Teddy Bear & Soccer

Mikey has found a new love...Hailey's teddy bear! He found it in the toy box today and was walking around with it all morning. He even insisted on holding him all through breakfast! (poor guy has had a cold and he always gets a rash on his face)

I also found some pictures from Hailey's soccer class she took last month. She was so scared the first day but after a few minutes she really got into it. Unfortunately she is not the most coordinated kid (thanks to her moms genes) but she had a lot of fun running around and kicking the ball.

Snow, Snow, Snow

We had quite the snowstorm this weekend. 16" inches and it's one of the top 5 worst storms this area has had. Hailey was so excited to see the snow from the window, she loved her snowsuit and boots but once she got outside things changed. She cried that her boots got dirty, which was actually just snow, and she refused to wear her gloves. The final straw was when she got upsed that she didn't have a silly hat like Mikey's to wear. Our snow playing lasted all of 10 minutes. Then Mike attemped to take her on the sled but there was too much snow to be able to pull.

Yes you are seeing right, poor Mikey was forced to wear pink snow pants. That's what happens when your a second child! He had so many layers on he couldn't walk and when I put him down he just cried. We are definately not a snow family!

So for now I think we will enjoy the beauty of the snow from inside our warm house!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Wow has it really been that long since my last post? Having 2 kids is a lot more time consuming that I thought! Well let's see if I can re-cap what we have been up to. Hailey turned 3 in October and we had a fun birthday party for her this year. She really likes the Yo Gabba Gabba TV show so we ran with that theme. This year was fun because she was excited for her party and she helped me with the decorations. Mikey turned 1 a few weeks ago, I can't believe how fast it goes the second time around. He started walking at around 11 months and hasn't stopped moving since. I am not used to having such an active kid, Hailey spoiled me! Mikey is into everything all the time.

I decided to wait another year before sending Hailey off to preschool, we have been doing a lot with our mom's club so I feel like she is getting enough socialization through that. She has finally made a friend, Sophie, and it has helped her so much. She is a lot less shy now so I have hope for her not always being afraid of other kids.

Mike is still at Quantico and enjoying his work, we are loving his schedule and him always being home at 5:30 and no travel! I'm busy with the kids and I ended up taking over as organizer of my mom's club this past summer so that has kept me busy.

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving tomorrow, Mike's family is coming over so it should be nice!

Updates

So once again it's been way too long since a post so I thought i would get some new pictures of Mikey up. I can't believe he is almost 5 months old already! He's rolling over and he is very close to being able to sit up. He can keep himself upright for a few seconds now but then he looses his balance and topples over. We also discovered little mikey is allergic to rice cereal. We are going to try oatmeal next so hopefully that will be better for him.

We have had a busy month with Tina and Clayton visiting for a week and then my mom came out the following week. It was great to see them and the extra help was fantastic so we were sad to see them go. Hopefully they will be back soon!

We are all anxious for spring so we can get outdoors again. It's been a long winter, we really miss the mild Charlotte weather.

Finally figured it out

Since Mikey was born he has been very gassy and never had a regular BM so we finally figured out that he is allergic to milk. After switching him to soy he is doing so much better, the poor little guy just couldn't digest the milk. Unfortunately for me that means cutting dairy out of my diet which is tough, but he's worth it! He is such a sweet little guy and we are all so in love with him. Despite his tummy troubles, he hardly ever cries. We got the first giggles out of him yesterday, I love to see all these milestones and I'm so glad I get to stay home with my kids!

Baby Mikey Update

Finally some new pictures! I can't believe how fast time goes by! Mikey is already 2 1/2 months old. He is such a good baby and we are so happy he is here! I have finally adjusted to life with 2 kids, and although it's hard at times I wouldn't change it for anything!

Hailey has been doing pretty well with everything. She still gets jealous at times when I'm paying attention to Mikey and not her, but overall she has done better than I imagined. We are just ready for this cold weather to go away so we can get outside again. We are getting cabin fever being stuck at home all day, but spring will be here soon enough.

Long overdue update

So I'm way behind on the blogging world. Things have been crazy here as you can guess we finally have our new baby boy with us. He decided to come about 5 days late but he made it up to me by making labor a breeze. I was in labor for about 7 hours and I only pushed for 4 minutes before he was born. We named him Michael Andrew Vuong and he was 8 lbs 5 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. So far things have been good, Mike has been able to spend a lot of time at home so that has been a huge help. I haven't gotten a true dose of what life is going to be like with 2 kids but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Hailey has been doing pretty well with the baby. She doesn't really want much to do with him, but I'm sure she will come around. The hardest part is being at home these first few weeks, we were so active with our mom's club before Mikey was born so I think Hailey gets a little bored being at home all day. The cold weather doesn't help either we can't even get out to go on walks.

I'll get some better pictures posted once I upload them, it's amazing how much he has changed in just 3 weeks!
