Memorial Day Breakfast (Robert, Keith & Dean)
Dean, Garrett & Keith in MarchThe second week of summer vacation is drawing to a close. This is what we have done so far...
Robert and I planned our summer vacation. We will go to San Antonio to Six Flags and Sea World. We went right before Keith was born with Roberts parents and had a great time.
Last week we completed our swim lessons and Dean has learned to kick and stroke swim. He is even breathing on the side. Garrett loves swimming more than Dean but has not yet learned to side breathe, he still lifts his head out of the water. Garrett still refuses to float on his back. Keith learned to kick and scoop this summer and blow bubbles in the water.
We swam three times this week. I am sunburned in spots on my back where the spray sunscreen didn't reach.
Thursday I mowed the lawn for the first time ever. I purchased a push mower from Home Depot because I wanted a machine I could handle and to top it all off, it's GREEN. That is, good for the environment. It runs on man (woman really) power.
Friday the boys finished a week of sports camp and they loved it. They learned how to play basketball, baseball, and soccer. Garrett said his favorite sport was basketball because you play it inside. Dean loves baseball.
Dean has lost his first two teeth; the front bottom ones. The first one came out at the end of May and the second one came out on Friday.
Keith is still in love with all things Spider man. Sometimes he wants Batman, but that only lasts a minute or two. He asks me all the time if I am happy. He says, "Mom, are you so happy?" He always puts the SO in his question. I tell him yes that I am and he says, "I am so happy too."
AND today I completed my homework for the week and even got to work on scrap booking Dean's baby album. Robert took the boys swimming so I could concentrate.
I have eight weeks of school left. It has been very hard working and going to school, but I am so glad I did it. I will have accomplished a dream I have had for a long time. WOW! I'll have a masters degree in education. Should I go for the Doctorate?!?!?! (Just kidding, I am so ready to be done with school.) But still. . . I would like to get a masters degree in reading instruction. Maybe one day. SMU has a great program and so does TWU.
