Today our baby graduated from Kindergarten. He was so excited.

They sang Days of the Week, Macarena Months, ABC Song, AEIOU Bingo, Apples and Bananas, I Can Spell Cat, This Land is Your Land, and Take a Deep Breath. Then the teachers announced all the kids from there class. Then they sang Love is a Family with sign language. It was awesome. At the end they did a slide show of pictures they had taken through out the year. It was fun to see all the things they did. Payge got to come to his graduation also. So I recorded and she took pictures. She is my little photographer. Such a fun day!!!

Friday the girls baked cookies and Nate was playing with his balloons. All of the sudden he runs into the bathroom and is crying. He calls me in and there is blood just dripping from his little toe. I have him go sit down in the family room and I grab a wet wipe and hold it there. Well I keep holding it there and after a half hour it is still bleeding. While I am holding it I ask him what happens and he kicked a balloon off the paper shredder and caught the plastic. Of course Terry is gone so I do the next best thing, I call my mom. She tells me to take him into the ER. I remember where one is and we head there and it was awesome. No one was there. The dr and the nurse came out and got us. The dr. was really nice and said that it was bleeding to much for stitches and not enough skin left. So he super glued it. We were there for maybe a half hour.  He can only wear flip flops for the next week so he is kind of bugged. He loves to wear shoes.
(The picture doesn't really show how bad the cut really is. It went through about 3 layers of skin.)





 This is saturday. Payge's hair just went really cute so I had to put it in here. She is growing up so fast.

Want to go fishing.....

So yesterday Nate had another awesome story. He started off by getting in the tub with me then, Mom I really want to go fishing. Can we go fishing? Me: Yes Nate we can go fishing but we need to get a lot of stuff like poles, licenses, hooks, bait and find a place to go that we can catch. Nate: No I want to get in a wet suit. A blue one the color of water and a thing that goes over my face so I can breathe and see and them those things that go on your feet. Me: Flippers? Nate: Yes flippers. I want those blue too so when I see the sharks they think I'm water and I can just grab all the fishes I want and then high five a shark. Sound cool? Me: Yeah that sounds real cool. Nate: Ok. So wanna get out of the tub now? I wanna play with my toys. I love being a mom. Kids are so funny!!!!!!!

Awesome Story

So Nate loves to retell a story even if you have been with him all day. So yesterday after school they came home and went upstairs to play. I was in my room lying down for a bit and he comes running into my room then jumps on my bed. Nate: Mom, do you know the real spiderman movie? With the real spiderman's? Me: yes Nate Nate: not spiderman's, umm, oh batmams. Do you know the real batmams movie? Me: yep know that one also (little bugged but listening) Nate: k. You know in the real batmams movie he doesn't have a wife. Me: yep Nate: well in the cartoon one he has a wife. He has a real wife and she's a hottie!! It was the greatest conversation yet. He is awesome!

In February we became proud homeowners. It's in a cute little community. The kids go to one of the best schools in Washington so that made the move a 100x better. Mardi's dad came and helped us move in. Luckily we had the missionaries from the new ward help. One was a player for BYU and so they helped move all the big, heavy things. It was wonderful!

 


In March Terry's parents came up for week. We were tourists for a few days then they became our awesome sitters. Mardi had surgery the last few days they were here and had to stay in the hospital so they took care of the kids. We are so grateful still that they came then and were so willing to help.

In April we were lazy and unpacked and organized the house.

In May we went to a Mariners game. It was so fun. We got amazing tickets that were only 10 rows behind home plate. Before the game Terry took the kids over to right field to shag home runs. They actually caught two so it was a very successful outing!!

So far in June we have been trying to get back to the real life army. Nate had his 6 year old birthday. That's how he kept telling everyone. He was so excited. He shares a birthday with Mardi's mom and so he kept calling her the birthday girl and he is the birthday boy for the whole month. Unfortunately Terry missed it. So lucky boy gets two family birthday parties.

Sorry it has taken so long. Things are just really busy but writing it down it didn't come across. Love life!!! Hope you all are well and happy!! Much love from the Rasch's!

10 YEARS!!

WOW!! The start to an amazing adventure!

All because two people fell in LOVE

And on into ETERNITY we go!

Whoops!!

(I forgot to post on the 18th, so I am doing it two days later.)

On the 18th of January, 2002, I married the man of my dreams. We were young, penny less, pregnant, job less and sort of without a home but luckily we both have wonderful families that helped us out. It was a beautiful day with a ton of snow and I felt like I was in a dream. My whole life when I always pictured my wedding it had snow. (I love snow. The world looks clean and you bundle up and have a great time.) My mom, 2 Aunts and my friend and her mom all helped me get ready. The only thing that I was nervous about was my dad and I had to walk down stairs in front of everyone and I was so afraid that I was going to fall down. When we walked down the stairs, my dad kept whispering "I've got you, don't worry it will be alright." It always has been. When we got to the bottom I finally saw Terry and he looked so handsome. There was a huge window behind him and so he looked like he was floating. It was awesome. I have no idea what the bishop said but when he said "You can kiss your bride" I was so excited! Ten years later I still feel that way when I see him. We have had an exciting, hard, fun, scary, and wonderful marriage. He truly is my best friend and a wonderful person. I am so lucky to call him my husband. I hope the many millennium to come with him are as wonderful and hard as these ones have been. I am so happy to have a wonderful family!! Thank you for being my eternal companion and for putting up with all my weirdness's! I love you so much Terry!!!!!!!

You Know You're a Military Spouse When....

You Know You're a Military Spouse When....



-Someone asks when your Spouse will be home, you say July or August instead of 5 or 6pm.
-You live on your own and by yourself more after you're married than before you were married.
-You know all of your Spouse's co-workers by their last name...and rarely know their first name. ... ......
-You say "I'm going to the commissary" instead of "grocery store".-You need your I.D to buy groceries.
-You really want something but you say , "well I'm going to have to wait for the 1st or 15th for it ".
-Half of your wardrobe has some kind of Military insignia on it and once belonged to your Spouse.
-The sounds of helicopters, and Jets flying over your house shaking your windows, surprisingly soothes you!
-Your Spouse's work and dress clothes cost more than yours do. -You only write in pencil because EVERYTHING is subject to change.
-You know that a 2 month separation IS short, no matter what your civilian friends say.
-You know better than to go to the commissary between 11:30 and 1:30 or on a payday unless it's a life or death emergency.
-You know that any reference to "sand box" describes a deployment to Afghanistan, not your kid's backyard toys.
-You don't have to think about what time 21:30 is.
-You pick apart uniforms on TV and in the movies for being inaccurate with your Spouses'.
-You are asked to stop talking in acronyms and translate it all to English
-When your Spouse says they get to "Sleep In" and is referring to 6:30.
