Cement!

We are finally about ready to get our patio and RV parking poured! I'm so ready to be able to go sit outside at night and have BBQ's! It should be done by Tuesday, but the weather isn't cooperating very well so we'll see. At least we should have it done by next weekend, so par-tay at our place Friday!

We also got the backyard dug out so as soon as the patio is done we can start the dreaded sprinkler system.. man we're not looking forward to that..we have no clue what we are doing! Ha I guess we'll figure it out! :)

It is the landscaping that never ends..

Now that we're all settled in to our new house and the snow has melted its time to start landscaping!! I had to at least start my flower garden!

We've mostly been trying to level everything out with Brandon's grandparents little tractor.

After we got the front lawn all leveled we realized how steep it was and decided to put in a little rock wall to break up all the grass..bye bye nice level ground..

We picked out our rocks on Monday that we are going to have delivered, which was our 2nd anniversary. We just did that and went to dinner, which was fine because it was just nice to have a night without working in the yard. Well I'm sure this will be a long process, but hopefully by fall we will be about ready for grass!

Almost there...

Well the house is pretty much done now, just a couple little more things to do!! It should be ours by next weekend if all goes as planned, yipee!! Here is a pic of the front of the house..oh and FYI the outside doors really aren't going to stay white, they are suppose to be brown but the paint wont stick to them cuz its too cold so they'll come back and do it when its warmer..

Here's the kitchen..

and the family room..

We are so excited!!

Coming along...

Well the house is coming along pretty fast! Now the siding and rock is almost done, the driveway and sidewalks are done, and they were putting carpet in this morning. The weekend was so busy! We spent five days from sunup to sundown working on the tile and shingles. The shingles are finished today and the there is a little more grout to do in the master bath. It is really starting to feel like a home!! The cabinets and countertops look good, I post more picks soon!!

Our new house!!

We got an accepted offer on this new house!! It is still a few weeks away from being done and we have to do the shingles and tile, but it will be so pretty when its done. We're so excited!!

These are the samples of the colors we picked for the carpet, tile and countertop. I sure hope it looks good together its so hard to decide from a little tiny sample!

This is a picture of the front family room. I love the vaulted ceilings! It just has the primer now, I can't wait to see it with color!

Brandon, his dad and his friend worked on the shingles all day Saturday. They got the back side of the house done. Brandon is like a monkey!! He can squat on the steepest part of the house on the very edge and nail staples. He is amazing! It scared me just going up the ladder!

I'll post more pics as it gets done!! :)

Island Park

We just got back from Island park on friday and it was a blast!! We went up on new years eve and had a little party. There was tons of snow, although it wasn't very powdery. We went on two good rides on the sleds, one with the whole family and one with just the people that actually wanted to go. My mom was not very happy with the whole snowmobiling idea. I'm pretty sure my dad got an ear full with her complaining. The ride the girls went on it was snowing really hard and she didn't have a helmet so guess she has a right to complain. The second day we went out was a lot better. The trails had been groomed so they weren't so bumpy so that helped. I almost got stuck like three times in the deep snow, but somehow made it out! Here is a little video I took with my new camcorder I got for x-mas, sorry its so loud, its the snow hitting the plastic sack I have around the camcorder.

On the first ride we went and saw Johnny Sack's cabin. The guys was pretty entertained by the ducks and the trout in the river as you'll see in this video.

As we were loading up the trailers to go home my dad decided to make one more little ride, but across the lake. I wish I could of been recording because he came back pretty wet, and he was saying how he immediately regretted the decision when he first started going and water sprayed up on the so called frozen lake. He made it all the way across the lake to the cabin and back, but I thought for sure he was going to break through and sink! Here's a few pics of the family that went on the second ride with me..Brandon..BJ and dad. This last video I just was wanting to videotape roxy, but you can hear my dad telling about his brave feat of crossing the lake too..

In all it was a really fun trip with very little problems, which is amazing for us. We did come home a little early because we had heard the weather was going to be bad, but we were all pretty tired anyway. Well thats all, sorry it was so long!

Snowmobiling time!!

Today, Brandon woke me up while he was getting ready for work to tell me the wonderful news that it had snowed. As excited as I am for snowmobiling, I'm really not thrilled with snow because I hate driving in it! We have a lot of trips planned this winter to go sledding so hopefully everything stays in one piece! We just bought two snowmobiles last month that will be really fun. They are both 2001 Polaris RMK's, his is a 700 and mine is a 600.

I've only rode a snowmobile once last year so hopefully I like it after all the money we've put into them! For New Years we are planning on going to Island park with my family which will be a blast cuz there is tons of snow there!
