Lately at the Jones'

My oh my, its been a while since my last post. We had a wonderful summer and have been having a great fall so far. We just love little Lou and can't get enough of him. He is such a good little baby. SO GOOD! He has slept through the night for a LONG time now....he must love sleep like his mom! He is 3 1/2 months old now! According to our scale at home, he weighs 15 lbs! He is getting so big and smiling ALL the time. His little laugh is so freakin' cute. He also started rolling over last week when my mom was watching him! He rolls over every time we put him on his belly now! I absolutely HATE clipping his little fingernails... he is so wiggly! I am definitely turning into a protective Mommy...I just love him so much! After Dan passed away I always wondered if I would be able to love a child as much as I loved him. It was instant! I love being a Mom. I also went back to work 2 weeks ago. I only work 2 days a week so it is perfect. My mom watches Lou while Im at work and she loves every minute of it. Here are a few pics from the last little while...

Lake Powell this year was definitely different with a little baby. He did great of course, but I was so paranoid he was going to get too hot or something! He wasn't a big fan of the water..hopefully next year he will like it! I totally over packed for him. He never wore any clothes! Even with the air conditioning in the house boat he was just in his diaper the whole time. Lol! He got lots and lots of attention from his aunties and g-ma and g-pa. He was always being held by someone. In fact, he was kind of a stinker when we got home because he was so needy and wanted to be held!

I was able to go to the Brigham City Temple Open House with my young women. Such a beautiful temple inside. I am the mia maid advisor in my ward right now and I love it!

Early in the Sept we were able to participate in the Intermountain Healing Hearts Heart Walk. It was good to see some of my heart mom friends. We were able to release a butterfly for Miracle Dan again, too. It was very sweet :)

Lots of Fun!

Wow! What a great weekend. We have had so much fun lately! It started off on Friday- we went to Seven Peaks waterpark for G-ma Jill's b-day. We had lots of babysitters (G-ma Karen, Great G-ma Jill) so Tyler and I were able to enjoy ourselves and go on some slides and relax in the lazy river! Lou was a good boy all day, we even put him in the kiddie pool for a few minutes! He didn't hate it, but he didn't really love it either! I mostly put him in to snap a few pictures. :) He was so cute!
In his cute swim outfit that Auntie Daylan gave him!

Saturday morning Tyler ran the Roy Days 5k! He did great. He took 1st in his age group and 14th overall!  This is the 2nd year in a row we've done the 5k w/our friends. (I didn't run this year, but next year I will!!) It's a fun little tradition that I hope will keep going.

So with it being Roy Days, they have fireworks at night! We have planned our "Jones' Luau" the day of the fireworks for the last 3 years now. This year was our 3rd annual Luau Party. Lots of fun! We had everyone bring a dessert or a side. I made a pasta salad, some yummy cake mix dip, and Tyler and I also made all the ka-bobs. Lots of yummy food!! We just hung out with family and friends for a bit, and then a bunch of people walked over to the fireworks at the park. I stayed home w/Chels Nash Daylan and Lou but we could see (and hear) the fireworks from my kitchen window. It was a great night! I love my family and friends!

More and more each day. Thanks to our family and friends for sharing this special day with us!!

Uncle Nash also helped in Lou's blessing but he had to run and teach a lesson at church.

Elder Stoddard! He leaves for the MTC on weds Aug. 8 so we were able to snap lots of pics of him with everybody! It will be fun to see how big Lou is when Chase comes home!
