I've got a full plate today so I'm happy that I got a minute to squeeze this in. These are all available in the shop right now (click the images) if you want them. I haven't decided if they're will be more of these designs or not. Definitely limited edition though!

Create 365 - Day 143 to 147

I haven't been able to post daily, obviously, but I'm still going with my 365! Here are the latest additions...

Day 143
Here's the finished draft of the Bodice Front of the base pattern pieces I've been working on for myself. I forgot how involved this part was! I even started over at one point instead of backtracking a mistake. Whew! I was a bit rusty but I got my groove back.

Day 144
Here are some Circle Skirt drafts. They could be used as two different sized skirts but together they are the front and back for a 50s style swing dress.

Day 145
Circle skirt! Peachy, isn't it? I couldn't resist. I need more fun circle skirts in my wardrobe. They're very versatile, casual or dressy depending on what you wear them with, and just plain cute.
I tried to snap a pic of me wearing it but the lighting was horrible. Maybe another time. Seeing it on a hanger just doesn't do it justice.

Create 365 - Day 138 to 142

Getting back into the swing of things slowly but surely. Just because I haven't posted doesn't mean I haven't created!

A loaf of bread from a different recipe than the last one.

 

Obviously it is delicious because half of it was gone before I remembered to take a pic.
Protip: Microwaves double as a decent bread box if you don't have one.

Day 140
A cotton face mask for when I have to deal with stinky things like cat boxes or bug spray.

And, last but not least, I am finally giving in and drafting a bodice sloper (a template to work off of) in my current size. I'm tired of looking at pretty dresses I can't afford or that are way too small for my curvy self.

 

This is the bodice back piece. The front piece will be coming along shortly. And, I'll need to redraft a circle skirt too but that's the easiest of the bunch.

Alright, well, a short sleep is in order and then it's back to work for this batling! I'll be making french toast with the homemade bread and then I've got that drafting to finish.

Create 365 - Day 109, 110 & 111

So I may have fallen asleep before posting my 365. Twice. Oopsie!

Here are not one but 3 Grumpy Nekos --the center one is from Day 108 but it looks so cute with it's clones I had to included it again-- and an origami lotus.

These will be listed sometime this week along with the Halloween Batling.

One more little detour before diving into the next chibi adventure.

Hmm, This Grumpy Neko doesn't seem real pleased with the prospect of more clones. Well, too bad, Grumpy Neko! You can say "no" all you want but It's gonna happen.

Side note: Bet you didn't know that it takes 13 hand cut, and hand sewn, pieces to make each one. Yup. 17 parts total, if you include the beads, ribbon loop and ball chain.

Amongst the mundane, but necessary, hausfrau duties I finished another Grumpy Neko today...

Now on to a slew of chibi dolls. One of which will be a completely new design and top secret for a little while.

I fell asleep on the couch before I got around to posting, oops! It's all good, that's what backdating is for, after all. So, where were we... oh yes, I completed another Grumpy Neko. Don't start a staring contest with her. You will lose.

They are taking over the world, one Grumpy little Neko at a time.

I've got a few suggestions to continue my 365 with but the suggestions are welcome anytime. Maybe the next creature I stitch up will have been inspired by you!

Create 365 - Day 72

I spent some time cutting out various Nekos. I was going to start on another Nyanpire but then I received an order for a Grumpy Neko, and orders come before play.

This one is extra grumpy. Look at that frown! My-my, someone must have piddled in her kibbles by the look on that face.

Next up, a black & white Grumpy Neko and that purple winged Nyanpire I've been trying to finish over the last few days!

Create 365 - Day 69

It's Grumpfest up in here! Here's the Grumpy Kitten Plush I finished.

She'll be listed, along with the headbands from yesterday, as soon as I have a minute for decent photos.
Another is on it's way to completion, but not until after I finish up a made-to-order Grumpy Neko Keychain Plush Charm. See? Grumpfest!

Grump-tastic...

Told ya it was going to be a few days worth of grumpness.

I'm totally sore from helping a friend move house but wide awake since I slept for hours after we got home. So, stitch on I shall! I might even be able to share the secret chibi, from last week (or was it the week before?), tomorrow.

Create 365 - Day 66

I got an order for a Grumpy Neko so I stitch one up today. I also whipped up a batch of Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies and cut out pieces for a couple of fleece plush.

"Is that what I think it is? I hate it."

"I (h)ate your cookies, too."

Well, apparently the Grumpy Neko doesn't approve but what can you do? She doesn't like much of anything. Except the cookies. I'm pretty sure she's been eating them.

Create 365 - Day 56

Once again, so much I can't post yet and a few things being worked on at the same time.

Above is a pile of patterns in envelopes to keep their small pieces from wandering off, a couple of Black & White Grumpy Cats waiting to be sewn, and an origami butterfly (apx 2.5" at the widest). Other pieces off-camera and wailing for my attention.

I've been pondering over and fiddling with a custom chibi today but on my breaks I've finished another Grumpy keychain plush. This one seems to have a serious WTH? look to it, I think. Love it!

Create 365 - Day 53

I've been working on all sorts of things today that I can't really post about like patterns and custom designs . No fair, I know. Also photo edits, listings and other things on the "boring" side of my business.

All I can give you today is a tiny peek at a couple things I'm working on simultaneously and a neat little origami dragon (follow the link to try it yourself).

I'll have to try this origami dragon again sometime. I'm not *quite* happy with the bottom jaw. Still, not an easy fold and only 3.5" long when finished. I like it.

Create 365 - Day 51 & 52

I'm back, batlings! The last few days have been... something. I'm still not 100% but definitely feeling functional, so to pick up where I left off in my 365, here is the proof:

Day 51 (Feb 28th)

Greyson Zoolander Derptastic the Third is not sure what he thinks of our newest kitty. Grumpy Kitten obviously could care less. [NFS, mine!]

Day 52 (Mar 1st)

Yes, another Grumpy Kitten Plush! This one was feeling a bit sullen and decided to have a lie-down. Still, isn't she adorable with her hand stitched face and giant kittenish ears? She is approximately 10" tall (ears to toes) with a 7" arm span.

She's already reserved but I'll be making more so keep your pantaloons on. I've got custom orders that have been waiting for me to get well enough to finish them. Those come first.

 

Not sure how people who do a continuous, unbroken 365 manage it. Life just loves to throw random monkey wrenches into the works. But, this is my 365, with my "rules", so I'm just going to keep on keeping on!

Create 365 - Day 45

Well, apparently our princely little Jackalope has siblings since one turned up today to wish the other bon voyage. Also, Grumpy Cat is back but doesn't seem to care much for the horned bunny, or "lunch", as Grumpy kept mumbling.

I think I'll keep these two separated until it's time for Grumpy to go to her new home, so nothing unfortunate happens. I wouldn't want the royal Jackalope guard pounding down my door, that's for sure.
