"Kiss Me Kate"

What a delight she has been so far! She is full of personality, but still loves to cuddle. She is awesome at healing we have found, but is really learning her 'no bite' quickly! She can climb chain link like a ladder, is a fantastic escape artist and comes to her name!
She really loves to be around us, so we try to let her tag along whenever we can.
She is a tiny thing! Mystie's pups were bigger than her and a couple of weeks younger! She is definitely a fur ball! Cassidy has attached to her instantly. We all love her and are so happy she is finally here! Kiss me (no, not bite me) Kate! Welcome to our family!

February - March Fun!

Cassidy loves her kitty.. And He loves her.. Can't you tell? What other animal would let her maul him like that? Must be love!
Daddy doing doo doo duty.. It doesn't happen that often, it is typically my job. So I had to take a picture.. Cody is a great helper.. He loves to do what ever we are doing.
Cody is convinced that he needs to do his hair.. He always wears these headbands! It is funny, because he will just show up with them on.. His face, neck, sometimes on his head..
Here is is obliging us all with diapers to wear on our heads.. Cuz thats where they go isn't it?
Here is Sis, she lives outside, rain, snow or sunshine. Her and Jessy (tucked into her coat so she doesn't get cold) have an imaginary world out there!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Oops! Cody is just figuring out balloons, and that you have to hold on to them! We had a nice family party, that included Rod's favorite Peach Pie!
Even though the balloons were for Rod, Cassidy was quite concerned about what he was going to do with them AFTER his birthday..

Valentines Day..

We did our traditional pink heart pancakes, pink milk and made a Valentine for Daddy.
Cody LOVES his candy!
grandmas Carter did her girls night with Sis.. They did their nails, went bowling and had a sleep over. It was sure fun for Sis!

Grandparents Day at Dance..

Cassidy is enjoying her dance class. Her teacher is awesome.. She is a little shy, and just as coordinated as her mom.. So all that matters is she is having fun right?
She is in the Kindergarten-1st Grade class, and some of these girls can really move!

A 30 year old with a bottle..

They say once your baby turns 1, the bottle, binky and blankie all become significantly harder to take away.. I keep trying to take Cody's bottles away, I have hidden them, packed them away.. and he keeps finding them..
Should I be happy she can dress herself?

Mamma Don't Let Your Baby Grow up to be a Cowboy!

Here is our little man dressed up in his cowboy duds! What a sweetie pie...

New Years Day..

Here are our furry kids Saydie & Maximus, relaxing after a fun afternoon of sledding! Saydie is 10 yrs old and preferred to ride on the four wheeler with Rod, Max however had a blast chasing us and trying to herd the four wheeler!
I was just happy we actually had snow that stayed, deep enough to sled!

I dumped Rod & Sis out of the sled a couple of times and my tail bone still reminds me what a great day it was!

Christmas 2010

What an amazing Christmas! I was so excited this year. Our kids are at a really fun age where everything is magical and keeping secrets, buying presents for each other.. It was just a really enjoyable and relaxing day!
Cassidy's gingerbread house didn't come with enough frosting so we improvised and used what I had, which happened to be pink.. strawberry frosting.. It was soft so the Tupperware on the sides were actually holding the roof up, until it dried, which seemed like forever!
Santa's too busy on Christmas Eve, so he sends his elves to deliver Christmas Jammies.. Sis looks forward to it every year.. We go to Grandma & Grandpa Applegate's for a special family night themed around Jesus' birth, then come home, read the night before Christmas and take pics in their new Jammies! I LOVE tradition..
Grandma & Grandpa Carter usually come out Christmas morning to see what the kids got and visit! This year, Grandma & Grandpa Applegate came too and helped with Rod's surprise..
Cody was happy to get a 'his' size horse and gun, however it took him a minute to figure out how to use it!
Sis loved her border collie stuffie, for those of you who know her she thinks she is part K-9 so her daddy found the perfect gift! It was an amazing year, and as always, was over way too soon!

Cassidy School Picture

Here she is our little cowgirl! Kindergarten 2010-2011 School Year! She so often fakes her picture smile, so I was very happy that her smile is genuine!

Fall Traditions..

Every October we go on a Hay Ride and pick out pumpkins to carve. This year was perfect weather! Cody was big enough he could explore and pick the most rotten pumpkin he could find, and they had a little maze set up and some other fun activities for the kids to do!

This year Cassidy carved her own all by herself!

If it were up to Sis, we would grow pumpkins all year round and carve them for every holiday.. Don't forget to roast the seeds! She doesn't like them, doesn't eat them, but boy does she get mad if you don't roast them! Its all about the tradition..
