Christmas Time!!!

 Opening presents Christmas morning was a lot of fun this year. Annalyse was so excited and counted down the days, she was very into Santa this year and asked a lot of questions. Rome was excited too but took his time opening presents. He was savoring the moment with each present and had most of his still left to open by the time Annalyse was done. It was fun to just sit back and watch them, they were so filled with the Christmas Spirit.

 The day after Christmas we went up to Park City and went sledding, both of the kids were so into it and could have stayed for days.

The Dinosaur Museum

We wanted to check out the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point and the kids had a blast.

It is very kid friendly and hands on, Both Annalyse and Rome had fun exploring and learning.

They are so cute!

Rome loved playing in the sand with all the mini dinosaurs.

What?!??! 5 Years Old!

Our little girl Annalyse Rose has turned 5! I can't believe that she is getting so big. She loves birthdays and talks about her birthday all year long, so she was super excited that it was finally here.

 She took strawberry cupcakes to her Preschool (the majority of her Preschool is boys so we didn't make them barbie, she just wanted to so sprinkles)

She loved opening presents and then playing with everything. Our little Barbie Princess is not so little anymore. 

Annalyse is a wonderful big sister and helper to Mommy. She is always full of energy, laughter and love; she gives hugs all the time and is always telling everyone how much she loves them. I love you so much Annalyse, Happy Birthday!

Halloween Time

All of my family was together just before Halloween. We were able to get family picture done for the first time since I was in High School (not counting weddings). So we all went to Corn Bellys at Thanksgiving Point after pictures for some fun.

There were a bunch of different wooden things for kids to play on and Rome loved all of them. I think he would love to grow up on a farm, he loved all of the tractors. 

There were also some rides. Rome loves trains and loved going on the cow train. My mom fit in this cow when neither Jenni nor I could. The cows name was even Jenni, it just wasn't ment to be I guess.

There was a hay maze and a corn maze that were really fun too.

It was full of pumpkins and a bunch of fun. It was just nice to have my whole family together, it doesn't happen often enough.

We painted and carved pumpkins this year, both Annalyse and Rome had a lot of fun and did really well.

This year Annalyse was Little Red Riding Hood, Rome was the Wolf, I was the sick old Grandma, and Seth was the Woodsman (although we never got a picture of him he actually did dress up.)

We were able to go out trick-or-treating with the La Cognata family, the kids had a blast and got a lot of candy.

Around and Around

Oh what fun a merry go 'round can be.

We were walking around a mall and saw the merry go 'round and how could we resist. The kids were in love and would have road it over and over if we would have let them. Annalyse has been on one before, although I don't think she remembered. This was Romes first time and he loved it! They both had to pick their perfect horse, it took Rome a bit to find "the one". It was a fun experience and luckily no one got sick.

Living in an apartment again has taken some getting use to. I think the biggest this is not having a back yard for the kids to play in. I never use to have to worry about cars or anything really. They could just go and play. I know that it is mostly me but I don't really like them to play in the parking lot or small grass area we have now, so we have been going to the park almost everyday. There are a lot of different parks around us and one within walking distance, so it has worked out fine. There are almost always kids to play with there so the kids love it.

We have also been able to go out in nature, we have missed this having been living in the desert for years now. We love the mountains and we went on a beautiful walk.

The kids loved our walk and have asked to go many times since. We saw a LOT of these "Halloween" caterpillars and both Annalyse and Rome were fascinated with them.

First Day of Preschool

Annalyse started school and has mad it through her first week. She is going to Care-A-Lot Preschool three days a week. Because we moved right around the time school we starting she missed a few days, but it doesn't seem to have bothered her at all. She is making friends all ready and loving going to school.

 Rome on the other hand is hating having her gone and cries every time we drop her off. He loves his big sister and wants to do whatever she is doing. Hopefully I can make it fun for him at home while she is gone.

Annalyse is a very outgoing and smart little girl and I know that she will have a great school year.

We Are Moving!

We are moving to Orem, Utah. Seth has gotten a job as a Chef at Tucanos Brazilian Restaurant. He will be working at both the Prove and Salt Lake locations. We think that this is the right thing for our family to do right now and will have opportunity for Seth career. We will miss the friend we have made in Las Vegas, but are excited about things to come.

Max

Maxamillion Geo Ash was a wonderful pet. He was a gentle little dog that loved to lay in the sun. He would wiggle his bum when you would scratch it and had a funny little happy growl. He lived a full happy life, living to 16 years old and left behind a family that loves him.

Fell better in Heaven Max, we miss you.
