Road Trip 2009 "Camping at Kim & Mike's"

We left Mom and Dad's and went to Kim and Mike's on Friday. Got there around 5, and Mike lead me out to where we were camping. It had rained alot there too, so there was a lot of mud, and some REALLY big puddles. Mike was on the 4 wheeler with Gabe, and he drove through this one HUGE puddle. Gabe had to put his feet up so they didn't get wet. I stopped, honked, and gave Mike the "Am I suppose to go through that?" look. He waved me through, with a smile on his face, ( I should've known). I proceeded through the puddle, pushing water with my front bumper...I got through, looked at Mike, and he was laughing hysterically. Grrrrrrr. So, the rest of our trip, the car was painted red on the bottom.....I still don't think it is all off now.

The first thing Hailey did when she got there....was check out the lake, of course. She came back up the hill looking like this.

We cooked hotdogs over the fire, and enjoyed the pretty sunset.

Kim and Mike had some sparklers with them....the kids got to light them and do light shows for us. It was so pretty.

Vicki, Glenn and the kids got there later in the evening on Friday.....of course, they got led around the HUGE puddle. Yes, there was a way around....thanks Mike! Vicki and I got to talk by the fire for a while.....it felt good to visit with her and everyone else.

The next morning we woke up to this.....ahhhhhhh. Pretty Minnesota.

Mike went to get the boat, and the kids were so excited for the adventure ahead.

Hailey was one of the first to go on the tubes....little did she know what was in store for her on these crazy things.

And there off!

Whew.....that was fun....and can you believe....she wanted to do it again. Crazy girl!

Gabe was very content to just ride in the boat.

Kim and Katelynn decided to give it a try. Mike went really fast and drove really crazy for them.

I got a video....but they were going sooo fast it doesn't show much.

And there's Decoy, who eats sad innocent birds, "ah hum", that I fed him?

Sorry again....I still feel really terrible about that.



Sorry Rocko! I hope you are flying free in heaven with Jet!

Oh my gosh.....this was about the funniest thing during the entire trip. Wow....he looks so happy on that little 4 wheeler, doesn't he? Yah....watch the video. So funny....Glenn, I love you for making me laugh...thx.

Road Trip 2009 " Hanging out at Papa & Grandma's house"

We had lots of fun at Papa Bob and Grandma Judy's house. We hung out with Andy, Anna, Eric, Alex, Ryleigh, Danny, Andrea, & Mya on Sunday afternoon. The kids jumped on the trampoline, and the grown-ups visited. Oh yah, and ate french toast....mmmmmm!

Then when it stopped raining...it rained for like 3 days, Papa took Hailey and Gabe to find cool rocks, and go exploring on the 6 wheeler. The kids had been waiting for that ever since Utah.

And yes, we came home with 2 ice cream buckets full of "VERY COOL ROCKS, Mom"

We took Toby swimming, but he wouldn't go.....weird!

Then Hailey and Gabe went exploring on their own, after we worked in the garden picking beans for Papa. They took the camera with them, and found some very cool mushrooms to take some pictures of. I want to make a collage of them and hang them on the wall. They are some really neat photos. The lighting is great!

Eric brought his scriptures to church for 3 months straight, so he got a special reward. He chose miniature golfing, but, because of the rain, bowling was the next option. He invited Hailey and Gabe to go with him, and of course I had to tag along to catch some pictures. Karen Strege was sooooo nice to do this for all of us, and WAY TO GO ERIC! for bringing your scriptures!

Shelly Hauser came over to visit too! She drove from Virginia....just to see us! How sweet! Same old Shelly, I love her. We got to meet her adorable little daughter, Amelia, and Tina's son, Gavin too! He and Gabe really hit it off.

I don't know why I don't have any pictures of Mom.....I gues she was up to her elbows in peaches and green beans. Canning with you, was lots of fun, Mom!!!
