Yes we are still here!

I know that it has been forever since I have updated my blog and I really don't even have a good excuse! I guess the biggest change in our lives since my last post is the new addition to our family. Yes I let Matt talk me into a puppy! As soon as I agreed to get a dog we got on KSL and had him picked out and picked up within 24 hours (I think Matt was scared that I would change my mind). I called and found out that he was in Beaver so me and my mom jumped in the car at about 6pm and went to pick him up. I got home at about 12am and Matt was up waiting for us with all the dog supplies we will ever need! So his name is Copper and he is a puggle (pug\beagle) He really is the cutest dog ever and he has really grown on me. He was born on July 1 and was about 10 weeks when we got him. When we got him he was about 5lbs and now weighs about 11lbs, but we are hoping he wont get too much bigger. Here are a few picture of our little Copper.
So that is the latest on us! I will try harder to get back into the blogging world:) Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Island Park\Yellowstone

A few weeks ago we went to Island Park with Matt's family. We stayed in this awesome cabin with 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms! It was perfect! We had so much fun! Matt and I were the first ones there because I had never been to Yellowstone and I wanted to make sure I got to see everything! The first day we were there we went straight to Old Faithful. We were there for a few hours just doing little hikes and seeing all of the geysers.

The next day we all went and floated the Snake River. Since there were about 20 of us we had 2 rafts and a canoe. It took us a few hours but it was fun. We had k=lunch and definitely had some good laughs:) While we were floating down the river we saw 2 moose. A cow moose and a huge bull moose. They were across the river from eachother so we were a little nervous floating between them but is was really cool to see them that close in the wild!

On Saturday we were going into Yellowstone, but a few of us stopped at the Bear and wolf museum on the way. It was neat to see the bears and the wolves. Of course Matt loved it:)

So we all met up after the museum to head into Yellowstone. We decided to start with Old Faithful but on our way up we got stuck in traffic for what seemed like ever! After awhile we found out that the road was closed because Pres. Obama decided to go see Old Faithful the same time we wanted to! So we turned our caravan around and go check out some other geysers first.

So after kinda a long day of waiting in traffic and seeing some geysers everyone kinda had different ideas of what they wanted to do so everyone kind went there own ways. Me, Matt, Pete, Whitney, and Isabelle decided that we had not seen enough of Yellowstone so we drove the loop and saw lots of different things. Our next stop was probably my favorite. It was the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Although it was kinda scary looking down it was so beautiful!

Next we drove through Hayden valley and saw tons of Bison! We saw Yellowstone Lake, West Thumb, and Old Faithful. Although it was a lot of driving and a little cold we still had fun. I am really glad that we got to see so much of beautiful Yellowstone!

Thanks Klc's for the great trip! I can't wait til the next one!

"It's Reunion Time"

We have had such a fun and busy August and I have so many pictures to post! Every year around the 1st of August my family on my moms side has a huge family reunion. We go up into the mountains and camp and have fun! My grandparents are usually there for a week and most everyone else show up on Friday and stay til Sunday. Well this year Matt and I were feeling a little adventurous and went up on Thursday:)

Our Family Reunion is definitely not your regular family reunion, instead of four wheelers and dirt bikes we have horses and wagon rides. Everyone loves when grandpa hooks up the team and takes us on wagon rides!

This reunion has been going on for almost 30 years and in my 26 years I have not missed one! It is one of my favorite things and even though it was FREEZING this year! I am already excited for next year:)

On Saturday we had a Volleyball tournament with about 8 teams and guess whos team won? MINE! pretty much we won because of me (ok maybe not)

I am also so proud of Matt! He won the prized medallion no inlaw has ever won it and this was only Matt's third reunion:)
