When I was little, I used to bring home salamanders, fireflies, snails, caterpillars, tadpoles, crickets, homegrown ant farms--and my mother let me keep all of it. In the house. She may have drawn the line at Crystal's bucket of earthworms. Oh how it's hard growing up and leaving the creatures outside. :)
