First and for most, thanks to all the people who had been helping me to finish this blog, technically or unofficially. I am not talking about a great deal of team, no I don't need 100 people to write my own reflection on this plain screen. I am talking about my best friend, and my class mates, my family who clearly have no idea that I'd been given a task to write a blog. I am talking about whoever that think I should've mention them.

   in this last week,I learn about the internet applications and internet is popular as business platform which enables us to access to information,resources,persons,business,organizations,application development support,interoperability and communicate with persons,business and organizations.


     next,e-business is the term to describe the information systems and applications that support and drive business process,most often using the World Wide Web while e-commerce is the buying and selling of products using the World Wide Web.Online shopping is about purchasing products or services over the Internet and internet banking (or E-banking) means any user with a personal computer and a browser can get connected to his/her bank's website to perform any of the virtual banking functions.

     besides that,internet known as a social networking site as this is the way people in the 21st century communicates.the online social networking usually involved websites that are known as social sites and this websites function like an online community of internet users.the advantages of online social networking are online community members could share common interests in hobbies,religion or politics and we can socialize with the members such as reading the profile pages of other members and possibly even contacting them besides we can also make friends from all over the world.

assalamualaikum to the followers.........
     
     last post,we knew that there are some things that internet can do for us so this week we still talk about the applications of internet.generally,internet known as a source of information where the main applications that support this role are browsers,world wide web(WWW),search engines and wiki software.the examples of browsers are internet explorer,Netscape,Mozilla Firefox,Google chrome and others.

    in this week,i learn on how to find information in the web,how to use a browser,doing research with Google and so on.I also noticed that wiki is actually one of the most outstanding web-based application been developed and improved using the last decade where the user is capable to create a comprehensive knowledge base or an interactive website on amy personal,corporate or social topic, and share it with the user's community.

     Wiki have give us a lot of advantages such as provides an easy text formatting and docs linking tools.it is also requires only basic programming skills and thus is simple to use and maintain.Wiki are mostly free and open source besides the members can create content(articles,manuals and other documents)independently to each other.Wikis also have broad fields of application.the examples of wiki software are Wikipedia,MediaWiki, TikiWiki, DokuWiki etc.






    during the second session we learn about email starting from how to setting up email,email lists, and telnet and FTP(file transfer protocol).last but not least,in the last session,I realized that internet as a medium of communication such as chat room/instant messaging(IM),internet telephony,Skype,internet forum,VRVS(virtual room videoconferencing system), and podcast(combination of the words iPod and broadcasting)

#internet history

.....hallo guys.....we continue my blog with week 9 which I learn about the history of the internet.


  history of the internet started on mid 1960 until it was completely commercial in 1995.the ARPANET is the US department of defence wanted to develop a computer network that could withstand nuclear attack.

     actually,internet is the connection between many groups.it means that it is the largest network in the world that connects hundreds of thousands of individual networks all over the world.using internet,we can send e-mail messages,send(upload) or receive(down load)files between computers,participate in discussion groups,such as mailing lists and newsgroups, and surfing the web.

    next,I learn that there are seven layers of the OSI(open system interconnection) which are physical,data link, network, transport,session,presentation and application. I also got to know what is hypertext which the example of it are HTTP (hypertext transfer protocol) and HTML (hypertext markup language). then, I learn that web consists of information organized into Web pages containing text and graphic images.



     after that, I learn that Internet Service Provider(ISP) is a commercial organization with permanent connection to the Internet that sells temporary connections to subscribers.in the next session, I learn about internet safety,phishing,spoofing,scams,virus and firewall.

microsoft windows os

     hallo everyone....
  i am sorry for the delay but i forgot to update my blog for last three weeks, hence this is my post for week 5.
in this week,i learn about anatomy of MS Windows OS during the first session.I learn about the history of Windows OS which the latest is Windows 7 in 2009.Windows 7 is the latest version of a series of operating systems that Microsoft has produced for use on personal computers. It is the follow-up to the Windows Vista operating systems which has released in 2006.
       the main elements of Windows 7 is aero view,taskbar,search,libraries and gadgets.during the second session, we learn about the file management since it has efficient file management.I also learn how to finding files and folders.There are four default libraries in Windows 7 which are documents,pictures,music and videos.
      then, in the last session i learn that there is special folder in Windows 7 which define as a folders which are presented to the user through an interface as an abstract concept, instead of an absolute folder path.the main of this special folder are desktop folder,start menu folder and personal documents folder.Here are some common special folders which include application data,cookies,desktop directory, favorites and others.

hallo guys....welcome back.........            nowadays, we always heard about power point but,do we know the exact meaning of it?? hence,according to Wikipedia,Microsoft PowerPoint, usually just calledPowerPoint, is a non-free commercial presentation program developed by Microsoft. It is part of the Microsoft Office suite, and runs on Microsoft Windows and Apple's Mac OS X operating system. The current versions are Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010 for Windows and Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2011 for Mac.power point is important for us to make an impressive presentation as a students, lecturer or any kinds of job in this world.with power point,we can decorate our presentation with a nice theme,animations,design and so on.to make it more interesting,we can insert an image or video as well.
       next, we can record it as a slide show or video as well.we can also insert an audio into our power point to make it more interesting.
   other than that,there are also an options to make a hyperlink and action button to make us easier to go to another slide in a split of second.as usual,by the end of the week we done an activity to give us better understanding about the topics.

this week i come with my knowledge of microsoft excel...have u ever heard about it???




         Microsoft Excel is a proprietary commercial spreadsheet application written and distributed by Microsoft for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications. It has been a very widely applied spreadsheet for these platforms, especially since version 5 in 1993, and it has almost completely replaced Lotus 1-2-3 as the industry standard for spreadsheets. Excel forms part of Microsoft Office. The current versions are 2010 for Microsoft Windows and 2011 for Mac OS X.
    with microsoft excel, we have a cell basics that able use to calculate,analyze, and organize data which includes select cell,insert content and delete cells and cell content.
    we can creating a simple formula with cell references.other than that, we can also create a pivot table to make the data in worksheets much more manageable by summarizing the data and allowing user to manipulate it in different ways.from pivot table also, we can simply get a chart by choosing the right chart.in the last session of the week, we done an activity with this microsoft excel to sharpen our skills.

basic networking concepts is topology (physical layout of the network), protocol (rules in data communication), and architecture (how software and hardware are integrated to form a working).

    3 elements that must exist in data communication are sender, medium and receiver.next,characteristics of data transmission are bandwidth, analog or digital, and serial or parallel (order of bits).

#week 3 : pop quiz

OMG. Today we had pop quiz, and because it was unexpected and everyone was like, staring ay Sis Nissha with jaw open. We barely answer the question at all. It was funny that all of my classmates were hesitated and anxious when Sis Nissha came nearer, I myself were anxious too, but luckily, Sis Nissha help to correct my answer. I was like kyaaa~ thanks ^_^

Sis Nissha seems kind of frustrated that none of us were sure with our own answer, but this help me to open my eyes towards learning ICT, I have to keep myself updated to the notes given, I have to revise all the things I had learnt. Not, you know- be in the class, sleep, and come back pretend like nothing was happen. It is not how you gain knowledge.

#week 2 : number base

i continue with session 3 which i learned about number systems and it is quite interesting since it looks like mathematics and i love mathematics subjects the most.There are 4 number system that i have learned which is decimal,binary,octal and hexadecimal number system.There are 10 numerals in decimal number system which is the values are 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 where the decimal number have a base or radix of ten,written as X10 where the x is any number string.Next,the binary number system uses only two numerals that are 0 and 1.This is the usually number system used in the computer.Octal number system uses eight numerals started from 0 until 7.Lastly,hexadecimal uses sixteen symbols start from 0 until 9 and continue with A,B,C,D,E and F.This is the number system typically used to represent digital data.

#introduction : My first relationship with a computer

It started out at my school, I was in grade 1. I was chosen by my teacher to participate in a cyber-kid club. By that time I wasn’t sure about the club route, for all I know Cyber-kid club sounds kind of fancy and I was chosen to be one of the members, so I couldn’t feel more joy.
Bell rang, my class dismissed, all my classmates were searching for their club teachers for extra-curricular activities that afternoon, including me of course, was the one who was eager to know what was this club all about, with a big bulky bag on my shoulders I climb the stairs to the second floor, our place meeting next to the library.

When I entered the lab, there were about 20 computers arranged neatly on the desks, I was fascinated by the surrounding and I was unconsciously make a silly sound from my mouth- the sound which I usually make when I was fascinated, as I step further, I began to understand that this club is about learning the basic of using a computer on the early age, as it stated on the brochure placed precisely beside the desk.


As the other ‘mesmerised’ student begin to occupy the lab up, our teacher, which is officially the adviser of the club, whom I forgot her name, begin to talk about the importance of technology in our daily life, which I didn’t take any attention at all as my concentrations were all to this, black, extravagant, shiny thing in front of me. FYI that was my first time being THAT close to a robot, and like dawhh ~ of course I was excited.
Our teacher eventually let us touches the computer and let us browses through all the software ourselves and I didn’t spear so much time into clicking the content which attracted my eyes, I had so much fun browsing to the colouring games, taking quizzes and playing sodoku which my teacher had downloaded for us earlier. THAT, was the first time I was able to scent the smell of what you named it as a technology. It was almost 11 years ago.

Today, the same scent fluctuating throughout the atmospheres, I had a chance to deepen something I had learnt at the early age of 7; Information, Communication and Technology. I knew that beneath me there’s always the same girl who was being fascinated by that. I always did J
