Happy 7 Months, Hannah!!

Hannah is 7 months old today!  She has gotten so big this past month.

It has been awhile since my last post, a month to be exact!!

Things got pretty hectic starting when Michael was away for work and ever since I haven't been making time to blog.  It is my goal to get back to posting at least a couple of times a week.  I want to start by going back and documenting big moments from this past month.  So more on what has been going on lately in the weeks to come.

For now, happy 7 months to our little princess!!

Hannah at 7 Months:

17lb. 5oz.
(according to our scale, no Dr visit this month)

She has her first two teeth!  (you can spot them in some of the pictures!)
She is crawling!!
She is pulling up everywhere she can!
She loves to hold onto your hands and "walk"!  (crawling is just not satisfying enough for her!)
She still loves to eat and doesn't make a face at new foods.
She loves to be sang to.
She does not like when people clap for her, it often results in crying.
She is super smiley.
It is not always easy to get big laughs, but when they come they are well worth the effort.
Her favorite noise to make is this funny panting sound (sort of sounds like a puppy!)
She likes to go for walks with her Daddy.
She NEVER sits still!!

Cute even when she cries :)

Happy 7 Months, Hannah Jo!

We love you more than anything!

Happy 6 Months, Hannah!

Our little princess was 6 months old yesterday!

She is half way to being a year old, it doesn't even seem possible.

Hannah at 6 months:

16 lb. 4oz.
27 inches long

She can sit up and move backwards!
She gets on her hands and knees and rocks back and forth.
She "talks" so much more!
She makes raspberries with her mouth.
Her giggle is louder and stronger!  (and the absolute best sound in the world!)
She loves to sit up in front of her toy basket and play.
She loves to watch cars go by in the front window.
She chews anything and everything she can get in her mouth!
She loves to eat, peaches seem to be her favorite.

We love you Hannah!

Jackie's 30th Birthday Celebration

Happy 30th Birthday Jackie!!

I honestly still can't believe that we are all turning 30 this year!  I know I have a baby but sometimes I  just don't feel like a "grown up."

Saturday was Jackie's 30th birthday and party.  Her awesome husband, Andy, threw her a great party with lots of yummy food!!  I made cole slaw and dirt for the party and I really wish that I took some photos so I could share the recipes.  I tend to make both of those things a lot so I will definitely share next time!!

We had such a great time celebrating!  I love my friends!!

A photo shoot with my adorable nephew, Kyle!

He was directing what kinds of faces we were supposed to be making.

These are some of my favorites!!

I certainly hope girls don't require as much running around as boys do!!  He really tired me out!!

Jackie's equally pretty and delicious birthday cake!

(It made a pretty great breakfast the next morning!  Thanks for the leftovers!)

The night ended with Kyle opening Jackie's presents!

She loved her Rebecca Minkoff mini mac from me and Alise!

Jackie - Hope you had a great 30th and that all your birthday wishes come true!!  Love you!!

Weekend Recap: Playing, Biting, and Pool Fun

Monday, again.  Sigh.

We had lots of fun this past weekend and I was much better at documenting it with photos, although there were lots of things I thought about after and wished I had taken a minute to take out my iPhone for.

Friday night, Vicki was in from Rhode Island so she came over with Alise to visit Hannah.  Hannah loved all the attention and additional playmates!  We ordered out yummy appetizers for dinner and just chatted.  So fun!

I was tired from the week so I got in bed early.  About an hour after I went to bed, I came out to the living room to find this.

I am sure Michael won't be happy that I am posting this photo, but it made me think of when I was first pregnant and so exhausted all the time.  I would go to bed early and Michael would say he wasn't tired yet,  After awhile I would realize Michael never came to bed, and I would come out to find him passed out on the couch!

Saturday was, one of my besties, Jackie's 30th birthday party.

We woke up and enjoyed some morning snuggles with Hannah in our bed.  This is sometimes my most favorite part of the day.  Hannah wakes up so happy in the morning!

So upset this came out blurry!

My mom, sister and cousin came to watch Hannah while we went to Jackie's party.  I will do another post on the party this week.  But for now, here is the Instagram collage that I made.  We are such babies in some of these pictures!!  How is it possible that we are turning 30!?!  Love you Jacks!

Sunday, Hannah decided to sleep in until 8 and her mommy and daddy were very grateful for the extra sleep after a fun day on Saturday!  Then, I enjoyed some leftover cake for breakfast, while Hannah played with her toys.  Seriously, there is nothing better than cake in the morning!  (or really any time of day!!)

She sits for so long and just picks up toys, either bites them or shakes them and then throws them!

We made a quick trip the Gap (Friends and Family Sale and Hannah needed some new jammies!) and then Starbucks.  Hannah was very tired and fell asleep in the car on the way home.

After her nap and lunch, we went out to play in the baby pool!  I am in love with her Vera Bradley bathing suit and cover up!!  Too bad I couldn't get her to look at my for any pictures!!

Biting and playing with her paci.

Biting all of the pool toys!

There has to be a tooth coming, right!?

After pool time, we relaxed and got ready for the week.  Hannah had a little accident playing with a Poland Spring bottle that resulted in lots of crying.  Even though she loves them, no more water bottles as toys!!

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!  Michael is traveling for work starting this coming weekend, so we are looking forward to lots of togetherness this week before he has to leave us!

Obsessed with...Sophie the Giraffe

When I bought this for Hannah while I was pregnant, I never could have imagined how much she would love it!!

I knew there was some hype around Sophie but I thought it was pretty expensive for a small baby toy and I don't really even like giraffes, so I thought we would be passing on Sophie altogether.  But then a few of my maternity sweaters ripped (after I washed them according to the directions) and I was able to return them to Destination Maternity.

I was now almost 9 months pregnant and completely done buying maternity clothes and stuck with a merchandise credit to the maternity store.  I waited for one of their sale emails (30% off everything) and decided to buy baby items with the credit.  Their selection of baby things is very limited and Sophie was one of the few things that stood out, so decided to get it.

I am SO happy I did!!

I can't even begin to count the amount of time Hannah has spent chewing on her nose.  She absolutely loves Sophie and when we go out Sophie is always in the diaper bag!  Hannah is obsessed with it and therefore so am I!!

She spends so much time biting the nose, I don't know how the only picture I have of Hannah with Sophie is this one!!

If you are on the fence about spending the money on Sophie, definitely get her!

Any other must have teething toys?  There are so many out there, which other ones are worth having?

Weekend Recap: Moving Backwards!

This past weekend was pretty uneventful.  We did lots of organizing and cleaning.  Totally glamorous, I know!  I will share the only pictures I took and hopefully we will have a more exciting weekend coming up for me to share next week.

Hannah is getting pretty good at moving backwards.  She went backwards across the living room and got herself stuck underneath the TV cabinet.

She hasn't figured out forwards yet, but I guess it is time to start thinking about baby proofing because I feel like that is coming so soon!  I can't believe our little peanut is getting so big!!

The next photos are from bedtime on Sunday night.  All that rolling and moving backwards must have really exhausted her!  :)

Random Wish List

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Monday is here way too soon, yet again!  Today I am linking up today with Momfessionals to share my wishlist.

When I sat down to think about my wishlist it sort of came out as a whole bunch of random things, so that is what I am going to share!  Here is my random wishlist!

1.  A trip for my birthday

I am turning the big "30" in November and I would really like to go away to celebrate.  I want Michael to plan a little trip instead of a party or a gift.  I don't want to have to worry about the planning, that is gift enough!!

2. A baby carrier

I have the baby K'Tan wrap that I got at my baby shower, but I have had by eye on the Ergo Baby carrier for awhile.  I have been debating between their original carrier and the just released 360 carrier.

Any advice on which one to go with?  Do you love a different baby carrier that I should consider?  Would love to hear from you!

3.  Finishing Hannah's nursery

Hannah's nursery is mostly complete but there are a few more things I have been on the look out for to make it finished.  I currently have my eye on this mirror for over her changing table.
I am also looking for a narrow white book case to put at the entrance of her room to store her books and display some things.  Once I get that, I can hang some more pictures and this beautiful shelf that my friends got her as gift when she was born.  I have looked all over online for the perfect shelf but I haven't been able to find anything.  The search continues...

I also want a decal of a quote to put over her closet.  I have a great decal of her name over her crib that I got from Etsy.  I need to find the time to do some searching around on Etsy to find a decal or quote that I really like.

Once I have the room complete, I will share photos!

4.  A cleaning lady

With both Michael and I working, we have such limited amount of time home with Hannah, I don't want to always spend our weekends cleaning.  I can't complain too much because Michael does help with (do) a lot of the cleaning, but I would love to just be able to think about spending time together as a family on the weekends instead of how dirty the kitchen floor is!

Once Hannah starts crawling we aren't going to be able to get away with putting off vacuuming and sweeping so long!  :)

There you have it!  My random wish list!  Looking at it makes me realize how much times have changed since having Hannah.  Last year this list would have been filled with clothes, shoes, make up and all things like that!  Having a baby certainly changes everything!!
