Randoms and Stuff

Been thinking of moving over to WordPress... feedback is welcome!

My mailman hates me.  I didn't get my mail for a little over a week.  So he put a 10-day hold on my mail.  I went to the post office yesterday to get it and the guy couldn't find it.  WTF?!  So annoyed!

Milli peed on  my bed.  Again.  For the 4th time in the last two months.  Which means I've had to wash ALL of my bedding four times in the last two months.  Duvet, comforter and all!  I'm so done with the puppy-stage!  That's her on the kitchen table, coming to say hello.

The "non-girlfriend" is back at my house.  I'm less than thrilled about this.

I have a severe case of eczema on both of my hands, and I suspect, my left foot.  It's really ugly.  And annoying.  I've tried almost everything.  Any suggestions?
I've been a crafting fiend this week.  I'm making lots of fun goodies for gifts this year and I hope everyone likes them!

I'm so over the dogs barking, I could scream!  They bark at E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G!!!

I think I'll start spraying them with the squirt bottle.
I need a vacation in the worst way.  And I have no money.  So there goes that idea.  Good thing I started back at yoga, huh?

Have I mentioned my TV is on the fritz?  Well, word on the street is that Santa is bringing me one.  I can't wait to have a TV that actually turns on without having to hold down the power button indefinitely.

I lurve my new iPhone.  And now I want an iPad.  I'll be taking donations...
I miss my man so incredibly much.  Have I mentioned I hate that he lives in TX now?  Seriously.  It's effing lame.  We're having a webcam date on Sunday.  I'm sooo excited to see him!

BigMamaCass is having a Boy!  I was really hoping for a girl, but ya know, it's not my baby... it's just so much more fun to shop for girl clothes!

Sometimes I think I want kids.  Sometimes I don't.  Hmmm.... what to do, what to do?

Random Tuesdayness - Anyone Know How I Can Get A Back Transplant?

So, on Saturday morning I got out of bed, looked out the window to see what the weather was doing, stretched, and pulled something major in my back. I sat down on the bed hoping it would pass... and it didn't. And it still hasn't. I spent all of Saturday and Sunday in bed (minus a trip to my parents' house for dinner for Father's Day), and then slept yesterday until 1:30 PM. I finally got up and had some toast around 2. I've done heat. I've done ice. I've done ibuprofen. It all takes the edge off, but something is wrong in there and I want a new one. Whatever it is. The only good to come of this is I decided not to travel this week. So I'm working from home and enjoying it quite a bit!I saw this bathroom on the HGTV Design Happens blog and am in love. I'd love to do something like that in my bathroom, however, I'm never installing wall tile on my own ever again. Tiling a floor is one thing... tiling a wall is something entirely different and more difficult. I think I'm drawn to the colors and the sparkle more than anything. In any case, it's something to keep in mind if/when I get around to decorating my bathroom.I've got another trip to Denver coming up and I'm really excited. Now, sit down before you read this next part... I'll wait... You ready? I'm going camping. Like, sleeping in a tent, camping. Not like, pooping in the woods camping, but camping with a toilet. Which some people don't consider "camping" but it's about as far as I go. Cassi's family that we're going with have a little camper with a toilet, so I'm good to go. The pooping in the woods thing so doesn't work for me. I can barely take a wiz without it running down my leg and getting all over everything. It's safer this way. Trust me. (P.S. If we were camping in a tent like the one above, I wouldn't complain a bit!)

With that, I bit you adieu! SYTYCD is on in a few minutes and I've gotta watch it!

Blog Slacking

I can't remember if I shared this cartoon with y'all before... but it cracks me up, and since I've been lacking in the posting department, I thought it might make up for something!

Has anyone seen Eurotrip? I've been watching it on TBS, so while all the good stuff was edited out, I'm still laughing my ass off. When Auri's oldest was little, he used to call this movie "Scotty Doesn't Know" ... if you haven't seen it, then the reference won't make sense. If you have, can you agree with me that Matt Damon looks ridiculously hot being pierced and tattooed with a shaved head? No? Whatever.

Anyhoodle... I realized yesterday that I haven't posted all week... nor have I been around to anyone else's blogs. I was in Denver for 5 days and then I was working from home the rest of the week. I forgot what it was like to work from home and used all my extra free time to get stuff done around the house... hence, the blog-lacking.

Denver was fantabulous... I got to see my baby every single day and I am missing him so incredibly much it's crazy. Cassi and I had sooo much fun shopping and dorking around and I can't wait to go back. I'm heading back to OKC tomorrow and will return with pics and a recap of my trip. Hope y'all had a great weekend!

Random Tuesdayness - I'm Clicking My Heels But I'm Not Home Yet!

Shit's goin' down and I forgot to pack my ruby slippers! For some reason, I keep getting assigned to projects in states that have wind issues. I am absolutely terrified of the wind. Why? I don't know. Where did the fear come from? I have no friggin' idea. What I do know is that there is a VERY HIGH PROBABILITY THERE WILL BE A TORNADO HERE IN OKC TODAY. I'm less than happy about this. I guess the fact that I've spent almost 2 years traveling to "windy" states and this is the first encounter with a major storm isn't a bad track record.

Update: We (my coworkers and I) left the office early because of the storm. We got to the hotel, changed into some comfy clothes, and hunkered down until about 7 PM. We spent about an hour and a half in the storm shelter, but luckily, this area was spared. Unfortunately, the rest of the state wasn't so lucky. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the storms today.I've been feeling mighty crafty lately and have come across some really great blogs and websites recently. I found the Ravelry website which is a knit and crochet community. They've got a ton of information on there and I've only gotten to explore a very little bit of it. This is where I think I'll find the info I'll need for my ugly afghan I've been wanting to make.

While I was looking around on tumblr, I clicked on something that took me over to this page where I found this really fun project. It involves picture frames, spray painting and song lyrics and I can't wait to start on it!On Friday, I was lucky enough to have my mom's cleaning lady come spend two hours on my house! Can I just tell you how happy that made me?! She was able to get the entire first floor cleaned and that meant I didn't have to do it!

I was able to spend a full two days working on getting my bedroom and office cleaned up and organized. I've been trying to de-clutter my room for months. The office has been in a state of disarray since I moved into the house a year and a half ago! It was time to get it done. I'm happy to report everything I started on in my room is done, and my office is a little more than halfway there. I got enough done that I felt good about walking away from it Sunday night! I'll share pics when it's all done!

Random Tuesdayness - It's Tuesday and I'm Antsy

Stacy

I've come to the conclusion that when the bug to write something bites me, I need to write. Starting a post and coming back to it a day or two or four later generally doesn't end well. I get some ideas down and then struggle to combine everything into something entertaining. And seriously, struggling to post kind of takes the fun out of it.
I'm very much enjoying my yoga practice these days. Am I doing as much as I'd like? Hell no. But I'm working on it. Also, the craving for a new tattoo has hit me hard and I'm trying to decide when and where to get my next one. Naturally, I've starting thinking about yogic symbols and may end up going that direction. Of course I'll share when I get it done!
Is that not the cutest thing you've ever seen? Ok, maybe not ever, but the cutest thing you've seen today? No? In the last hour? Oh whatevs... I think the pigoletta is adorable and I kinda want one! Don't tell my dad! I found out on Friday afternoon that I was one of the victims of the scam involving Michael's craft stores. As such, I'm without a debit card until the new one gets reissued. Here's my issue with the whole thing, other than they royally fucked me over... to the scammers: get a goddamn job! If you're so fucking smart as to rig the whole thing and scam money from PEOPLE THAT DON'T HAVE IT, then get a job and do something good in the world! Here's a list of the stores where the fraud occurred. I have impeccable timing, huh?The countdown to Denver is down to 10 days!!! I cannot wait to see my man. Seriously. Y'all have no idea! Well, maybe you do, but this long distance thing is R.O.U.G.H.!!! While I'm in Denver we're going to see Adele's show at the Ogden Theater! I adore that girl and am so excited to see her live. Also, worthy of noting, I think the Civil Wars are opening for her!!! Guess who finally booked her hotel for her trip to Maui next year!!!!! Squee! Me!!!! Holy shit! I am over-the-moon excited! I'm only 90,000 points short right now, but I'm sure I'll have that accrued in no time! OMG, I can't even begin to express how utterly, ecstaticly happy I am! As of right now, I'm going alone... we'll see how things go as to who I decide to take with me! I also have enough miles for my plane ticket so the trip is going to be very inexpensive! All this traveling is finally paying off! I'm been feeling super-crafty lately. (Obviously, since I've been shopping at Michael's...see above.) I saw this picture on tumblr a few weeks ago and decided I want to make an ugly afghan like the one on the couch. The problem is, I don't know how to crochet in a square like that. Can anyone help me out? If not, I can just make 48575684 flowers and sew them all together like this one... whaddaya think? Pretty fugly, huh? So fugly it's cute!

That's it from the peanut gallery for today... Hope y'all are having a great week!

Mwah!

Random Tuesdayness - Boobs, PMS, Singing, Dancing and Having Babies

Boobs. Tatas. Knockers. Have you ever had a "bad boob" day? Like, where you look in the mirror and realize all the flaws with your girls? I had never had one until a few weeks ago. It was kind of strange. I think I'd be more satisfied with mine if I felt I was more in proportion. I've got pretty small knockers compared to the size of my ass. I hate when men have PMS. Seriously. I'm the one with the uterus and ovaries. I'm the one that has to have a period every 24 effing days. I'm the one who has to deal with whacked out hormones. Men shouldn't be allowed to have PMS. Period. If there was one talent I wish I'd been born with, it would definitely be the ability to sing. I love to sing. Love. It. Seeing how I've been told by more than one person that I've got a horrid voice, I try not to do it in public too often. However, if I'm alone in my car, you can bet your ass I've got the music cranked and am singing at the top of my lungs. I want nothing more right now than to get married. If I were able to quit my job, maybe have a baby or two and be a stay-at-home mom, I'd be the HAPPIEST girl in the world. Bet you never thought you'd hear that out of my mouth, huh?I miss dancing like crazy. Like. Crazy. I'd love to get back into it but am not really sure where to start. Everytime I watch people dancing on TV, I can't help but to totally get into it. My body tenses up and I get all excited! I know that RDT offers community classes in SLC so I guess that's where I'll start! Wish me luck! (That's Heather Morris - Brittany on Glee - and she is one of the most amazing dancers I've ever seen! I also may or may not have a girl crush on her...)
Ms. Salti
P.S. Someone... and I'm not mentioning names... *cough* Cassi *cough* ... was supposed to make me a new signature and still hasn't finished it...

Random Tuesdayness - Totally Uninspired

Thursday night I got home from my 10-day trip that went like this SLC OKC DEN OKC SLC... to say I was happy to be home and sleep in my own bed for a few days would be a dramatic understatement. I ended up sleeping the majority of the weekend away. And now I'm counting down to my next trip back to Denver to see my cute boy... and Cassi, too! 31 days to go!

A topic I've mentioned before, and you can bet your asses I'll mention again, is travel etiquette. There are certain things that are and are not acceptable when traveling amongst others. Sitting down on the plane and proceeding to read an entire article/chapter in a book/instruction manual to the person you are with IS NOT OK! Especially if you have the most drab, monotone voice in the ever-loving world! Seriously lady. Was your husband blind? Illiterate? It's nice of you to offer to read to him, but do it on your own effing time!I recently found out about this fabu new technology that allows me internet access where ever I go. I can tether my cell phone to my computer and it turns my phone into my internet connection! Y'all are probably already aware of this, but holy shit man, this is pretty freakin' cool! The service I use on my phone is through PDAnet and it's been great so far. Yes, I had ot pay for it, but it was a one-time fee, and I love it!

I miss him. I miss him so incredibly much. I miss him more than I thought was possible.

Living on the road half of your life gets incredibly lonely. More lonely than you can imagine until you're immersed in the situation. Yes, you make friends in new places, and you set up new routines, but the safety of being able to go home at night and surround yourself with the people and things you love is soooo taken for granted.

A. Age: 31

B. Bed size: Ginormous

C. Chore you dislike: Emptying the dishwasher, just ask my mother. When I was in middle school, if I was over at a friend's house and hadn't emptied the d/w, she'd call me and make me come home to do it. True story.

D. Dogs: Currently reside with NeNe, the baby eater. Former roommates include Fergalicious, who now resides with Mum & Dad, and Sandola whose ashes sit in a little box on the bookshelf.

I. Instruments you play(ED): I'm musically challenged... I'd love to learn the guitar, though.

J. Job title: Glorified Secretary... seriously.

M. Mom’s name: Dubs

N. Nicknames: Tata, Tots, Salti, Gina, Dude, Sissy, Babe

Leavin' On a Jet Plane...

It's Wednesday. It's Me. It's Random. Get over it.

I'm going to Denver on tomorrow to see a cute boy... and Big Mama Cass. I'm pretty sure I couldn't be any more excited if I tried! I have been counting down the days, and now I get to count down the hours!!!

Packing all your shit for 11 days worth of traveling (which essentially includes 3 trips) blows (my suitcase weighs 64 lbs). We're going to spend a few nights up in Estes Park for Cassi's birthday... apparently it's her favorite place in the universe. And apparently Colorado's mountains are cooler than Utah's. I'll let you know my assessment upon my return. Why does alcohol make me randy? I'm genuinely perplexed.

4 hour meetings suck... especially when held 6 times a week... I'm getting ready to yell "FIRE!" in the middle of one just to see what happens.I am in dire need of some new shoes... summertime work shoes... any suggestions? Everything seems to be 5-inch stilettos or just plain ole fugly. (I'd wear those 5-inch Louboutins if you wanna buy them for me...)

I went to dinner last night with my team from work for our PM's birthday. We went to Iguana Grill in downtown OKC and it was so yummy! I've actually found a few really good restaurants in the last couple of weeks!Hey, guess what? I'm going to see my man and my Cass in less than 24 hours... like, in 22 hours to be exact. I'm not excited or anything. (P.S. That's Cassi's Monkey! Isn't he freakin' adorable?)

I'm having an ugly week... I actually was having an ugly boob day yesterday. How in the hell is that even possible?
With that, I'm out. I've got a TON of girlie prepping to do... Girls, you know what I'm talkin' about!

I promise to take lots of pics this weekend... I've been horrible about taking pics lately... this time, I'm on it. Hope y'all have a fabulous rest of the week!

Only 2.5 More Weeks, Only 2.5 More Weeks...

I've realized, after missing yoga for the last 2 or 3 weeks, I NEED yoga in my life. That is all. I'm at that point again where I have so many things running through my mind, but every time I sit down to write, they escape me. Also, can't seem to remember a damn thing these days, so hopefully the writing bug will come back to me soon! In the meantime, I'd REALLY love for this to be my kitchen. Do you realize that I'd become a gourmet chef if I got to cook in a kitchen like that everyday? Sursly. Make it happen for me, people! And then I'll make y'all dinner, like, every night. News Flash: I came up with a fantastic idea for my friend Kristen and I. We are going to start The Big Girls Itty Bitty Titty Club, for all us big girls out there who have itty bitty titties. Auri likes to argue that my boobies aren't small (and in some circles they wouldn't be considered so), but given my measurements, my tatas are a bit out of proportion. And I know I'm not the only one out there... So, who's with me? A conversation with my mom on the way to the airport yesterday: Mom: Do me a favor? Me: Yes? Mom: Don't cut your hair any shorter. Isn't she sweet? Y'all might think my favorite is the Edward Llama... but in fact, it's the President Obama Llama! And with that, I bid you, adieu my loves! Be back soon with more to entertain you!
