Movie NIght

Corbin has been a big Madegascar fan for a very long time. So we decided to take him to see the new movie at the theatre. He did great and he loved it. We'll have to go again sometime.
Lately Carter has been putting himself in "TIME OUT" It is really funny. He sees Corbin doing it quite frequently and thought that it must be something fun. As soon as I say "time out" (usually I am talking to Corbin who is running the opposite direction) Carter runs over to the wall and sticks his little nose in the corner. Then he will look up at me with a big grin on his face
Styl'n! Showing off the new fad, upside down shades
Corbin is SOooooo excited to have my family coming to visit. He asks me every day, "Is grandma coming today?" So I finally had him help make a chain to count down the days. I was going to make it go until at least Christmas and maybe as long as January when Andrew's parents are coming, but this one took us long enough.Playing in the dirt. What Corbin would do all day long. I let Corbin go outside today-Sunday. I found him rolling in the dirt in his Sunday clothes. That's what I get I suppose.
Carter's new word "Uh oh!" He thought he was helping mommy cook.
Noodle Nose
Carter does not say a lot of real words. He speaks Carter'ine. I usually can figure out what he wants. We have not been very good at teaching him sign language either but he does know a few signs. He doesn't show them off very well in this movie, but it was a cute clip

Twilight Premiers

We had a Girls Night Out to go see TWILIGHT. We tried to go to the midnight show on Thursday but it had sold out long before. We went on Friday. There was a group of about twenty, most from church and a few other friends. We even managed to all sit together. I don't think I have had a night like this for far to long. I had a blast. I really loved the Movie too. I've heard a lot of complaints. I didn't have any expectations and I've only read the book once a long time ago with Andrew mocking it the whole time. So the movie really got my adrenaline going. I want to reread the book now so I can compare everything again.

I was disappointed with most of the actors when I first saw them, but I warmed up to them more throughout the show. I didn't really expect the vampires to live up to expectations. I actually thought they did a good job with the Cullens.

I'm not great for giving movie reviews, but I thought it was good. I liked it.
Before the Movie our Stake sponsered an Adult Dance for Marrieds and Singles. We went to that first. It was a fun date night.

Dew Berry Farm

First of November we made a trip to Dew Berry farm with some friends. They have a barn with lots of animals you can pet. We even got to see how to milk a cow
Carter had a huge smile when he got to touch the horses nose
The baby chicks were so cute and fluffyThis is my friend Tracy and her girls Adrienne and Honor
We are going to miss them when they move next month
The goats were outside. You put goat food in a little cup and turn a wheel which carries the food to the top of a ramp and dumps it in a bowl. All the goats try to rush up the ramps to get the food. It was pretty funny
He's a big pig, you can be a big pig tooAttacking geese: These geese were so mean. While we were there they attached a little girl who looked Carter age. . Her mom was far enough away she couldn't stop them fast enough before they were pecking her all over. I ran over to help and nearly got bit myself. So don't get to close to the geese and watch out on to your kiddos. They had a fairly large garden with lots of flowers. The kids were not really into getting their pictures taken
The sunflowers were big and beautiful
This animated Chicken Show was pretty cute. The babies were dancing along to Old MacDonaldWhile waiting in line for the Go Carts (which was a failure, kids couldn't reach the pedals)
we found this long black tube. The kids sat inside while we rolled it around. They loved it!The giant Bouncy PillowCuddling under the haystack
All the school groups had left the farm, but they were nice enough to give us one last ride on the train. Corbin couldn't miss out on that.
We went on the giant slide over and over. It was bumpy but really fun. I didn't notice that my cell phone had slipped out of my pocket while going down the slide until we were all packed in the car and driving away. I had no idea where I lost it. Tracy stayed with my car while I ran back to look. I said a prayer while I was running. The farm was huge and we had been everywhere. I went to check the picnic tables first. I could hear a faint sound and followed it here under the slide where it was hiding. I would never have looked there. Having Tracy with me to call it was a big help, but even with that It was a miracle I found it and so quickly.

New Addition to our family

Andrew promised he was getting me a pet for my birthday this year. I love animals. I was hoping for a kitten, or a bird, a rat or a bunny a snake or maybe something like that. My birthday came and went and he never got me my pet. So my good friend Teasha came over with her aquarium and all her stuff and is letting us borrow it until we move. We have not had much success with it yet. Three of four died the first week. We got two more and another one died today while he was playing in the pumps current, as they all love to do. I guess it got the better of him, he spun out of control, hit his head on the wall, had a concussion and died. Poor little guy.
Corbin's legs are finally long enough to ride his Big Wheel by himself. YEA!

Water Fun

We really enjoy Texas winters. It is just perfect outside. We have occasionally dips into the 60's. But we usually manage just fine. The boys love playing outside. Especially with the hose. I have a fun video of Carter watering the Aloe Vera plants. Although he was drenched, he was pleased at doing it all by himself. He loves to be independent.

We've been dog sitting Cougar this weekend. I was giving Kaydee a bath and Cougar just had to be in on the fun. He ended up getting washed too. He enjoyed himself in the water Much, much more than Kaydee does. He was not to thrilled once I actually started washing him, but he and Corbin had so much fun with the hose.
