Maine 2015

We recently got back from out annual vacation in Maine. We had so much fun. It just keeps getting better as the kids grow. We had nice weather and tons of family around. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

 

We had some awesome days out on the boat. I recently had surgery on my foot and have three stitches. I had to stay out of the water, but all the boating made it not seem so bad!

 Dillon and Louise had their first ride on the ski-bob. They loved it and it was one of the cutest things I've ever seen.

 Dillon got back onto the boat and said, "THAT WAS AWESOME!"

 We enjoyed the annual golf-cart parade. The cousins participated this year and it was fun watching them drive by.

I tried to get a picture with all of the kids, but it just wasn't happening.

We went boating at sunset to watch the fireworks. There is just no describing how beautiful it is out on the lake at dusk.

 Captain Brian got us there and back safely!

 And the fireworks!! Louise was a little nervous, but was able to unplug here ears about half way through.

 We skipped nap most days during the week and Louise was a tired girl.

Kindergarten Graduation

I LOVE taking pictures on the first AND last day of school. When you see kids everyday it's hard to see just how much they grow. Dillon looked like a baby on his first day!! He's such a BIG KID now!

Dillon's kindergarten graduation was adorable. They sang "You are my Sunshine" and Dillon even got a little certificate. We were proud parents!

New Bedford

Bad Blogger! It's been such a busy summer so far. My opinion may not be popular, but I think it's been a beautiful summer so far.  Mid-high 70's every day with low humidity and beaming sunshine! We've done so many fun things so far. We met a very friendly butterfly:

 I have so many pictures to post, but I will start with our trip to New Bedford to visit my dear friend, Emma. She just relocated to the seaside town popular for its whaling history. Dillon was SO excited to learn about whaling and loved seeing all the big boats. Both kids loved playing at the beach, but Louise didn't remember sand from last year. She insisted that Dillon bury her.

 Dillon LOVED the boats. We saw some jelly fish and shrimp in the water that the kids went nuts for too.

 And we had to take the token giant Adirondack  chair picture!

We went to the information center and watched a 30 minute video on the history of New Bedford. I was worried the kids would be bored, but quite the opposite! They were enthralled! Louise thought it was a movie about pirates and Dillon was so interested in whaling. It was a great way to kick off summer vacation!
