HI FRIENDS!!!

Hi Summit Mommies!! We miss you all!!! As many of you know we have been trying to add onto our family for 6 years now. Which leads me to our great news....Adam & I are starting the adoption process. We still are a few months out until we can be qualified which actually works out great since our house won't be finished until October. I just wanted to ask for your help if you know anyone who is thinking about adoption. We would consider adopting from birth to three depending on the situation and gender doesn't matter to us. Morgan is now 6 1/2 and starting 1st grade tomorrow. We have involved her in the process so far and she asks almost daily when we are getting our baby! Hopefully it doesn't take too long for her. :) I love you all and hopefully we can come see you soon!! Love, Megs

Relief Society Activity!

Summit Sisters,

Come join us for a Relief Society sewing activity!

Date: November 6th
Time: 7:00
Where: Stake Center

We will be learning basic sewing skills on real sewing machines. You will be using those skills to make a burlap table runner to take home! All materials for table runners will be provided by Relief Society. Limit one per person.

If you would like to make a table runner (and did not sign up on Sunday) leave you name as a comment and I will add you to the list. You MUST sign up so we can buy materials for you!  We will be sending sign ups around on Sunday which is the LAST day to sign up!

We will also be making baby blankets for those on need. We are asking for donations of fleece and/or flannel for these blankets. Please donate fabric in 2 yard increments. Please leave a comment if you are willing to donate material.

We will be serving a delicious pumpkin treat and hot apple cider. We look forward to spending a fun night with you while we learn an important skill. See you there!

Babysitting will be provided.

Dear Everyone,

I've had some requests to do a 4th of July craft.  So, I came up with 2 fun and fairly simple ideas.

"The Land of the Free... sign is 11" by 10"  and will be $12 if you come and make it.  If you would like me to make it, it will be $17.  

"America, est... sign is 15" by 8" and will be $10 if you make it.  If you would like me to make it, it will be $15.

I will cut, sand, and paint the board as well as cut and weed the vinyl.  You will just sand the already painted edges, glaze the board (if you like that look), and slap on the vinyl--(you know that's the official term ).

Because of the time and wanting you to enjoy your hard work :) before the holiday,  MONEY needs to be to me by this Friday, June 22.  I will cut and paint this weekend and we will get together early next week.  We will meet during the day on Tuesday (June 26) and Thursday (June 28) from 9--11AM and that night from 7-9PM.

Any camp people--if you want to do it, just shoot me an email or text and you can pay me when you get back.  If there are any issues with money or the time--call me and we will work it out!!

Kitten needs a new home

I seriously need help in finding a new home for my cat. It is really more than what I had wanted even though I grew up with cats all the time. I have a ten week old kitten now. It really needs a better home and people that are willing to show more that what we can give her!! It is very active and loves the attention. I prefer an outdoor kitten. This little kitten is a girl and is a beautiful gray with white legs. Come by and see it if you are interested! If unsure or know of someone that wants one pass on my phone number.

As it is getting close to Father's Day, I wanted to offer the Priesthood Line of Authority plaques for anyone who didn't make them last year.  I've had several people ask me to make them.  So, if you are interested, text me or email me--I would love to do them!!  They are $20 per plaque.  

Summer 2012--Park Days and Pool Days

Hey Everyone,

It that time of year--PARK DAYS AND POOL DAYS!!

Once again through great generosity we get to enjoy
the pools of several members of our ward.  Here is the
schedule as we know it now--if anything changes I will let you know.

Rules:  1.  Everyone is welcome.
            2.  Parents must stay with their kids at both the park and the pool!!
            3.  The pool time is from 11AM--1PM,  we cannot stay later.
            4.  Bring your own chair(s) and towels
                 --most of the pools do not have seating.

Park days will be the following Wednesdays 
from 11AM--1PM at Coyote Canyon Park:

May 30
June  6, 13, 20, 27
July 11, 18, 25

No Park Day on July 4th  :)

We can have one August 1 but it is usually
too hot and the kids go back to school the next Monday, so...


Pool Days will be the following times at 
various homes from 11AM--1PM:


Friday June 1 at Tiffany Smith's pool
Thursday June 7 at Julie Bourgeous' pool
Friday June 15 at Tammy Schultz's pool
Friday June 22 at Julia Stacey's pool

Homemade Bread Sales

Awhile back I had injured my wrist and gave up bread making for awhile.  I am doing it again so if anyone is interested in purchasing any bread just let me know.  The large loaves are $5  except for the carrot bread and flaxseed are $6.00 and the mini's are $2.00.  These are the different kinds that i make; whole wheat, whole wheat Italian, cinnamon swirl, flaxseed raisin, carrot bread and a garlic cheese bread.

I will be leaving town next weekend and will not return till the 5th of May.
