Trip home to AZ :)

ANNOUNCEMENT: Emily is going to be a big sister two days after her 2nd Birthday!! Nov. 12th We are so excited! Honestly it happened alot faster than we thought it would and we can't believe we are going to have another little bundle of joy kind of soon. Hope we can handle it! :) All I know is that bottles have got to go as well as hopefully diapers before this next one arrives!!!
We went home for a visit for about 5 days. It was so fun to watch Emily with her cousins! Fun and sad at the same time. Sad that she doesnt get to play with them more often!! It was so nice because I found myself just sitting on the couch not worried about where she was because I knew she was with 4 other girls!! That never happens at home. She is by my side or playing near 100% of the time! It was kind of a break for me!! :)
Kaitlyn-5 being smashed by Kamryn-20months and Emily-17months! They stayed like this for ten minutes!!
We drove to AZ and Emily and I flew back. Suprisingly Emily did awesome on the 12.5 hour drive. We left at 630 pm and she fell asleep eating chicken nuggets until 8. Then she went back down at 9 and we stopped at a hotel at midnight. She was up for an hour:( She slept good though once she was down! She had a makeshift bed out of the pull-out couch!! I was a little worried but she did great! We left at 730 the next morning and got into Mesa about 230. First things first we got Mexican food for lunch and had Barros Pizza for dinner!!
Emily smelling a Gold Canyon Candle. Whatever kept her happy in the car!!
Reading a book!! :)
Got to Gma and Gpa Adairs that afternoon! She found the statues on the piano and loved them! She kept giving Jesus hugs and kisses!

Such a cutie pie!
Loves sitting at the piano! Gma and Gpa Adair's house is the only one she gets to play at!
We sing Wheels on the Bus alot!! Her favorite part is The babies on the bus go Waa Waa Waa!! She does the actions and says Waa Waa Waa...sometimes she will just do this out of nowhere! We love it!
The she does the Mama's say Shh Shh Shh!!
One of her other favorite things to do is get into cupboards! She gets under our sink all of the time. Well she found one at the Adairs too! Full of Diet Cokes! Didn't stop her!! The next day Gma and Gpa emptied a cupboard out just for her!!
Squeeze in...! Then she says Bye Bye! :)
The night before I left I was able to go out with these ladies! Stephanie who I have known since we moved into her neighborhood when I was 12 and Joni who was our leader in Mia Maids back in the day. We had such a great group back then! I don't know a lot of people who became great friends with their mia maid leader but we sure did... (testament to how great of a person Joni is!!) I am so thankful to all of the great examples in my life that I have had!

What a great trip back! We miss AZ!! :(

Just too cute to resist another post!

Second week of church in CO. One of my FAVORITE pictures!

We got Emi this chair for her Birthday. She loves it!

Back in October! In the Gilbert house! What a cutie pie! This was a few months ago but she looks like such a big girl!

Pictures of the MOVE!

I was hoping the post before this would be first because it is the story of how the move came about. Oh well I guess you will get to it eventually! :) Sorry I tend to ramble and the posts are a little long! Hopefully the more I blog, the less long they will be!!

We were so packed! We left alot to donate and stuffed a bunch anywhere we could find room!

We had so much family help!! A little late but THANK YOU!!!!!!!

The caravan...

We lived in this house for two months. We liked it but honestly it never felt like home! Chad a month into living here mentioned he felt like he was at a beach rental. I felt the same way. Now that we are in another house we feel way more at home here! It is a great feeling!
Goodbye Gilbert house! Chad drove the moving truck and pulled his pickup. Chad's dad drove our car behind. They left a day early due to the bad storms that were coming. Thank goodness they beat the storms! Another example of how everything just worked out so great!

Happy to be on the plane.....she is happy anywhere!

First time on a plane with Emily. I was so nervous and stressed! We had an early flight and didnt realize we needed her birth certificate! Thank goodness for email! Chad was able to scan it and email it to us at 530 in the morning! We were a little late but made it! Sat in the back by the window. They asked me to move for a mom with two kids since there cant be more than four to a row. I did. I shouldnt have though! I got stuck between two relativily large men. Thank goodness Emily slept for half the flight! BLESSING! She did so great! I did lose my wallet at Sky Harbor though! :( All my Christmas cash and gift cards!! Even more though the wallet was a Coach wallet from Chad! That made me the most sad! It was a sad couple of hours but someone turned it in! YAY! It was so good to see Chad and feel like we were home and finally going to get settled again. It had been a long few weeks! When we landed it was sunny. When we drove home from the airport it started to snow! Welcome home to us!

Taken when we got home from airport.

From our front door!

Emily so happy to be free to roam!

Emily playing in Daddy's new work boots.

Walking in from front door to main level. Living room, Dining room and Kitchen. There are stairs going up to three bedrooms/2bath and stairs going down to Family room, bathroom, bedroom, basement which we use for storage.

Kitchen...obviously.

From main floor/kitchen area looking down into the family room. Great place to gate Emily off! :)

Master Bedroom....looks much better now! One complaint is the small closet and bathroom. We have adjusted though! I get ready in the hall bath and have a closet all to myself in the office! :)

We definitely have one happy girl!

THE MOVE!

A week before Thanksgiving, Chad had to pick up a car from CO. He was going to fly early in the morning on a Friday and drive the car home. His original plan was to leave Thursday but he changed his mind. So Thursday eve he calls a guy he had met just a few times who lives in Denver to ask about a car service to get him from the airport to the place where he was picking up the car. From this conversation a job opening was brought up and this guy asked Chad if he was interested. 40 minutes later Chad had an interview scheduled the next day at 11. Around 8 that night Chad was at the mall trying to find clothes to wear! :) We didnt go to bed until super late that night because Chad also needed to update his resume! We were pretty frantic, nervous, excited and just thought that the timing was pretty crazy!

Chad had the interview and said it was the best one he had ever been on! We told both of our parents about the possibility a few days later! We couldn't hold it in. Part of us was so excited at the possibility of a good job for one but also the thought of moving to CO! We were working really hard to not get our hopes up! They offered him the job almost two weeks after the interview. He filled out the paperwork and background check stuff and found out on Fri December 10th that they would like him to start Mon the 13th. AAGH! His job for two weeks was to find us a place to live and 'work' of course! I went and stayed with my parents for the two weeks so I could concentrate on packing up our recently unpacked and organized house! Yeah not fun for me!

The first few days were rough! Chad was not happy being without us and wondered if we were making a big mistake moving from where both of us have lived our whole lives and where both our families are! He also wasnt having any luck finding a place to live. Everything that looked remotely decent was not when he walked through it. Most of the places were too big and expensive or too small and old/dirty! So he took his Dad's advice on Wed and called a Bishop of an area where he thought looked nice! Thank goodness for the internet!! There were three Bishops listed and of course he chose Bishop Reed due to my maiden name! :) Turns out there was a guy in the ward that had a second house for rent. He was going to list it the next day!! Chad met him at a scouting event at the church that night and they went and looked at the house! He was sold! :) We both were so relieved. (mostly him....he was very stressed about finding us a place!) I couldnt wait to see it! I trusted him completely but it was still hard not being involved!

So here we are! We had a great Christmas at home in Mesa and spent lots of time with both families! It was sure hard to say goodbye but we have already been back for a quick weekend visit. My dad came to visit us (bring up most of my junk that has been in my old bedroom since before we were married!) Then my Mom and Sister Ally came to visit a couple of weekends ago! We already have a trip planned again in June! My niece is getting baptized!! YAY!! Chad said he would never visit AZ in the months of June,July,Aug but this is an exception! I will be coming for a week. Chad for just the weekend! :)

We have been so happy here! The ward is great! The weather is awesome! The neighborhood and area are beautiful! Who knows what the future holds?? Throughout this process there was no doubt in both of our minds that we were being led by our Heavenly Father! Everything worked out too perfectly to be coincidence and we feel so blessed! Never in our minds did we think that we would have such a great opportunity! We hope to one day return to AZ but if we stay here we won't complain! :)

Catch up or start from today???

So I think I am going to try and play catch up as much as I can. So much has happened since that little pudgy girl had her first swim! I will try to summarize up to this point as best I can! In October we moved to a new house in Gilbert! In November we celebrated Emily's 1st Birthday! It was a great day and we loved having family over to celebrate!

It is hard for me to find the time to sit down and blog. Most of these pictures are on Facebook because it takes so much less time to upload! I have never had good luck with uploading my pictures on here! I spent 45 min yesterday starting this post and typing up about our move. Well I tried to copy and paste most of the text and it was deleted! UGH! Then Emily woke up and turned off the computer while pics were uploading. I gave up! I will keep trying though. I guess there may be people looking at these that don't have fb?? Maybe I should try to journal more which is something that I havent done a whole lot of and is not done on fb! I will definitely try to be better at staying on top of it!
