Blogging? Whats that?

Yes, it has been quite awhile since I've sat down and blogged. To be honest, I just haven't wanted to. There has been a lot going on so here's the readers digest version.

September:
Sometime our ward finally split and we were put into the new ward. Andrew was called to be the 1st counselor in the Young Men's Presidency (even though he is coaching this year and won't be able to make it to most of the activities) and I was called as the Secretary for Relief Society. We, and by we, I mostly mean me, have been super busy with our callings. My calling has been part of the reason I have not blogged in 2 months. By the time I'm done at the computer, I don't feel like sitting here any more. Right now, I am procrastinating planning my lesson a little bit longer by blogging. 


October:
Jackson turned 4 on the 1st! We had a small birthday party with a few of his friends from the neighborhood. It was a blast. It was a superhero theme (of course!).On his actual birthday we told him we would go out to dinner. We asked him where he wanted to go and he said, "I know! The way yummy food from Mexico." We said, "Mexican food?" "
Jack, "No no no. It's the yummy place with food from Mexico."
Us, "Yes, food from Mexico would be Mexican food."
Jack, "Oh yeah! What is that place with tacos and burritos?"
Us, "Don Pedros? Tahrumaru?"
Jack, "No! The other place!"
At this time we had NO clue what he could be talking about so we started naming off other places he might want to go.
Jokingly, I said, "Oh Taco Bell, Del Taco..."
Jack interrupted me, "YEAH! THATS IT! Del Taco is the way yummy food from Mexico!"
We crushed his hopes and dreams and did not go to Del Taco, mostly because the closest one is about 30 minutes away and Del Taco is yummy but not THAT yummy. We ended up at Tahrumaru. So yummy.

I turned 26 on the 2nd! Nothing too exciting happened that day. I cleaned bathrooms, did laundry, kids fought, yeah it was interesting. Andrew bought me a flash for the camera which was super exciting. I had been getting back into photography as a hobby and this was something I wanted to get. He also registered me for 2 photography classes which ended up not working out and I didn't get to go but thats alright. We went out to dinner but now it has been long enough that I don't even remember where we went. That's alright. It ended up being a pretty good day.

Easton turned 1 on the 16th! I can't believe my baby is 1! He is quite the funny kid. He still has those cute dimples and long eyelashes. His top two teeth have finally come in and he has the cutest little gap in between his teeth. We kept his birthday pretty low key. Had some Mcdonalds for dinner. That kid sure can eat! He loves his food. Despite his love for food, he's still teeny tiny. We're still waiting for him to hit 20 lbs. He's close! Only about a half a pound left.

Halloween: We had a great Halloween this year. It is so fun as the kids get older and really enjoy these holidays. Jackson was an Air Force Pilot (pretty sure he picked the costume based on the fact that it had a walkie-talkie and whistle. Thank goodness that whistle has disappeared). Kenadi was a fairy and Easton was a raccoon. We had our ward Halloween party the Saturday before at the park across the street. It was a small carnival and trunk or treat. But instead of using trunks we all stood in a big circle and the kids just walked around. The kids seemed to love it and we loved that it was a short thing. On Halloween itself, I took Easton trick-or-treating to our neighbors house, and then took the older two trick or treating along with their friend Jane (and her mom Molly, my good friend). It was fun! We enjoyed walking around with the kids and Molly & I enjoyed visiting while the kids trick-or-treated. Jackson and Kenadi were pretty excited getting to stay out so late (like 8:15). Although, Kenadi started to crash about 8:00. But she kept insisting that she wasn't tired and not ready to go home even though I was carrying her, her thumb was in her mouth and her head on my shoulder haha. Overall, Halloween was a success!

A relaxing Sunday

We didn't have church today since it was the Brigham City Temple dedication. We drove down and saw Emily and Dylan and dropped a few things off and then drove up through Daniels Canyon to Strawberry. We found the most BEAUTIFUL spot there! We had fun taking pictures. (these are for you Emily)

 While there the kids and Shannon built a house. Of course all of those pictures are on our phones and Im not in the mood to download those too. After that we went to the fish hatchery and looked at the fish. I was a little skeptical at first, but it was actually pretty cool and the kids LOVED it. More pictures to come soon.

Andrew has finally finished his masters! So proud of him for getting it all done. It was a lot of work!

Evidently,

One of my children felt I wasn't blogging enough and thought they would do it for me. I don't know how long this blank post was up. I haven't gotten on my blog in a long time.

Anyways, we had a busy August. The kids and I made the 12 hour drive to Oregon by ourselves to spend some time with Bobbie, Dan and the girls. As well as to be there for Madison's baptism.

Andrew is back to work and he finished his masters!!! Hooray! Obviously tons to catch up on but right now isn't the time. Soon though!

Disneyland!

Monday morning we all got up and went to Disneyland first thing in the morning. I LOVE Disneyland! We didn't ride all of the rides but we did ride quite a few. The kids were pretty content to just look at everything, although by the 3rd day Jackson REALLY enjoyed riding rides. Especially the little roller coaster in Toon Town. At first we all stayed together. But then, the older people (aka Mom, Dad, Shannon, Nicole, David (nicoles bf) Madison & Hannah) took off to ride the bigger rides while Bobbie, Dan, Bells and Abbie and us walked slower and enjoyed looking at things and taking the kids on the smaller rides. It was much more fun this way for everyone I think.

Kenadi was SO SO excited to Minnie Mouse and while we were in line she kept waving and saying, "Hi Minnie!" but then as soon as we got up there to take a picture with her she FLIPPED out!

In Mickey's House. We had 5 kids under 4 between my sister and I. Plus she also has a 7 & 8 almost 9 year old. Can I just say I love this picture! It just cracks me up how all of them look like they are SO bored, which couldn't be more far from the truth. They LOVED Mickey's house.

I kept teasing Bobbie & Dan that the only pictures I was going to get of Bells are of the back of her head.

So at first, Dan was underneath it pretending to be so STRONG but I missed getting a picture of him and he wouldn't do it again (it was HILARIOUS). But we were able to get Jackson to do it. Look at that strength!

Once again, I tried to get a picture of the three of them, but when you have three kids under 4, it usually isn't going to happen

 Thats our Disneyland vacation in photos. I still need to get the pictures that my dad took. I know he got some fun ones of us at the beach when Shannon, Ryan, and I were out in the waves and also pictures of all the cousins together. Overall, we had such a great time! Even though our kids are little they loved it! Easton even loved the rides. He would look at everything. He especially loved Its a Small world. Things to look at and music to dance to! Haha!
