This is a lower YA, upper MG story told through notes the two friends pass to each other during school and set in 1982. Full of friendship, nostalgia and lots of boy crazy swooning. A perfect introduction to romance for a young reader and a bridge from graphic novels to regular novels.
Books I'm Working On
The Adventures of Samantha Sawyer
A "new adult" romcom about a girl who takes a tour group on an adventure across Europe. Tropes include: reverse age gap, found family, road trip, he falls first, green flag MMC, no spice, swoony banter. This one is set to be published summer of 2027.
A Breath of Starlight
This is a YA space opera (aka science fiction but without the science aka romance in space!) inspired by the Tristan and Isolde legend where our girl is brought to the enemy to marry the leader, but falls in love with his nephew, which complicates things. This one is a mix of fun romance and intense drama.
Indian Summer
A small town, summer YA romance with the supernatural element of Skinwalkers mixed in. I'm currently pondering the idea of taking them out and revamping it to be a simple YA small town romance.
