Call it global warming, call it freak show. While everyone is buried up to their eyeballs in snow back East, we are in a heat wave.

New Year, New Resolutions

We rung in the new year in Lake Arrowhead. And this is the only pic we got, what were we thinking? Which leads me to our blog and picture resolutions:

1. Update this blog more often, don't expect miracles overnight people....

2. Always carry a charged camera .....Travis, that one is for you!

3. Take more pictures!!!! Look at our main muse, you can never get enough of that face.

Christmas in Ohio, BRRRRR

The pictures speak for themselves. We had a great time and Brant LOVED being with all his cousins! He also loved Christmas trees, particularly the lights. Mimi told him the tree was "pretty" and since then all lights are "prettys". He also had 5 teeth break through on the trip, he's growing and changing everyday.

We thought this was an "ET" finger, we realize he was repeating us saying "you're one!"

Brant's First Birthday Party was celebrated on Dec. 13th at Thunderbird Park near our house. It was a great time with friends and family. Uncle Linc was in from Boston and got to partake in all the fun and even put the little man down at night. Besides being surrounded by all our friends and fam, best part was the taco cart. YUM!

So if you're wondering where all the pictures are from the party (because after all it is a pretty big milestone, right?) Trav assured me the camera was charged and ready to go. It died 10 mins into the party...never trust a man to the important details. Graciously people offered to chronicle the day for us, we just don't have them yet to upload.

p.s. to all you Ohio and East Coasters, the Cali peeps could not believe I was "throwing a party OUTDOORS in DEC. It will be SO cold! "While it was a little cooler that day, the avg for Dec. 13 is a balmy 68 degrees.

I've also included some pics of Brant opening gifts at home on his actual Birthday. He made a dancing stage out of every large box there was.

Thanksgiving!

Brant's first Turkey Day!!!! And his first sleepless night since infancy ( I really can't complain, it had been a while)

Brant loved being around all his California fam and celebrating his first Thanksgiving at Auntie Pam's house. The food was delish as always and the company is always fun. Brant had a great time seeing all everyone and of course the attention! He does love attention, it's like candy.

Of course being the early walker and having the reasoning skills of an 11 month old, he kept Trav and I on our toes. He tried to dive into the fire, couldn't keep his fingers off the appetizers (that he doesn't know how to chew) and oooohhhhh the candles! We're not really sure what happened except 'lil Buddy wasn't put to bed when he likes (6:30, yep 6:30). He was the definition of 'cracked out baby'. It only got uglier from there......

Sadly, in all the hustle and bustle, this is the only pic we got of the night! It's not even a great one. Not a moment to rest or snapshot;)

We are very thankful for all our family! We love you all!

It's in the genes

Brant was not the only Superhero in the family. His cousin Kylie was Supergirl for Halloween. Too bad they live 3000 miles apart, this twosome would be a force to be reckoned with.

No, we didn't plan it: Kylie picked her own costume without even knowing Brant's. And well I think we all know the genius who picked out B's costume.....
