I made this fancy schmancy book on Shutterfly.com! I wanted to have a compilation of all my best work at FotoFly so I put this together! It makes me feel like an artist. When I got the book in the mail I looked through it, showed it to my families and thought, "Huh. I really am a professional photograher. Sweet". I'm so grateful for all the training and experience I've had. I've been taught by the best and it has made me such a strong photographer! It is so gratifying to create beautiful, funny, cool, and stunning images. I LOVE it. I'll put the link up for my schmancy book on Facebook so you can see it!

We took Bob to the driving range for our Father's Day present to him. (We've just been waiting for a day that wasn't blazing hot) And so I got to have my first experience on the driving range! I've only golfed once in my whole life for a high school class... so it goes without saying that I'm quite an entertaining scene. I miss the ball half of the time when I swing... I can't even take myself seriously. Haha. We had a great time though. Eric and Bob are pretty darn good!

 Bob said I have some natural talent. I think he's crazy. Haha. I guess when I did manage to hit the ball I could put some pretty good distance on it... but that was on the off chance that I actually made contact with the ball in the first place.

Eric loves Jones soda. So we bought some. I love cream soda so I gave that a shot... it tasted like liquid cotton candy. Bleh. But hey, there's funny stuff on the insides of all the caps!

Today was my high school 5-year reunion! I can't believe it's been five years! These are my bestest friends from high school. There's Dan Mortimer on the left (friends since 9th grade), then Josh Harris in the middle (friends since 5th grade) and Brett Bunker on the right (friends since 4th grade). Talk about a good group of friends! I love these guys. It was so much fun to get together with them all and catch up. I'm so glad that we've stayed friends and that this wasn't the first time I've seen them or talked to them since high school. I've been blessed with some pretty incredible friends. :)

Favorite FotoFly moment EVER. This darling 4-year-old girl was such a character. She was hilarious! We had a great time taking her pictures. So much personality! At the very end of the session her mom wanted some pictures of her blowing bubbles. We were in a bit of a time crunch so I told her I'd race her to see who could blow a huge bubble first. It was great! We got some really fun pictures. We took this at the end just for my sake and the mom said we HAD to include it on the CD. Haha. I love it.

This purple lavender bush is the bane of Eric's life. It's become so overgrown that it's hard to get out of the car in the driveway and you run a high risk of being stung by one of the hundreds of bees that are always in the bush. All summer long Eric has griped about it and threatened to go out and pull it out of the ground in the middle of the night. It cracks me up. I don't know why he won't just go ask our landlord if he'll trim it back... :)

Our house is like 50 years old I think. This is manifest in the doorknobs... which I think are really cool. And it makes me wish I had an awesome skeleton key. ...or makes me think I should be on 'The Others'. Especially since this is the door that goes upstairs into the mysterious house that I've never seen the rest of. Spooky. Haha.

Coupons!!! I'm become kind of a coupon lady since we've been married. I'm all about sales at the grocery store, discounts at restaurants and FREE COOKIES!!  Haha. Eric's pretty good at helping me remember when I have a coupon we need to use. Chris even gave us one of those coupon books kids sell for elementary school fund raisers because they never use it. So the discounts go on!!

I love decorating cakes... which is funny because I don't even like cake most of the time. I have a nifty cake decorating kit with dyes that I bought when I took a cake decorating class in college. Anyone have a wedding they need a cake for??? :)

I LOVE riding my bike. I brought it up from my parents house and took a little bike trip out to buy a helmet and a chain for my bike. It's like my favorite form of exercise... even though I've had the same bike since I was about 10 and it's probably too small for me. Haha.

Waffle night got a little steamy!!! Eric had to work tonight for Pioneer Day so I went down to my parents' house after work and we had a fun waffle party. It cracks me up that my dad looks several inches shorter than my mom in this picture..?? Haha.

We were sitting in Sacrament meeting today and we were singing hymns about pioneers for Pioneer Day. Eric leaned over to me and whispered, "I have that pioneer song stuck in my head... you know the one that goes 'Pioneeeeeer, pioneeeeeeer.... duh nah duh duh duh...something something...' I forgot the words." I don't know what it was about that but I started laughing so hard I almost couldn't breathe. Eric started cracking up too. So there we were in sacrament meeting doubled over laughing as quietly as we could. I thought we might get kicked out for being so irreverent. Oh my funny Eric. <3

Take me out to the ballgame! I have been itching to go to a baseball game all summer! Eric and I went to a Salt Lake Bees game with the Hammonds this evening. It was so fun! I love the environment of baseball! Hot dogs, blankets on the grass, stadium lights, and fireworks and glow sticks after the game! All-American fun!

Bored. I've done nothing today but watch Lost. Eric has been at work and it's my day off of work and I was planning on getting a lot of things done. Well that didn't happen. I did wash all the dirty dishes. At the end of the day I decided to be a little productive and at least walk Bailey. We walked down to Nielsen's for some of the best ice cream ever. I got all the way down there and placed my order only to find out they only took cash. I had no cash. So we walked all the way home. Bummer.

This is what I came home to after work. Eric sort of forgot to close the bathroom door when he shut Bailey in the kitchen today. When we leave her alone we always put the kitchen garbage in the bathroom and then close the door so that she doesn't get into things she shouldn't. She did. She shredded an entire box of tissues, decorated the kitchen in toilet paper, and destroyed a box of wipes. This is her hanging her head in shame. I sent Eric this picture in a text that said, "Forget something?" Naughty naughty Bailey.

The relief society called and asked me to make a cake for a funeral in our ward. I didn't even know this old lady that died. I'm sad for the families who lost their dear grandma... but it was still fun to make a cake for the funeral. So here is my lovely raspberry lemon cake with cream cheese frosting!

It's HOT. In our basement apartment it's cooler than everywhere else but there still isn't any air conditioning... which is unfortunate. The people who live upstairs have a swamp cooler so that cools it down a little downstairs but we were VERY grateful to the Merrills for letting us borrow this fan. So now we have two fans... and popsicles... I think we'll survive. :)

 Eric decided to shave his beard off for a job interview at the hospital (he's trying to get a second job part-time for the summer and fall). He decided to do it in stages. Here's the before shot.

 Stage one: The Count of Monte Cristo. Seriously though, doesn't he look like he should be in that movie??

Stage two: The creeper. I think he looks like a pedofile. He sent this picture with his creepy mustache to a few people. Everyone thought he looked like a cop... or a 80's porn star. Can't say I'm familiar with any porn stars... no comment on that one. I just think he looked creepy.
Stage three: the cleanly shaven Eric. Forgot to take a picture of this one but I'm sure you can imagine it. :)

We went for a lovely Sunday afternoon walk around the temple today and continued trying to teach Bailey to walk beside us instead of trying to pull us along. She's getting pretty good at it for the most part. What a happy little family!

Tonight Libby and my mom taught us a fun new game called Bananagrams. It's like speed scrabble! It was pretty fun! I am still pretty darn proud of myself because I spelled autism and perfume in the same round! What a smarty pants! Haha

COOKIE MONSTER!!! My mom and Libby and I went out to dinner for girls night tonight. Pizza Pie Cafe is the best! And Libby had a coupon for a free cookie monster! Delicious! I had a great time partying with my mom and my sister!

Today Eric took me on a trip down memory lane with him. We went on a tour of Woods Cross High School and Eric told me all of his memories of classes and friends and football and percussion. It was fun to hear all his funny stories. :)

Poor poor wet Bailey! I took Bailey down to my parents' house with me while Eric was working. My mom and I went out and ran some errands and then it started raining. Poor Bailey stuck out in the rain! I felt like a terrible mommy.

Today we celebrated the 2 year anniversary of FotoFly at work. There were LOTS of helium balloons. When we were closing up Mike (pictured in the middle) walked in with some helium balloons and invited Kenny (left) to join us in a little helium-sucking party. I think I can count on one hand how many times I've done that in my life. I've been too scared because it supposedly kills brain cells. We laughed pretty hard and had a great time. I am sort of... unhealthily obsessed with the TV show Lost. I never saw it when it was on TV and I never really heard much about it until recently. My sister Macy and her husband started watching it on Netflix and told me how much they like it. I was a little interested in the premise so one night when I had nothing to do and nothing to watch I started Lost. I was instantly hooked and I haven't been able to stop watching it since! It's crazy! So many mysteries! So much suspense! I love it! Eric knows how it all ends but he got hooked on it too. And now I have no life.

 Happy 4th of July! We had a lovely holiday with the Merrills and the Hammonds. We even had 2 barbeques! Haha We taught the Merrills how to play one of our favorite card games: Canadian Fruit Salad! I have a pretty good hand there too. ;)

 Here's the Hammond Family at my Nana's 4th of July Party that evening. We had a Watermelon seed spitting contest. Good times!

That night we played with sparklers and went to fireworks at the Holladay Elementary. It was a fabulous Independence Day. I sure am grateful to live is such a blessed wonderful country. I'm so grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and the endless opportunities we have here as well as for the many men, women, and families who sacrifice so much to defend it. I'm proud to be an American!

Our mountains are on fire today. Early this morning a tractor spark started a fire in the foothills of Alpine, Utah. The mountain has been ablaze all day threatening the American Fork Canyon and many homes. I found out tonight that hundreds of acres have been burned and many homes in Alpine have been evacuated. Fortunately no homes were consumed by the wildfire. This picture was taken from where I work in Draper. The fire was only about 5 miles from when my parents live. I'm so grateful no one was hurt and that no one lost their homes!
