on, he was fine and really liked the ride. It was so funny!

Trevin had no problems getting on. This boy has no fear whatsoever. He loved it and we couldn't get either one of them off of it.

I think it is a rule that you have to take a picture of your child getting a drink from the lion's mouth at the zoo. So, here is Trevin and of course, he had to do it all by himself. He is Mr. Independant now!
Here is Josh enjoying his refreshment from the Lion's mouth!

Josh loved the map of the zoo. He carried it around for quite a while. It was cute. We had our own little tour guide as he made sure we didn't get lost.
The gorilla was awesome! He followed the kids around the glass and kept looking at them while they looked at him. It was pretty funn!
Here are my adorable boys!! I don't think that they get cuter than this!!

Trevin, Lucy, and Aaralyn were watching the monkeys outside. Josh was there too, but he walked off just as I took the picture, go figure.

We didn't take a stroller because they wouldn't ride in it the last time we were at the zoo, but of course, this time they didn't want to walk! We eventually did get them a stroller to ride in, but here is Trevin looking just as cute as always!

We went in the Madagascar building and it stunk! Josh kept plugging his nose! It was so funny!
This was how I spent my birthday this year (sept. 2)! It was so fun to spend the day with family! We spend the day with Kyle's side of our family! Kelly and Sharla came with their two girls, Lucy and Aaralyn. And so did Jeff and Pam! We had a wonderful day! (We even got us all in for a whopping $5 all together! I love a good deal!)
