Camping in Bishop

This October I went camping in Bishop for the first time. It is known for its bouldering. I went with some friends who are much more experienced rock climbers than myself. I mostly hiked around and watched them climb amazing things. We also went to some hot springs and the Mammoth Brewery. Fun times!

Nike Women's Marathon 2012!

 Run fast like a baby Cheetah!!!

I did the Nike Women's 1/2 marathon this year with my sisters Amy and Emily. It was so much fun as always. Amazing energy, inspiration, perspiration, and lots of hard work. It was Emily's first time running anything over a 10K and she did such an amazing job pushing herself. I am so proud of her and happy that we could do something so fun and memorable together.

Pumpkin Patch

October is my favorite month of the year. Mostly because for me it is the start of the holidays and there is lots of fun to be had. My friends and I went out to a 4 acre, 10 foot tall, corn maze in Petaluma. In addition to discovering the meaning of life (you're right becomes a left) we had a great time and picked out some super cute pumpkins!

Hood to Coast Relay

I had the amazing opportunity to complete the Hood to Coast Relay with my Brother Aaron, Sister in Law Sarah and 9 other amazing team members this August. It was right around my birthday and I couldn't have picked a better way to celebrate. I have never pushed myself so hard as I had to in this race. Sleep deprivation, cramped muscles, and tiny car sleeping spaces. I remember running my second leg around 330 in the morning. It was in the crystal clear mountain air and I could see millions of stars above me. I remember thinking that if this wasn't a bucket list item, it certainly was now, and I had just checked it off! I got 30 road kills on that leg alone, and around 67 overall. For those of you who don't know, a road kill is a person you pass on the course. We had 199 miles of race way and we killed all of it :). 

I really find out what I'm made of in challenging events like this. This one pushed me to my edge and I loved it for that. I know I am made of tougher things than I use to be and I am thankful for each amazing day that reminds me of that!

Color Run!

My friends Rachel and Libby decided to do the Color Run in San Francisco this summer. The happiest 5k! We had so much fun getting sprayed with Rainbows and the entire race was just magic!
