Solo and Ensemble!

Today was Solo and Ensemble Festival!! Besides having to wake up early and driving an hour away, its worth it. I performed a piano solo-it was a sonatina- and was going to do a french horn duet but poor Carlee was very sick. the piano solo went okay, I was totally freaking out though, which affected my whole piece! I was so extremely nervous I had to go take a walk with my dad before I could breath again! My judge turned out to be my old neighbors grandson! What a coincidence! I got a 1! But I wish I would have done better, if I wasn't so nervous it probably would have gone better!

But, I practiced a ton and did my best, so that's all I really needed to do! (and i still go a medal!)
Oh and to make the whole day better, me and my mom went out for sushi and shopping!! So fun (and yummy!)

Have a wonderful day! (even though its raining!)

MEAP testing!

For the past 4-5 years, when ever I think of October only one thing pops up in my mind (except Halloween) The MEAP test. Yup, its the most powerful way to drain every bit of happiness from students. In the hallways, nobody's smilin, because we all know we have a 5 minute break, and its more MEAP testing!! Okay, maybe its not that bad, but it sure feels like it!!!!
I'm just soooooooooooooooo glad its over! Well, good news! My foot has been healing wonderfully and I can do way more things than I could before! Finally!

Have a WONDERFUL DAY!

Back in to a Routine

Yup, I can hardly believe it but school has been going very well! I have friends in all of my classes (except for computers), like all of my teachers, and am for the most part doing well in class!

I love being organized and having a direct routine, I am always struggling to find out whats going on if I don't have a schedule planned out already! So I enjoy getting into that normal routine of knowing what to do and doing it over and over until it becomes natural for me!

School is fun! Weird I know but I like seeing friends and learning new stuff!

Have a great day, tessa

Seriously, couldn't it have been pink or some cool color???

Well I guess complaining won't help anything!!

First Day of School 101

Hey! Today was the first day of school!!! I guess you could say it was a 'normal' first day. You go to the gym and listen to teachers talk about the same rules you've been hearing and hopefully following for the past like 8 years, listening to the principal tell you where to go and what to do...blah...blah....blah! Its the same speech EVERY year! but today was the first time I have been the Oldest in the school! I transfered before I could be the oldest! Okay heres how my day went:

1. go to the gym and listen to the boring speech.

2. go to my advisory, and write a stinkin ESSAY about my self (ya three whole paragraphs on the first day!!!)

3. go to my fourth hour class, which is American History with Mr. Tripp who I think I will really like even though I hate history! (so borring)

4. go to fifth hour class, English, I am not really a fan of Mrs. Mckenney but I think I'll surive! ( I hope!) oh we played a 'game' about something that most people don't know about you, it was really borring

5. go to my 8th hour class, science, I love the teacher, Mrs. Kiebler (aka Kieb) She is my cross country coach, and now science teacher, love her!!

6 Go to my 9th hour class, Math, love the teacher, Mrs. Stoddard, but think I am going to fail it because I am soo terrible at math!!

7. go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yay!!!

Today we didnt go to any elective classes (mine are : Band, Computers, and Jazz Band!) because it was only a half daay.

Well, I think it was a great start to the school year!! Oh I am nervous for picture day because my school pictures are always terrible!

~tessa ps heres a picture of me and my sister Brooklyn on the Bus! sorry its blury! the bus was moving!

Back to School!

Last night was back to school night! It was fun to see friends for the first time since last year! It was fun to talk to teachers from last year but I was a little nervous to meet my new teachers! Thankfully I liked all my teachers and think this is going to be a great year! I was looking forward to getting my locker combination so I could practice it because I STINK at memorizing combinations! Oh, well!

Have a great LAST week of summer!
