Kennedy
In true Ticey fashion, it's been a few months since my last post. This time it's all about Kennedy. Like her brother, this little girl has stolen my heart. She is so sweet!! She loves her "bubba" and her babies. She's such a good little mommy to her "purple baby". She doesn't like to be anywhere without her. She's a must have at bedtime for sure.
Her favorite colors are pink & purple. She loves dancing to the Cha Cha Slide and Macarena (thank you school!). We sing "I love you a bushel & a peck" every night before bed. I just love our bedtime routine.
She loves crayons, markers, pens, paper...basically, anything to do with drawing. I love to hear her say squirrel because it's not quite right, but it's so darn cute. She can't make the normal number 3 with her fingers so we taught her to do the "ok" sign for 3 and she's so impressed with herself. She's very excited about her upcoming birthday and can't wait for the celebration at school. For awhile, she thought she was getting a baby sister for her birthday like Allie did, but that's never gonna happen! :) Allie really didn't get a baby sister for her birthday, but since Laura was born 2 days after Allie's birthday it sure appeared like that to them! :)
She loves Tinkerbell and all things princess. She knows that she's daddy's little princess. She's still terrified of dogs, but sure does love to look at them from afar. She absolutely adores babies and is so excited to go visit all of my friends who have recently added to their families. I took her to a baby shower with me earlier this month and she's still talking about it!!
She loves to distinguish between this is for girls or this is for boys. She's way more girlie than I am as she loves bows, headbands, nail polish, and jewlery galore. She's still obsessed with her gold sandals from last summer. She wore them several times this winter, but just in the house and now that it's warmer she's back to asking for them everyday.
She's doing really well in school and will be moving up to the next class at the first of April. She and Hudson will officially be separated at that point for the duration of their time at Cypress Creek. I'm still coming to terms with that, but I think it will be good for them.
I could go on and on, but that's a little glimpse into Miss Kennedy Elizabeth!

Hudson
So it's been a few months since my last post, but as the kids are growing and changing so much I thought I better jot down a few things before they change again! :)
Hudson is ALL boy!!! It's amazing just how differently he and Kennedy approach life! He's a brute and wants to run everyone and everything over! He can be super sweet, but his natural inclination is to be a boy!! :) He used to be a momma's boy, but daddy is certainly his hero and who he turns to! It's pretty cute to see my boys together!! He and Kennedy can fight like cats and dogs, but when he wants to be he's so sweet with her.
His favorites:
color - blue
TV shows - Chuggington, Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, & Dora. He will occasionally ask to watch Jake & the Pirates or Jungle Junction.
Movies - he LOVES movies...Toy Story, Incredibles, Cars, and his most favorite is still Monsters, Inc.
bedtime - he must always sleep with his puppy & duck. He also has a pillow pet and blue blanket that is pretty much always in his bed too.
toys - trains, cars, & tools (hammer, electric drill)
songs - Farmer in the Dell, ABCs, & the Muffin Man
He loves music and to dance. At the end of Mickey Mouse, he always gets up and does the Hot Dog dance. It's the cutest thing. HG & I both have a kid cd in our cars that we listen to when driving with the kids. Hudson belts out the words to all the songs. He truly connects with music.
He really likes school and I'm amazed at what they're learning. Something new spews out of their mouths on a regular basis. The other day, Hudson started counting the crackers on his plate in Spanish. He counted to 10! That's all I can count to in Spanish! :)
We turned our old iPhones into an iPod Touch for each of them and they are lifesavers!! Hudson especially loves to play games on his. When that boy focuses he tunes out the rest of the world. He loves to play matching/memory games, do puzzles, and now he plays an alphabet game. I swear these games can keep him entertained for hours.
He's still painfully shy when we're in public. He definitely has his dad's personality where he would prefer to take everything in before he starts interacting with the environment. Once he warms up though, he's a ball of fire!
So that's a little bit about Hudson!

Gracie's 2nd Birthday
I can't believe Miss Gracie Rae turns two this week! Erin had a family birthday celebration for her today and the kids had a blast. They just LOVE Gracie! The kids had so much fun that they napped forever and way too close to bedtime! :)
Sweet Gracie is such a joy for all of us! So glad she enjoyed her 2nd birthday!

My Only Sunshine Design!
I've talked about my talented friends before, but it's time for a little plug again! Did you see the super cute shirts my kiddos are wearing? Kelly did their shirts along with the cutest shirt for Grandma Geyer. I wish I had a pic of Karen's shirt, but I'll just have to describe it to you. Karen dresses up as a witch every year for Halloween so her shirt has the cutest witch in the middle with Grandma's Goblins at the top. Surrounding the witch are 4 ghosts (one for each grandkid) with their name across the ghost. Then each grandkid got their own ghost shirt. How cute is that?!! :)
Kelly loves to do custom orders and can turn your vision into something oh so cute! Feel free to check out her website at www.myonlysunshinedesign.com and use code TICEYFRIENDS10 to save 10%! Okay, shameless plug is over! :)

Pumpkin Patch Adventure!
The kids & I ventured to Baxter for a weekend with the Ikenberry clan. Nana has been planning this trip since last year. She took Aidan and had a blast so she wanted to make sure H & K went this year too.
The adventure began in Corona, KS. I swear it's less than 20 minutes from my hometown and I'd never heard of it before. We had an hour train ride to the pumpkin patch. Once we got close, we hopped off the train and took a hayride to the pumpkin patch. We spent about 2 hours at the pumpkin patch and then began the return adventure. As you can imagine, the kids were wiped out by then so it was a very quiet trip back.
The weather was gorgeous and everyone had a great time! Sorry, my pics are out of order!

Arboretum!
Amanda & I are turning a trip to the pumpkin patch into an annual tradition and I love it! Last year, we all had a great time, but this year I think the kids loved it even more. Plus, it's just so beautiful and amazing to see all those pumpkins!!

October Fun!
October always seems to be a busy month with pumpkin patches, birthday parties, and fall festivals. Of course, throw some college football in there, the finally cooler weather and it's slowly becoming one of my favorite months.
We went to the Cone's for a TX/OU watch party even though I wasn't paying any attention to that game! It was fun just catching up with everyone.
We're also prepping the kids for Halloween this year! Last year they didn't actually trick-or-treat, but this year they are pretty excited about getting candy. Little do they know it's all going to my office the next day! Last year, I really wanted them to be gnomes, but H refused to wear the hat & beard. I bought the costumes again this year and we're making progess. He's willing to wear the hat, but we're still working on the beard. Cross your fingers!
