Thanksgiving with Engar Family

A typical Engar-type Thanksgiving celebration--chimes and all! The only thing missing was 2/3 of our own family. We missed you. A lot.

No camera!!

The recent dearth of blogs is due to the breaking of my fairly new camera. I dropped it while loading things into the car at St. George and it won't do anything I want it to do. Trip to Costco today for another one!!

Caught up--finally!!!

We hosted 2 Argentine Special Olympians for almost a week. Leo and Raul were as nice as could be. It was busy but worthwhile. They went on to Boise for the Olympics.

Hawaii

We love Maui!!
Mama's--a great restaurant
The coolest pool we've ever seen--looks like an extension of the ocean
Our favorite perch and the view from our balcony

New Year's Day, Ute fans

Tubing at Soldier Hollow on New Year's Day--a great time. Stephensons were on the hill too, but we didn't see them once! How can that happen?

Flu, Webkinz, train fun and New Year's Eve

Christmas doings

We hosted a student from Japan who lived in the dorms. Her name is Ai and she's gone now to do an internship in Vancouver. She came to dinner a few times and was darling.
Some shots of the Warner extended family Christmas party held on the 23rd at our stake center.

November visit to Appleton, no pictures

I still can't believe I forgot my camera when I went to Appleton to help with baby Lucy. The visit was wonderful--time with those great Stephenson girls was priceless and a new baby made it all the more precious. But...no pictures:(

Here are a few happy fans enjoying some hot chocolate after the spanking the Utes gave BYU Nov. 22.

Cupcake shower, Grace is 23, November hike

We had a shower for Anne Linton in August. We served cupcakes and fruit. The flowers were all from our garden. I especially loved the red dahlias.
Grace turned 23, with the favorite birthday cake.
Steve took a day off in November. It was unusually warm so we went on a hike up to the "living room." He brought his cell phone
along and of course ended up
working!!

A Visit to Houston

The first of September, I flew to Houston to stay with Annie and Romney while S and C went to Mexico. I've never been anyplace so hot AND humid. First thing, we visited Stephen at his office. The next day, I was on my own. Annie went to her first day of school while I was there. I only got lost while driving once. Annie sleeps all over the top and bottom of her bed. We went to the park by the knitting store many times because we liked the swings there the very best--they are big so you can swing REALLY high!

Hiking the Tetons

In August, we hiked in the Tetons with Mike and Joan Madsen and Don and Dana Gull. Bill and Jan Evans were there, too but didn't do this hike with us. We started on the Idaho side (Driggs), hiked up the Fox Creek trail and came down Death Canyon into Teton Village. It was an all day, spectacular hike. Wild flowers of all colors were up to our shoulders. It was a rare opportunity and we so appreciated being included. The Madsens hosted us in their incredible house in Driggs.

Summer 08 visitors

So, it's been so long that I can hardly know where to start. Here is a collection of random pictures from the last 7 months.
