So Josh's sister, Krystal, returns from her mission tonight!!! It's so crazy how fast 18 months flies by! Josh and I were talking this week about Krystal coming home. We decided that it feels weird because it feels like time has gone by so fast, but at the same time, it feels like she's been gone a long time! :) I think this is because a lot has happened for us in the last 18 months! We got married!!!! We got engaged, then got married. Josh's sister, Felicia, graduated from high school. My sister, Jenni, got engaged. My cousin, Dest, got engaged. They are both set to get married in 2015, which I'm glad Krystal will be able to be here for both of their weddings. Josh changed his major to Nursing. Another 3 semesters of school has gone by for the both of us! I think 3 semesters is a long time, but only because that's how much school I have left after April!!! :) Woo!
I'm sure we'll get to talk to Krystal soon enough, whether that be tonight or later this week after things settle down for her. I bet that's the longest part of coming home from a mission; first, the loonnngg plane ride home and second, going around to see everyone you care about!

School...continued.
I've noticed we live really really really exciting lives...jk. I get this feeling that we will be forever in school, working, and in an apartment. At the same time, I feel like this school year has just blown past me. We're already over halfway done with this semester since Josh and I both had to take 3 midterms last week! We've both been busy with school and work, but oh let me tell you...our weekends are heavenly! We both sleep in and this past Saturday, I didn't do anything, but lay around and watch Netflix. I'm usually so exhausted from the week that by Saturday, I desire to just do nothing. Lately, when we crawl into bed at night and we set our alarms, I tell Josh how much I'm dreading having to wake up in the morning. haha. It's absolutely pathetic. Josh and I are pretty similar in the the sense that we both have to wind down before we can fall asleep at night. Lately, we've been watching an episode of Hawaii Five-O before bed or laying in bed talking about our days. It's kind of the best part of my day though, just having some pillow talk time with my hubby. :)

It's Healthy!
We had a nice weekend since we had Monday off school due to President's Day! :) However, that was our last day off for the semester! Ugh!
Rissa talked about visiting us for the weekend, but things fell through and she didn't end up coming. It was really nice to have the weekend to sleep in and lay around :) My baby boy got me an edible arrangement and a balloon for Valentine's Day and we went out to eat to Rumbi Saturday night. I bought him a big red bag of Doritos with a cute card for heart day! Also, we got tickets to the BYU basketball game because we thought Rissa was coming down. So Josh and I just went to the game Saturday night...it was a pretty good game.
We had Monday off and Josh wanted to go to the mall to try to find basketball shoes. So we walked around the mall for awhile. I looked for wedding shoes for Jenni, but she "didn't love" any of the ones I sent her pictures of. Go figure, haha. Then, Josh went to play basketball with his buddies and I stayed home and watched Vampire Diaries :)
When Josh got home from playing basketball, we went grocery shopping and Josh decided he was in the mood for Red Robin. I had never been there, so why not? Red Robin is over in the other Provo mall, so we ate ourselves full! :) It was amazingly good! But we had to roll each other out of the restaurant because we were both so stuffed! We decided to walk around the mall for awhile to burn off some of the calories we just consumed. I bought a cute pair of off-brand Toms that are camo and pink! They were $7 bucks, plus 20% off at Payless! It was really nice to just walk around with my hunny. Then we went home and went to bed! :)
This morning, I did NOT want to get out of bed! Since we had Monday off, we had Monday classes on Tuesday (yesterday). Its screwing up my whole week! I also was dreading having practically 2 Mondays in a row! So I decided this morning that I was going to skip class and sleep in :)
Josh and I slept in until 9, then got up and got ready. I was supposed to have class from 9-11, then another class from 11-12, then work 12-4, then class 4-6:30, then class 7-9 pm. My Wednesdays are horrific! I decided that I was going to skip my morning classes, just go to work and then my night classes. Josh just laughed at me. But I told him...
"My mom always taught me that it's healthy to skip class once in awhile!"

Super Bowl Sunday!
The wonderful Sharp family invited Josh and I up to their house for Super Bowl Sunday! They had a wonderful array of foods; veggies, wings, meatballs, pasta salad, the list could go on and on and on! I made peanut butter cookies to add to the feast! However, Ashley also had fresh strawberries and crackers that we could dip in chocolate for dessert! It was incredible!
And what a game!!! It was craziness! :) The Sharps were mainly cheering for the Seahawks, but Josh and I are still pretty bitter (Josh especially) about the Packers not being in the Super Bowl, so we were cheering (not particularly for the Patriots), but just for the Seahawks to lose. :) And lose they did! Couple of crazy plays though!
Josh was on his phone in bed this morning when I was getting ready and he saw this meme on Facebook that he thought was funny. It said, "In other news, millions of Facebook users magically became sports announcers within the last 24 hours." I also added to that...referees and coaches as well! It's ridiculous some of the people on Facebook just rant and rant and rant about how stupid the coach was to call that play or how terrible the refs are! Since my wonderful hubby is a intramural ref, he knows exactly how it feels to have players and fans hate him for making calls in the games.
Speaking of which, Friday night was a rough night of week for my Josh. He was pretty frustrated when he came home and when he was telling me about it the next day. He said, "It's like all people just lose respect for basketball officials as soon as they walk in the door." Also, in every gym, along with 2 referees, there is also a supervisor for intramurals and they are supposed to have the officials backs. Well, apparently the supervisor in Josh's gym on Friday did NOT have his back. When Josh made a call, and the players started arguing, the supervisor told Josh that he could have handled that better. What a joke! I told Josh that he needed to talk to his boss. How is he supposed to be respected when none of the players think he's capable of doing his job and then the supervisor tells him how to do his job!? And then, Josh said later that same game during half time, the supervisor wasn't even doing his job! Ridiculous!
Anyways, Josh and I had a pretty good weekend. It went way too fast...as usual. :) Week 5 of school though...only 3 months left!

We Have the Best Pens
Pens...yes pens, as in writing utensils that use ink. So I just got a call at work from a school counselor in Dallas, Texas who wanted to know if we could ship her some of our BYU Independent Study pens! Hands down, the weirdest request I've ever gotten and from speaking with my co-workers, it's the weirdest request EVER in the history of customer service! Ha! The counselor explained that they had a BYU IS rep. come to their school and give them a bunch of free stuff, like course catalogs, posters, and these AWESOME pens! They're blue with our logo and number on them. They also have little grippers and they just LOVE them! Haha. I talked to Marketing and they were oh, so helpful...NOT. They said they didn't ship any materials directly to schools (just field reps), but there is some kind of form on our website where counselors could order materials. Here's the kicker, they had no idea where to find this said form. Wow, right? So helpful. Anyways, so I was asking around the office, trying to ask people who have worked here for awhile, but even my team leader didn't know. I told the counselor to maybe contact the field rep for Texas and ask him if he had any materials that he could send to the school. I also told her about the form and that I was searching for it, but hadn't found it yet. The counselor sounded pretty embarrassed for even asking, but yeah...that's my funny story for today! Fun times at work!

Back At It...
Sorry, we're already into our third week of school and I haven't blogged since Christmas!? How pathetic! :)
Leaving home after Christmas was extra, extra hard for this girl. It was probably the hardest it's ever been for me to leave to go back to school and I really don't know why. Last semester was extra hard on me because I didn't make any new friends and I sat home alone quite a bit. Josh was taking hard classes and he was gone studying a lot, especially later in the evening. Although I was taking 17 credits, I didn't have much homework outside of class so in reality, I didn't have much to do at all! I'm not complaining (maybe a little), I just had lots of time on my hands to be homesick and think of all the awesome things going on at home that I was missing out on! :(
This semester, I got a job...and I LOVE it! I applied and interviewed for this position before we left for home in December and I got it! I started my 2 weeks of training the first day of class at the BYU Independent Study Office as a Customer Service Representative! :) I answer the phone for 4 hours everyday and answer people's questions! However, the best part is that when there isn't a cue (meaning we're not busy because no one is waiting to speak to someone), I get to do homework, or BLOG! Facebook and/or videos are not allowed, but I can text, do homework, eat, blog, and even browse on Pinterest! I have to dress up everyday; they don't allow denim jeans, but I can wear colored jeans so of course I had to go shopping! I bought this really cute pair of bright red skinnies that I love! :) Just for work!
Anyways, school is good. I originally registered for 17 credits again, but after 2 days of class, I dropped one of my classes. It was a block class, which means that it ended at the end of February, which is great! However, it also required a 10-hour volunteer/service experience in the public school. Since I have class all morning and then work until 4, kids would be out of school. Since I work at this wonderful place at BYU where they offer online courses, I looked up to see if the class was offered online...and it IS!!! Woo! So I'll just take that over the summer months while I'm home working, especially because I work at Summer School! :) Aren't I so smart?
Josh is taking a pretty low course load this semester and in the first week and a half, he was already bored! Ha! He went back to the Intramural office and he got his reffing job back! So he's already started working at nights, reffing basketball! We're both working students now!

Christmas
It's been absolutely wonderful to be home for Christmas with our families! The only thing we don't like is only having 2 weeks to see everyone here! So if I haven't gotten to see you, we're so sorry! We'll be back in April for the summer again so we'll see you then! :)
We had a wonderful Christmas! We spent Christmas Eve with my family: playing games, opening presents, laughing, and eating (what we do best!). Christmas morning, my dad took us to Wausau to meet Josh's parents to take us back to Spencer. We spent Christmas Day with Josh's family; his grandparents, his mom, and his sister, Felicia. We ate, opened presents, and played 500 Rummy for hours! haha We also got to Skype Josh's sister, Krystal (Sister Weier) as she is on her mission in California. She comes home in the beginning of March so this was the last time we got to see/talk to her before she comes home! It was really good to see her.
Funny story: So Krystal has a cat at home and Josh and I slept in Krystal's room when we spent the night. I knew this was going to be a bad idea because the last time I spent the night with Krystal in high school, I had issues with this cat coming in her room at night and walking around on the bed during the night. I woke up to this cat walking along the top of my pillow and landing on me when she jumped down from the window sill. Anyways, I knew I would have issues with this cat again. Josh and I fell asleep around 10:30 and at around 12:30, I jolted awake. I'm not quite sure what woke me up, but I think I heard the door squeak open. I looked towards the door and I saw that the cat was in the room. I was frantic; not sure why. haha I woke Josh up and told him the cat was in the room and I wanted him to get it out and shut the door. He was not happy being awaken in the middle of the night. "It's just a cat!" he told me. He got up anyways to coax the cat out and shut the door. He laid back down and the door popped open again. The door is warped so it doesn't shut all the way. He got up again and wiggled it shut. I laid there and prayed that the door would stay shut and that I would be able to sleep and make it through the night. I know it seems like I over-reacted, but I grew up having no pets at all! I'm not used to having dogs or cats crawling around my room/bed at night.
