Pregnancy Thoughts

Now that I am nearing the end of this pregnancy there are a few things I wanted to remember about this experience.  The first being that I have loved having Tim around to share it with this time.  Getting to hug and kiss him with this belly in the way.  Feeling him touch my belly in the middle of the night.  Chuckling as he gets a back massage from the baby as I cuddle him.  Showing him the weird things my belly does as a result of the baby.

Just as much as I have loved Tim being here, I have loved Evalyn’s reaction with my pregnancy.  She constantly talks to the baby.  Saying “Hi Baby!”, or sorry when she bumps the baby and loves to give the baby hugs and kisses.  She gets excited when she is sitting by me and feels the baby push at her.  Evalyn has also been so thoughtful of my condition.  When something falls to the ground she will say, “I’ll get it cause it’s hard for you to bend over.”  Or snuggle with me when I am worn out.  I felt a bit alone during my last pregnancy so having both Tim and Evalyn here this time has been really special for me.

Now about this baby!  Goodness, he/she is a mover! I remember Evalyn being active but I don’t recall her moving this much and with so much strength!  I am often having to keep my hands on my belly because the baby will push out so far.  Yesterday, I’m pretty sure the baby was dragging his/her knee into me as he/she rolled around.  Yeah that one hurt!  While I don’t get heartburn near as much as I did with Evalyn, this one likes to push on my bladder resulting in frequent bathroom visits.

With this pregnancy I have tried to keep up my exercising.  I am still doing my work out videos although I have had to modify what I do.  And I’m sure if you peeked in my window and saw me you would burst into laughter!  It’s funny doing push ups and having my belly stop me from going down further.  Evalyn once asked while I was exercising why I wasn’t jumping like the people on the video.  I told her I had to be careful because I didn’t want to hurt the baby. Her response was, “Oh cause then the baby might start crying.”  That made me chuckle!

I am now about 5 weeks away from my due date (June 1st) and can’t believe we are already so close.  I felt like my pregnancy with Evalyn would never end but this one really has gone quick.  I look forward to holding this little sweetheart and see my family adjust to having a new addition to our family.  I’m really nervous for the first few months!  Having a newborn again makes me anxious and this time I will have a 3 1/2 year old to go with it.  But I am really excited to see how Evalyn reacts to the baby and the relationship that will grow between them!  I sure am very blessed with a wonderful family and I’m so glad I get to be with them forever!

Be sure to vote if you think we are having a boy or girl!

A Little Bit Of Everything

This winter was manageable. Our family didn’t have a whole month of non-stop sickness which was so nice.  I just would have liked a little more snow to play in.  But I’m so glad spring came quick!

Here are some snap shots of what we did this winter.

My little brother got engaged!! He and Brittny are getting married June 21st and I sure am excited for them.  They were kind enough to move the wedding to the middle of June instead of the beginning so I would be able to be there!

Evalyn has been involved in a tumbling class since November and has loved it! It has been fun having her show off what she learns there at home.

In March, Tim was in charge of this big Leadership Conference at USU.  This is what his job is and what he has been working on since he started there in the fall.  I wanted to see a little of it so I packed up lunch and took the girls on the bus for a little trip on campus. It was neat seeing what Tim had been working on and the girls where troopers on our trip.  They loved riding the bus!

On April 3rd, my sweet niece, Madison, was born!!  Goodness she is precious!! It is kind of weird not having Shalese be pregnant with me anymore, but soon we will get to carry our babies around in our arms together instead of our bellies.

It’s a little bit of a jumbled post but at least it’s up now!  We have had a good couple months! Busy, but good!  We have been tremendously blessed and only one more week until Tim is done with the semester!

We Are Alive!

So I am way behind on this thing! The semester started and things got really busy fast! Plus this happened….

Baby McFall #2 is growing and due to arrive June 1st!  We are so excited!  But because of the pregnancy and Tim having such a busy semester, when I had a break I slept instead of getting anything else done. So here are some highlights since the last post.

Evalyn turned 3 back in September!  Goodness, is that girl growing up fast!

The Pumpkin Walk and Halloween!  October is one of my favorite months of the year and the holidays just get more and more fun with Evalyn.  This was the first year we took her actual Trick-or-Treating and she loved it, of course! Who doesn’t love getting free candy!

In November, Tim made a robot hat from his Coke Zero box, I took a picture of my 12 week pregnant belly, Evalyn made herself a peanut butter sandwich (grabbed everything she needed by herself.  Like I said she is growing up so fast!)

And we enjoyed Thanksgiving with our family in Centerville!

December was so fun!!!  It was really nice having Tim home more with the school break.  Evalyn said multiple times, “Daddy, I like when you are home!”  It was a wonderful Christmas and we have been so blessed this!  I greatly love this family I have been blessed with and I’m so excited for our new addition!
