2 month break is better

So I still haven't been real regular in the posting department but 2 months is better than the 8 previous.

So since the middle of February what has happened?  EVERYTHING!!! I swear I life is nonsense.

Here we go!

Not sure what this was about but I found this picture on my phone.

Al got new glasses.

This is Falcor our new car.
My Mazda that I bought back in the day of 2001 bit the dust.  She served us well for many years.

Went to Ikea and bought and built a dresser for Peanut

Al learned how to tie her shoes.

Went to Tri-Cities in mid March for Uncle Garrets wedding.

Here are all the little kids that were in the family.
Ally, Kenna, Mailey, Arianna the bride, Bennett, Garret the groom, Carys, 2 cousins of Arianna and then Jared.

The girls helped decorate their van for departure.

Ally dancing with Daddy

Back at home I tried to fix the washer.
The old belt was just a bit ruined.

Aaron was able to get the new belt on and we are back in business

Carys had her skating test day and she passed with flying colors.
In fact she passed her class and the next one too.

As soon as she finished her skating we headed to the Ocean for Easter

Look at that face!

Easter bunny did it again.
I don't know how he does it, but he delivers goodies and hides eggs while we all sleep in the same room.

Came home to some sun!

Found this beast of a spider in the garage and almost poo'd myself.
With the help from my little minions we were able to spray it to death and then Carys stood on it. Love her for her braveness.

PINEWOOD DERBY!
Daddy is hardly home due to crazy work schedules so we invested in Papa to help with carving and helping with the car. Papa has all sorts of cool and older tools that you can't get anymore.  They were HIS grandpas.  His grandpa was a carpenter.

Love it
They got the shape and then sanded on the deck for a while.

My Dad and my boy!
More on pinewood derby in a bit...

While we were at my parents I borrowed a pressure washer for our back patio. It was a mossy mess.
I wasn't warned that I would need to shower once finished.

Such a cute girl

My littlin' can't play T-ball this year.  She isn't in kindergarten yet, but that isn't keeping her from practicing.

It pollened.  It pollened a lot.

Back to the derby...
Once Dad and Jared got the shape and Jared finished sanding it smooth Aaron and Jared got to painting it to Jared's liking.
First silver

Then adding tape for stripes the painted it red.
Back to the car again in a while.  I am going in order of how things went.

We have a fire pit and wood.
We also had marshmallows, chocolate and grahams.
SO we made....

S'mores!

S'mores

and more S'mores.
It was fun and no one got hurt or burned.

Couple Mondays ago Carys started her next round of skating.
Green group this time.
SHE LOVES SKATING!
Everyday she asks, "How many days until skating?"

Besides skating she loves peanut butter and pickle sandwiches.
This particular day she made it herself.
1 piece of bread with 10 pickles.

Pinewood derby day!!!!
Here is his final car!
Also 2 containers of cookies for the day.

Getting ready for the first race!
Look at the faces of Papa and Jared.
So serious.  It was fun that some family could come and watch.

The boy on the right of Jared ended up being the competition.

Jared did so well. He won every single race except for 2.  He kicked MAJOR butt!
He ended up in 2nd place
He did so well that 3 people including the Bishop and the Dad of the boy who ended up it 1st place, doesn't even know how Jared didn't win. They both said Jared was robbed.  Oh well, I didn't say that to Jared because he had a blast!

Jared ended up with 2nd Place
Best paint job
and a patch
Another Pinewood derby in the books.
Another great experience that I am glad he was able to be apart of.

The weather has been so nice lately that we have spent a lot of time outside. We have found a couple new favorite parks.

This last week Jared and Ally started baseball again.
Year 5 for Jared

Year 3 for Ally

Last week we also went on a field trip with friends who home school as well.

Poor Jared was amongst allergies everywhere we went but he did well. Just didn't touch the horses and cow and tried to stay away from the hay as much as possible.

This is Jake

The field trip was to a pioneer village.
They got to dress up and try things that the pioneers use to do.

Shaving

"Blacksmithing"

milking

They had a great time.

We are now up to date.
We have had so much going on but this is the positive, fun things that we have enjoyed.  I am choosing to try to forget the negative and remember the fun.
