Batman, Cat Woman, and Hello Kitty walk into a church…
Grandma Sarver has once again outdone herself with a Halloween costume for Zoe. If you can’t tell, she is Hello Kitty, and very excited about it.
Batman and Cat Woman look ready for a battle. Hello Kitty tried to be fearsome but you can see how that turned out. We wished we could find bat wings for Zoe. Is the offspring of Batman and Cat Woman a little batcat?
Zoe had to have a chance at being Batman too. She did her awesome Batman voice while it was on too.
My beautiful cats!

A much needed trip.
Sometimes you need a short trip to keep your mind off of the chaos in your life. Brown County was just the place for us last weekend.
Just one of the amazing overlooks at the park.
Playing in the leaves.
The colors were amazing. We spent most of our time there just driving around enjoying the beauty.
Zoe was trying to make the camera smile and we were helping Zoe smile.
Considering we did not do anything other than walk and drive for hours, Zoe did amazing. We have been so blessed with such a wonderful girl.

Flory Camping
Hmm, one is two and the other is really good at acting two :)
Zoe loves getting tossed into the air. “Again Daddy, again!”
Hmm, big difference between a piggy back ride for a toddler and an adult.
The Flory siblings all together again!
Plus parents.
Having a little fun.

Chick-ago
Zoe’s first trip to Chicago! She had a blast as did we all, courtesy of Ilise’s Mom. We had been planning this trip for a long time and were worried we wouldn’t be able to go when she woke up at 3 am and wasn’t feeling well. Luckily, we were still able to catch the 11:15 train. She was terrified of the train at first but quickly warmed up to it as we started moving.
She always looks at the fish at the library so she really enjoyed seeing the fish in a big aquarium.
Luckily this beluga was showing off so Zoe got a great view.
These penguins were fast so it was difficult to get a clear shot but Zoe loved seeing them dart in front of her.
Jellies!! These things are fascinating and very peaceful to watch.
Zoe loves her sea turtles.
Ilise’s friend Maddie came to hang out during our trip.
This was also Zoe’s first time on a boat. She really likes the water and had a lot of fun. Luckily this didn’t terrify her like the train did at first.
A nice view of Chicago from the water taxi.
Zoe is fascinated with water and fountains but is afraid to get sprayed.
She wasn’t too amused with the giant bean so it took a bit of work to even get this family picture.
She did a bit better with Grams though.
She is definitely in her element here. She had a blast running and screaming.

Operation PHILFLY
The day before Father’s Day Ilise decided to surprise me. She made me keep my eyes closed while we were driving and then she walked me out to the airplane where William was waiting when I opened my eyes! That was a big surprise to me because Ilise hadn’t mentioned anything about it or even hinted at it. If you know Ilise and I, then you know we are both awful at keeping secrets from each other including surprises. I had mentioned a few weeks prior that I really wanted to go up in the plane again and somehow Ilise and William made it happen without giving me even a hint. It was a great day. I have the best wife! I also want to thank William for making the day awesome!
The original idea was for it to just be William and me on the flight but when Zoe said she really wanted to go up in the plane and fly he couldn’t resist taking her too. We were worried how she would tolerate it because her last flight to Denver in a commercial airliner didn’t go the best. She did great aside from the noise, which is why there are so many hands covering her ears. After about 40 minutes she took her hands off of her ears and was very happy and curious for the last 20 minutes.
We were able to fly around our house even though we are dangerously close to the Indianapolis International Airport. We were lucky they even let us get as close as we did because we could tell that they didn’t want us in their airspace.
There is our house and tiny little fenced in back lawn, tree, swing set and garden.
Ilise and Zoe are waving at another airplane below us. We got to see several airplanes under us as we flew over Purdue.
