And.... We're Back

So its been a while since I've posted anything on here.... which is sad because it's been an eventful 4 months! I've met the love of my life, moved, and started a new job. I'm sure I'm missing something else too, but those are the big ones! So.. here is a little blast from the past 4 months.

I moved into a cute little yellow house in Bountiful with another roommate. This was the first night I had dinner at my new place. Dan (aka my love) and I had a picnic on our kitchen floor on top of the dryer cardboard boxes. It was rather romantic!

Dan made me a tasty steak dinner all by himself. When I arrived, he had everything set and ready. Isn't he so sweet and handsome?!

Renee (my cousin) had her first baby, Katelyn. It's weird to think we're old enough to have our own now. And that's cute Grandma Poll with us.

Rachel and Cade got to come down from Washington for Easter. It was so fun! We went to Wheeler Farm and Cade got to see all the delightfully smelling animals. We had a blast!

The tractor was almost his size...

This calf hadn't even been born for 24 hours in this pic. Old McDonald let us in the barn to see him. Cade was so cute with it.

Awesome family...

Feeding the ducks

Rach and I went shopping, and she forgot the stroller. So she paid $6 bucks for Cade to be a policeman for a day. He lasted about 5 minutes in it...

The love of my life.... Dan Hymas.

Easter with my mom's side of the family is almost worse than Halloween, as far as the sugar content. It's a great tradition having a huge Easter egg hunt!

Cade's first big hunt

After "the hunt." That's Dan and I in the back wearing black.

I couldn't resist putting these glasses on Cade. He absolutely loved it!

I made this frame for Dan for Easter. I was kind of proud of myself.

Dan's Easter basket... I had so much fun putting it together! This picture doesn't do it justice.

Trip to Washington

My cute little nephew, Cade, turned 1 on January 25th so me and my parents flew to Washington state to celebrate the big day! It was so great to get away for a week and do nothing but spend time with family. I'm missing them already.

Cade can't walk yet, but he knows right where the graham crackers are and how to access them. It is the funniest thing!

I flew in a few days before my parents. We picked them up from the airport and had lunch at Frank's Diner in Spokane. It was a fun place!

The inside of the train car (Frank's Diner)

The Diner is an old train car that once was real!

The biggest Radio Flyer wagon I've ever seen! The handle is a slide! Located in the River Parkway in Spokane.

Riding comfy in the stroller!

Best of sisters

This was crazy... I ran into Kevin Randall, a former Weber State News alumni who is working as a reporter for the NBC affiliate in Spokane. I couldn't believe it! I want his job...

An indoor carousel at the River Parkway. This was Cade's first ride.. he loved it!

Getting breakfast ready for the big birthday!

Is he not the cutest thing you've ever seen?!

Opening/biting his present from Aunt Lindsay- a new tie and DVD for babies

I'm not sure if it was his birthday, or Christmas morning for a family of 6! Spoiled.

My sis did a great job making his cake! Brett (his dad) is a pilot, so it was very appropriate!

"What am I supposed to do guys?"

Since he was born, Cade always puts this finger out. How cute that he did it at this moment, on his 1st birthday!

Standing ovation for Cade eating his cake! He clapped all night. Love you Cade....

Jaque's Wedding

On Nov.5, 2009 my younger brother Jaque married Danni in the Bountiful Temple. The weather was incredible for November... in fact, it was the warmest day of the month. A warm 70 degrees, which is SO warm for November! Now that he's married, I'm the last one standing!

Jaque and Danni- beautiful bride and groom

I got Cade all to myself while the rest of the fam was in the marriage ceremony!

My sissies- love you!

In love....

I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday...

Me and Gramps

The wedding luncheon- with my sisters and their spouses, and grandma Poll.

Cade made a 180-degree turn in his chair.. when I looked over and saw this, I started laughing so hard!

Emily and Kara- some of the best friends anyone could have

I can't explain my love for this little guy

Internship At KUTV Channel 2

This summer I did an internship at KUTV Channel 2 in Salt Lake. It was an awesome experience! I got to go out in the field on story assignments, then go back to the newsroom to put the story together... all to air for the 5:00 news. I never went on camera, but I had several stories air. I regret that I didn't take more pictures of my experience. I was blessed to get a part-time job following my internship. I'm hoping it's a foot in the door to one day be a reporter. One day.

This is one of my most favorite girls, Callie. She was a fellow intern from BYU, and we got to go together on this story assignment- The Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication.

My favorite reporter, Dan Rascon. He's the one in front of the camera... staged with the rest of the media before the dedication.

The beautiful Oquirrh Mountain Temple. The day couldn't have been more perfect.

I was feet away from Pres. Monson and Pres Uchtdorf, who dedicated the temple. It was a neat experience being in their presence, at such a significant event. I was only able to be this close, because I was "with the media."

Little Sis Gets Hitched!

On July 31, 2009 my youngest sis, Cambria, tied the knot. She married Kevin Polson in the Salt Lake Temple. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Polson!

Just after she came out of the temple

All smiles for the bride and groom.. well, Kevin was resting his smile in this pic

My nephew Cade was dressed like a stud for the occasion. You would think blue was one of her wedding colors.. but it wasn't!

The reception was in our yard... and it couldn't have been a more perfect night. Her cake was pretty dang cute.
