More Sophie
We are so grateful for all of the help we got this weekend painting and moving our things into our new house. We never would have been able to move in before the baby came if it wasn't for our wonderful family and friends! We got all moved in Monday night, and even got our kitchen unpacked before the baby came. It couldn't have worked out more perfectly!
The labor and delivery went really fast. We started measuring contractions at home at 11:15 and she was out by 1:01 am. We were well taken care of at the hospital. The same nurse that helped us deliver Eliza was the one we had for Sophie! Her name was Darlene and she is really on the ball and profesional. She knew from experience when she saw us that we had very little time (less than 45 minutes at that point) until the baby was out! There was no time for pain medication or the Group B strep shot that I was supposed to get. But, since the actual pushing was less than a few minutes, the pain as well as the risk of her getting Strep B were really reduced.
My mom, Shana and Russel had left Monday afternoon for Spokane and stopped in Idaho Falls for the night. We called them at midnight and told them we were in the hospital and instead of spending the night in the hotel they hopped in the car and drove the rest of the way! We were totally shocked and thrilled when they walked in at 10:30 that morning!
