Why it's called Mother Nature

It was raining...Oh Brother where "Ark" thou??

Then when I looked out the window it was NOT raining, the sun was finally out after days of constant rain.

Then 20 minutes later it was back to raining cats and dogs...

Believe it or not but this bucket didn't start out with any water in it.

At the front of the house the ground slopes toward the front window, and every time it rains it pools there, and on Sunday the water was so high it was up over the sidewalk.

She's been as moody as a Mother on PMS.

Makayla's Christmas program

This is the last year that Makayla will do a Christmas program and I wanted to get some video but I was holding Mason and sitting in the very back, so what does that equal?? A very wiggly movie. She practiced her songs everyday and she did a great job! Garrett would clap so loud that he would hurt his own hands. Afterwards they had a class party with lots of yummy treats and she even gave some to her brothers.

Garrett's Christmas program

Garrett has his Christmas program today and wasn't shy and sang really loud. He was so proud of himself for doing it all and singing so everyone could hear.

Eli was able to sneak away from work for a few minutes to watch Garrett's program.

Miss Heather, the best teacher in the whole world!! Garrett just loves her and her Drew. Great job today Garrett!!

Best Buds

Gavin and Mason had snack time together. Well...since Mason can now pull himself up to everything and get Gavin's crackers, Gavin monitored the intake and fed him...he's such a good boy. I really hope they stay best friends as they get older.

Attic Hatch

Eli's been wanting an attic hatch that he could attach in the garage and one that had stairs so he wouldn't have to bring the ladder into the house to get my holiday stuff all year long. Well we finally did it. We went to Lowes and special ordered one and 3 days later we found one a quarter of the price on craig's list. Thank goodness for craig's list!!

I like this one...where's his head? It's nice for him and it's easy access up and down. We have big dreams, I know ;)

Croquet

The proper way to play croquet ;) Man I love this kid! Watch out ladies he will break your heart.

Ward Christmas Party

I took the kids to the ward Christmas party sans Eli (works always gets in the way of fun). All the primary kids were to sing a song, but Garrett choose not to so Kayla braved it alone and sang a great song.

I really didn't think the kids would eat dinner, but Gavin ate 7 pieces of ham and didn't touch his roll which isn't like him at all...I was proud.

Waiting in line for Santa...it was a loooong wait.

I figured that Gavin would freak out but I didn't know what Mason's reaction would be...

I think it's a cute picture. Merry Christmas everyone!!

Standing and Pulling

He thinks he's a big boy now and loves his new found freedom. I hate that he's growing up so fast :(

I love this one because his little tongue is sticking out and he's trying so hard to pull himself up into the chair.

Crawling & Climbing

Well he's finally done it, Mason now climbs on everything! He no longer army crawls and has found that up on his hands and knees he goes so much faster. He loves my treadmill and taught himself to crawl on top of it. Way to go little buddy.

First Christmas

This is Mason's first Christmas and he loves all decorations, especially the ones that light up.
I put this Santa hat on him and he freaked out big time, but I made him leave it on for a picture and all I got was tears.

This is Mason's classic face for everything.

Eating the ornaments

A semi decent looking picture. I can't wait for Christmas morning with Mason, and I'm sure he won't care about a single gift. :)

Candy trees

For our first Christmas craft we decorated sugar cones into Christmas tree's of candy. They frosted them and then layered them with sour tape and gum drops. Then devored en'...yum!

Makayla's letter

A few weeks ago Makayla wrote a letter to Santa, well Santa wrote back and she was filled with joy!! Today Makayla wrote Santa another letter...here it is.

Oh Santa, I want to tell you that when you come to our house, come down the chimney, there is a glass of milk and cookies for you Santa. I am going to write you a song: Up on the house top reindeer paws out jumps good ol' Santa clause, down through the chimney with lots of toys all for the little ones Christmas joys...ho ho ho you wouldn't go...ho ho ho you wouldn't go up on the house tops click click click down through the chimney with good saint nick.

And the apple is for Rudolph the red nose reindeer and I almost forgot to tell you Santa that you can get us stuff for our stockings.

Merry Christmas Santa

Your friend

I saw this on a friends post and I have to post this for you all...This is the best!!

Decorating the Christmas tree

This year we decorated our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day. We had our Turkey dinner on Wednesday so we got a jump on our Christmas. Eli had to work, but was able to come home for an hour to eat some leftovers and help with the tree. The kids love this part, and I despise this part, I would rather do everything else then fluff the tree and decorate it. The kids did a great job and they are in a Christmas/Santa craze everyday.

Tongue Time

Mason has discovered his tounge and does some amazing things with it. His favorite thing to do is put his lips together and say "OH" over and over. I had to get some pictures of some of the things he does with this tongue. He's also learning how to mimick the kissing sound and to give me kisses :)

Thanksgiving

I'm a little behind but better late then never. We had a GREAT Thanksgiving and lots of food. It was just us this year since Eli had to work, but we still had a good time.

These are some of the crafts that the kids did during Thanksgiving break.

This is after dinner, we hardly ate anything and we didn't even snack while making the dinner. Eli and I were surprised that we hardly touched the food and vowed to make substantially less next year.

This is right before we dug in. I am Thankful more and more everyday for my great family!! Happy Thanksgiving.
