Lots of pictures

We've had a good time with my mom and sister and cousin Halle visiting. Abby and Halle have had a ball going to the park, riding on the boat and carousel, watching signing time, and just being silly.
Owen is a sweet little boy! He sleeps like it's no ones business and lets me know when he's hungry and poopy. Life is a little crazy, but we're so happy to have our new little addition :)

Abby's 2nd Birthday

Abby turned two on April 20th! She's such a big girl!
With all the hoop lah with the new baby I was very impressed that Mike went out and got her all Elmo themed party stuff and wrapped all her presents. My mom made an Elmo cake and we think she had herself a pretty good little party. Happy Birthday Abby we love you!

You can tell that Abby isn't that thrilled at first. As I said, this is probably one part confusion and three parts "I hate doctors". As expected she warms up pretty well toward the end. Hopefully these will tide Emily over for a while.

1st Day Highlights

I still need to get more videos up of the whole ordeal, but here are a few pictures of when Abby held Owen. At first she was really really confused and had a pretty grumpy face (you'll see in the video once I get it up). We think it had a lot to do with Abby's fear of hospitals and doctors ever since her stay with pneumonia. After Abby calmed down though she was really sweet with Owen. She held him and gave him a few little kisses. She really wanted to put a binki in his mouth. She also poked him in his big fat cheek and said "cheek." Here are a few pictures.

Owen Michael Thayer is Here!!!

This is Mike on behalf of my very tired wife who is still in the hospital with Owie. To give you the quick rundown Jill went into labor last night at about 3 am. We got to the hospital at about 5:30 am and she was already dilated to a 6. She got her epidural at around 7:30 am and had Owen at around 9:20 am. Unlike with Abby she didn't have to push for two hours. After 5 or 6 really good pushes he was out. Also unlike Abby, however, he didn't weigh 7 lbs 9 oz. He was a whopping 10 lbs 1 oz!! I think he looks like Abby , but he's pretty chunky so its hard to tell. Here are some pictures. Yipee!!

Easter at the Farm

Mike had a Easter Egg Hunt work party at Old Macdonald's Farm. Abby had a blast! She especially loved the baby lambs :) The Easter egg hunt was over in about 30 seconds, luckily Abby was able to snatch up a couple eggs before all the big kids took over.

Pregnancy Update

So I'm 37 1/2 weeks along now, and pretty ready to be done being prego. At this point in my last pregnancy I was dilated to a 3 and about to give birth at 38 weeks....so....naturally when I went to my doctor's appt today I was hoping for a similar situation, but, alas, I was told that nothing is really happening yet and I'll probably have to wait out the full 40 weeks. Darn it! Looks like this little guy is pretty comfy in there so who knows when he'll decide to make his debut. Maybe he and Abby will end up sharing the same birthday. Anyway nothing too exciting to report yet, here's a little video of Abby for your viewing pleasure.
