Lollipop
THANKS GRANDPA! I LOVE IT!
My dad would always bring RJ a dum-dum sucker every night from work when we lived there. So RJ was thrilled when Grandpa sent him the traditional dum-dum, plus the HUGE sucker!
He was blown away with how huge it was.
He wanted to open it himself.
He doesn't lick it, but tries to fit the whole thing in his mouth...
...which is why it didn't take too long to have white dried sucker all over his face.
I guess it'a actually a giant jawbreaker on a stick.

I caught RJ with a genuine real smile. He's getting so big, he'll turn 3 in 3 months.
Followed by a really intense fake smile.
Glimpse of his new life... Thomas and Percy the trains.
Just thought this was cute, and made me realize I need to be better about lotioning his cheeks.

RJ's faces
I was taking pictures and RJ would tell me an emotion, pose, then want to see the picture.
Here's the photoshoot.
SAD:
MEAN:
I CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT HE SAID THIS WAS:
HAPPY:
This is his fake smile. Whenever I take a picture of him and tell him to smile, this is what we get. Pretty funny.
This last one he said: "I'm Dace!" then stuck his fingers in his mouth.
Dace is his cousin who sucks both fingers like that, apparently all the time.

Bedtime Stories
RJ likes books.
Lately the Berenstain Bears.
My mom gave us her old copies, and a few I wrote my name in the front as a kid.
His favorites lately are:
The Spooky Tree and Bears in the Night.
The Spooky Tree and Bears in the Night.
I think he likes the scarier stories.

Guy Time
RJ watching Aristocats with his Papa in our bed, and giving me the "get out of here" look
He has loved puzzles lately, and I've helped him do this Aladdin puzzle so much I hid it. But Rhett was still fresh.
RJ thinks phones are just had held games. Or at least Rhett's phone is just games.

Insulated Coveralls...in August
Rhett's sister dropped off a bag of hand-me-downs. I was putting things away, and hung these awesome coveralls (which are huge on him 6T size) in his closet, along with the snow boots.
A while later he came down dragging everything, wanting to wear the boots and coveralls.
He wanted to play outside, and it was hot.
He had brought with him the tiny red christmas ornament mitten (to wear) and needed another glove for the other hand, and was satisfied with a huge gardening glove. All set to walk around the yard for a good 40 min. before he got too hot.
Talk About Relaxed
He often sleeps with his hands behind his head. Or he rides in his carseat with hands behind his head.
Reminds me of when Herschel was little.
Airplane
For the 24th of July I took RJ to the Navy Blue Angels air show.
He loved the planes parked as we walked in.
